Chapter 54 - Very Pretentious

What Fujimura Miyu said was true. Her sister, Kasumi, did pull her hair out once. Kasumi got caught, when they were younger, stealing some of Miyu's toys by a maid. This was around when they were ten, and when the maid told their father, Kasumi got in trouble and was grounded. This was a time where Miyu still thought that her father was a good person, until she figured out that the only reason he was acting good was so that she'll listen to whatever he tells her to do.

When Kasumi got in trouble, she snuck into her room and grabbed onto her hair and teared at it. Half of Miyu's hair on the left hand side was ripped off and fell to the ground, where it was swept off and thrown away like a bad memory.

Miyu loved her hair, and she thought about getting Kasumi back, but she remembered her mother's wishes and decided to leave her alone, for now.

Miyu thought that this was good enough revenge, Kasumi being embarrassed in front of a crowd of people, including the prince that Kasumi has always longed for!

Kasumi was at the moment traumatized. She didn't understand what was going on, it was all like a bad dream. No one hates her, right? She's perfect, everyone loves her! These words that they're saying are lies, why are they believing her pathetic sister instead of her?

Kasumi laughed awkwardly, her hands sweating, "H-hey! Sister, don't spout words that you know aren't true... Do you like to bully your sister so much?"

Miyu looked at her and shook her head, "No, never! Why would I bully my sister, you're so... um..."

She began to snap her fingers, trying to think of a proper word. When she thought of it, her face lit up, "You're very pretentious... or even conceited!"

Kasumi's face flared at these words, and turned even redder when she heard the laughter around them. Miyu gave a confused face and asked, "What's so funny? What's the joke?"

The crowd silenced at this and felt pity,

"Oh, she really likes her rude sister..."

"I wish I could have so much love for a person that I'll would be able to love them even if she's mean! So much love!"

"She's ignorant, but kind.. I feel so much pity for this young woman."

Kasumi glared at Miyu but gave a sweet smile, that seemed to be dripping in sourness.

Kasumi laughed and hugged Miyu, the first hug Miyu has ever received from her, "Sister, what a jokester! You're so funny!"

Miyu hugged her back with a bit of hesitation before saying, "Thank you! I'm sorry, but I must go now. I've finished my tea and snacks and need to return home to father. He's worried about you, he doesn't know where you went. You should come back too!"

Kasumi froze up and looked back at Ryota. She patted Miyu's shoulders before saying, "Maybe later, I still have some business to attend to."

Miyu gave a bright smile to her, "Sure sister! I hope you finish quickly so I can see you again soon!"

Miyu skipped away from the cafe, heading home. Arata on her shoulder was laughing the whole time. He was laughing so hard he was crying and couldn't breath correctly. He kept panting until they came home for him to drink.
