3 "Just talk to me"

Ash walked over to the bed, Slid himself next to Scarlett.

"Hey, you awake?" Ash asked,

"I-i'm sorry" Scarlett mumbled,

"You need to eat and drink something love" Ash told her.

"No, I need to talk to you, Eating can wait." Scarlett muttered.

Ash rose from the bed, walked to the window and sighed.

"For once Scarlett, Can you not be so stubborn!?" Ash exclaimed.

Scarlett immediately got up and pushed the covers off her.

"Oh my god Ash, One minute you want me to tell you, Now that i want too, You want me to eat and drink something." Scarlett snapped back.

Scarlett threw her fist into the wall, Rapidly. Until her fist began to bleed.

"Hey, Hey! Stop that! I never meant it like that." Ash exclaimed,

"Really!? How did you mean it exactly?" Scarlett said with an attitude.

"Scarlett, Calm down please. I hate seeing you like this." Ash said, lowering his voice.

Scarlett's eyes slowly drew to her bleeding hand. The crimson red drops falling to the floor making faint splat noises. She slowly felt herself beginning to craving again.

"S-Scarlett?" Ash mumbled.

Scarlett held her bleeding fist, She ran to the bathroom and looked the door right behind her. She looked at her shaking hands which were covered in blood. Ash began banging at the door.

"Scarlett, Love. Everything okay!?" Ash asked concerned.

"Everything is fine. Actually. No, No its not. ." Scarlett said as she slid herself down onto the cold tiled floor.

Scarlett reached slowly to the door, with shaking hands struggled to unlock the door.

Ash walked into the bathroom grabbed some antibacterial cleaner and some bandages then slid himself next to Scarlett on the floor.

"Why don't you just feed?" Ash said applying pressure to her fist with a cloth.

"Because, you learnt to live without the blood, I want to be able to do that as well. " Scarlett explained.

"Love, You have been involved in this lifestyle a lot longer than myself. You are more dependent on the blood. So you need to have it more than I do. Please stop fighting the urges. If you need to drink blood, Then drink. Do it. Even if I'm not around. I don't want you to struggle or hurt yourself. If you go too far, I will stop you. I promise. I just don't want you to end up doing this again. I mean look at your fist." Ash explained.

Scarlett flinched a little as he removed the cloth and started applying the antibacterial cleaner to her fist. It stung at first and became tingly but then the pain subsided and Ash began bandaging her fist up.

"The thing is though it's just hard. You know. You aren't as dependent on it as I am. You're a hybrid you can control your cravings. I am a full vampire. Its harder for me. I just don't know why I keep fighting. I guess I'm just stubborn. The truth is, I'm disgusted by it. I should be but its not normal, It's a horrible habit. Think of how my parents would react to this." Scarlett explained.

"Scarlett. Don't worry what they think. You've left their house now. You can do what you want now. Look at you. You are beautiful. You are unique. They were just holding you back. You got the career you want, the guy you want, and mostly the lifestyle you chose. Don't be disgusted. You are different and I think its cute. Yes, I learnt to control my cravings. It's easier for somebody who hasn't been involved as much as you have. But, in the end. I wont let you get carried away. I wont let you kill anybody or hurt yourself." Ash said smiling.

"Ash, You just don't understand. I don't just crave blood. not my own, or others but yours. I know that fighting the cravings build up. Then its harder to fight them. But I've never been this strongly attached before. You see, one a vampire becomes attached to somebody they usually crave their blood, their embrace. Usually their "Lover". they crave their blood a lot more than anything else. So in a way me craving your blood is completely normal." Scarlett explained.

Ash sat there taking in everything that Scarlett was saying.

"Look, you are wrong. I do understand. I crave too. I have just learnt to control my cravings. I know you crave mine. I have been able to tell since a while back." Ash said.

"Why, Did you not say anything!" Scarlett snapped.

"Because, I didn't want to stress you out. I know how worked up you get if you don't feed. You need to start fulfilling your urges. Your cravings. I know you don't like it, I am not going to force you. Scarlett you need to stop being so stubborn and let others help you. Please, I know you cant control it. I'm a hybrid. You are a full vampire. It is harder for you." Ash explained

Scarlett sighed.

"Ash, If I get out of hand, How will you stop me? You've never seen me go full out. have you?" Scarlett asked.

Ash ignored what Scarlett said and stood up.

"Scarlett, Why didn't you just talk to me. Tell me all this before. Tell me you were struggling with cravings?" Ash asked.

"Because, I always have. Plus I can look after myself." Scarlett said rolling her eyes.

They both got up off the floor. Ash threw the bloody cloth into the bin and made sure Scarlett was okay before leaving the bathroom. He headed down stairs while Scarlett stood in the bathroom. Alone. She washed her face and as she rose her head she cause a glimpse of something shining. Something sharp. She turned around and picked this little object up. She examined it carefully and ran her finger across it. It was a razor. She picked up the alcohol and cleaned it. Scarlett knew she shouldn't after the fight with Ash. She couldn't help it. She needed to, as Ash said, he would be there for her if she went too far.

Scarlett held the razor up to the mirror and took a deep breathe...
