"Okay, sit down, tell me what happened in detail so that I can get the whole story, and then we can go from there. Of course, it's your decision; it was your relationship, not mine. I'm just here to listen as a friend and for support." Jacklyn said.

Ash tried fighting back his tears and keeping his emotions inside. He took a deep breath and exhaled. Jacklyn sat down at the table again, waiting for Ash to join her. She patted the table a few times with her hand to signal Ash to sit down. He sat back down at the table on the opposite side of Jacklyn.

"Well, I guess I should start from the start. Scarlett and James were together in her bedroom ever since she got out of the infirmary for the wound she got from Athan. James was looking after her like you were looking after me." Ash began to explain.

"Who said I was looking after you?" Jacklyn exclaimed.
