Felix was feeling pretty out of sorts already when he ran into someone he had never thought he would see again. Rachel Webster. She was taller, her hairstyle was different, and her face was slightly older but it was unmistakably her. How in the world did she of all people end up being his cashier at the Burger Barn he went to at least once a week?!
"Rachel Webster? Is that you?" he asked in disbelief.
She replied cheerfully. "Yep! I was wondering when you would notice."
"Wow. I wasn't expecting to run into you here. How long have you worked here?"
"About six months."
"For real? I come here all the time and I never see you!"
"That must be because I usually work in the back. Do you live around here then?" Rachel asked curiously.
"No, I work around here. This is the cheapest place to get food nearby," Felix said sheepishly, making her laugh.
"Makes sense. I'd love to catch up with you but there is a line. What's your number?"
