Showdown

"Wait, hold on, look" Jacklyn interrupted, pointing at the sky.

All their heads turned upwards, focusing on the sky. The sun had begun disappearing behind heavy, grey, dense clouds. It was summertime and the sun was shining brightly not five minutes ago, all was warm and bright and now, it was cold and gloomy. The clouds began turning greyer and greyer, there were rumbles and crashes with every crash, the clouds grew denser and darker. By now, the sun had completely gone behind the clouds and everything was cold.

"A thunderstorm in summer? That's very strange." Scarlett said.

"A thunderstorm just in time for me to deal with all three of you. Perfect I think, very dramatic ending" Heath laughed to himself.

The thunder grew closer to them until the crashing and rumbling noises were right above them. They all slowly broke direct eye contact with the sky and lowered their heads. There was a sudden flash that lit up the sky, followed by a huge crashing noise. Lightning had struck and rain began pouring from the sky, Soaking everyone and showering everything. The ground slowly became one huge puddle and their hair began dripping with water. Everything was wet and the ground was becoming a river at this point, but that didn't stop any of them. They all stood there in the rain, waiting for it to finish, but It didn't. It just carried on.

"Okay, enough of this thunderstorm, What's your idea, Scarlett?" Jacklyn asked, wringing out her hair,

"Yeah Scarlett, Whats this amazing idea you have?" Heath mocked.

"Shut it, That's nothing to do with you." Scarlett gobbed back.

"Well, I thought maybe we could try like a distraction? Ash, You could distract him in whatever way you do best. Then, Jacklyn and I could try to sneak around and attack from behind. We may not do major damage, but any damage is better than nothing, I suppose. It's just if Jacklyn did it, it would be too obvious and he knows I want to kill him anyway." Scarlett explained very quietly.

"I got you, I think it's worth a try at least. I'm down to try anything to take him down" Ash accepted.

Scarlett nodded and made direct eye contact with Heath who was just stood there watching them all talk amongst themselves.

"Are you done with the club meeting now?" Heath jokingly questioned,

"Just planning your death, That's all." Jacklyn laughed.

"Whatever. Just know this, I plan on killing you all today," Heath said.

There was a flash of lightning again and before anyone could do anything. Heath had clashed swords with Scarlett. He swung viciously at her but she counteracted all his swings. He tried stabbing her and slashing her but only managed to slightly cut her arm.

"There's three of us here, So why only target me? Or is it, because you see me as the biggest threat to you?" Scarlett asked.

"No, Its because I know you will put up the biggest fight and that sounds fun to me. No point in killing the weakest, that's boring. Why do that? when I can have a long fun fight of beating you" Heath replied swinging at Scarlett.

"I'll have you know, Ash and Jacklyn are just equally as strong, just in different ways than me. It doesn't make them weak." Scarlett added.

Heath paused for a minute, took a step back before another crash of thunder happened and he instantly shot towards Scarlett, trying to stab her. Scarlett uppercut his attack and jumped back towards Ash and Jacklyn as Heath flew backwards.

"I'll give you a signal when to go," Scarlett said in one breath.

Ash nodded and waited.

"But be careful, He's no joke, He's a lot stronger than we all thought" She added.

"You stupid girl, How dare you attack me like that." Heath snapped.

Scarlett smirked and shrugged her shoulders and squared up Heath, once again. He ran at her again, slashing his sword in all sorts of directions and angles, hoping to land a hit on her. He jumped in the air towards her and brought his sword down, But Scarlett dodged his attack. Heath landed back on his feet and flipped around to face Scarlett. He slashed his sword at her and managed to cut her arm, causing her to scream in pain as she dropped her sword.

"Got you that time didn't I" Heath mocked.

"It's just a tiny cut, Don't get too ahead of yourself" She snapped back.

Scarlett picked up her sword and tried to ignore the pain of her arms wound. She clenched her sword and ran at Heath. She slashed towards his face, but he blocked. She tried his legs but he grabbed her arm and yanked her away. Scarlett gained her balance once again and went to attack him from the top instead, This time, She brought her sword down but Heath grabbed her leg. She proceeded to try to struggle him off her but he slammed her to the ground.

"Scarlett!" Ash yelled.

"Not so big of a legendary hunter are you now? Please, you can't even land an attack on me" Heath gobbed.

Heath grabbed Scarlett by the neck, lifted her off the ground and watched her struggle to find the ground. He laughed in her face and snatched her sword out of her hands.

"Now, do I kill you with your sword? or my own? I think your own sword is so much more Cliche, don't you think? " Heath laughed as he dragged Scarlett's sword down her body gently.

"Put me down" Scarlett choked.

Heath lifted Scarlett's sword and placed it right at her stomach. Right before he was about to push the sword, Scarlett had kicked the sword out of his hands and kicked his stomach. Causing him to drop Scarlett, She scrammed to pick up her sword and stood her ground. She watched as Heath clenched his stomach in pain.

"No one ever grabs me by the neck like that" Scarlett demanded.

Heath shook his head and his expression went from irritated to seriously angry. His face grew with rage and turned a bright shade of red, He was grinding his teeth together as he picked up his own sword and glared at Scarlett.

" Okay? So if I can't attack you, Maybe, I should attack one of them" Heath said as he ran in the direction of Jacklyn.

Scarlett instantly shot in the way of Jacklyn, Pushed her aside and blocked his attack. They stood there in a duel, Scarlett trying to force her way out of the attack, but Heath trying to land the attack. Their swords clashed against each other, One trying to slice down, while the other was preventing the attack.

"I gotta admit Heath, You're a lot stronger than last time" She exclaimed.

Scarlett was forced down to her knees, still trying to prevent his sword from making contact with her. She began shaking and struggling and Heath kept pushing further down.

"Bold and brave, but also stupid and reckless. Just give up now Scarlett, You're done" He laughed.

"Ash do something! If she doesn't hold that he will slice her in half" Jacklyn exclaimed.

"No, we must wait for her signal" He replied.

Scarlett signalled Ash to make a move just as Heath almost sliced Scarlett open. Ash had shot a bullet right into Heath and he dropped his attack. Jacklyn ran over and pulled Scarlett back to where they were once standing.

"Screw you mutt" He snapped.

"Keep going" Jacklyn whispered.

Ash walked up to Heath who was standing back turned to them. Ash planted his boot right into his back and Heath when crashing face-first into the ground. He then grabbed him and began punching his face, Left and right, Leaving cut marks from his rings and a black eye. Heath grabbed Ash and slung him off. Heath got to his feet and kicked Ash right in the side causing him to fly into the walls of the old house ruins, followed by the wall crumbling on top of him. Heath walked over and began pulling the rocks off Ash until he could see his face. He began digging his fingers into his eye sockets as Ash let out a yell in pain.

"I guess you are the first to go," Heath said.

Ash managed to free an arm and leg before proceeding to trip Heath down, Gaining himself some time to get out under the rubble. Ash wiped the blood from his face then slashed his claws right across Heath's left side of his face. Ash took a few steps back and let Heath gain his balance.

By this time Scarlett and Jacklyn had managed to make their way behind the house ruins and could see an opening to attack Heath as Ash distracted him.

"You think your so big and mighty don't you?" Heath snapped, wiping blood from his face.

"I don't need to think anything. I know, I am a lot stronger than you" Ash replied.

"Pretty bold statement there, isn't it? I thought Scarlett was the strongest one out of all of you. At least you could land some good attacks" Heath said,

"Don't try to gain my friendship, it won't work" Ash cocked.

"awe Ashy boy, it seems your friends have left you by yourself. Some friends huh?" Heath mocked.

"No, you see-" Ash said before being cut off by cutting flesh.

Scarlett had snuck up behind Heath and slashed his back open with her sword, Jacklyn followed by throwing a knife into his side and kicked it in deeper, then pulling it back out before repeating, watching the blood pour from his sides. Ash followed with a gunshot to the other side. Heath went collapsing to the floor. Jacklyn tried to pick up his sword, so he didn't have a weapon. But heath was still conscious and grabbed Jacklyn and pulled her down against him in a headlock, choking her.

"Jacklyn!" Ash yelled.

Ash ran over to them and shot Heath right in the shoulder again, but he didn't let go. So Scarlett stomped on his arm until it became smashed in, bruised and broken.

"Let her go" She exclaimed with every stamp.

Heath finally let go of Jacklyn and they all ran back to their safe spot, Somewhere back in the woods. Leaving Heath on the ground in the rain and dirt.

"Jacklyn? Are you alright" Ash asked, making sure she was okay.

She nodded and gained her breath back. The rain stopped but the wind picked up and blew through their hair, It was still cold.

"He is a lot stronger than we thought Scarlett. What now? Because that didn't work." Jacklyn asked.

"I have to agree. We all took some beating in there, But we need a new plan, He is onto us." Ash added.

"Maybe we got him? Like dead? Scarlett? what do you think?" Ash asked looking at Scarlett.

"Guys, I have a feeling he will be coming back for us soon, so we don't have much time," Scarlett said as the wind gushed through her hair.
