8 Chapter 8

Before José Rizal could read Potenciano's mind, the latter had already gone ahead of him.

"Okay, I would like to wish for a powerful system like those of novels and fanfictions which the main character grows strong or just go overpower like they're injected with adrenaline" Potenciano says as he imagines himself flying through space with a flying sword as he saves people, fight those evil gods with powers capable of destroying worlds and becoming someone who is praised and worshipped by the people.

"A system..... Your wish, Potenciano is denied" José Rizal says as Potenciano awakens from his daydreaming when he heard those words.

"Why!?!"

"Because first of all, your wish is something hard to do even for me since only those with lots of power and faith could possibly make" José Rizal says as Potenciano cuts in

"But you are a god, a highest god that rules over the gods in the Philippines. Why can't you do it still?"

"Because that kind of wish would need at least twice the power I have and my powers are limited unless we get permission to the god of the bible to unlock my powers to the fullest" José Rizal calmly explained as he continued

"Next, a system is akin to be something of a shortcut to others as they gain power to easy and Lastly, why would you need a system when you could just wish for a power to train to the limits and become a god to it"

"But I still want a system" Potenciano insisted as José Rizal's face hardens a bit.

"And why do you insist on wishing it still give me a reason?" José Rizal asked.

"Because... A system to me is like a companion, they're always there when you need something, they are there when you feel lonely, they're there like a companion when I'm through times of need, and they are the only one that I could trust when I am by myself" Potenciano reasoned to why he insists on the wish.

"Well you could have wished for a pet instead of a system. A pet could become your friend and it can grow strong along side you know." José Rizal said as he truly wished for Potenciano to change his mind as a system is too much of a work for someone like him who has the lowest power among the highest gods in the world.

"Yes, I know a pet can fulfill my wish but I just don't want to see my companion to be hurt protecting me when I could protect myself and beside I want someone who I could talk to"

"Then wish for a indestructible pet then if you don't want to see them hurt and besides that the pet can also talk when it reaches a certain threshold" José Rizal reasoned some more.

"No, my wish won't change even if you insist and besides if I think of it a system could also buy me a pet in the store or shop interface" Potenciano said.

"Kuh.... You got me there. Fine, I will think of a way to fulfill this wish seriously your like a businessman you persuasion skills are good"

"It's nothing I just learned some of it from novels and comics like one of those novels where the MC tricked a goddess into given him a skill or haggled, I don't quite remember" Potenciano humbly said

"Tssk.... What is it with those writer's even there imagination are scary to even think of making a plot like this I should really start observing the human world and warn some of the gods of other countries about this" José Rizal murmured to himself as he began using some sort of sorcery as a portal appear before him startling Potenciano as a deep voice came from the other side of the portal.

"Who are thou to call thy person?"

"I am José Rizal, the current highest god who rules over the Philippines" José Rizal respectfully says as he bows his head.

"What are thou want with thy person?" the deep voice says.

"I came here to gain permission to use my full power to fulfill the wish of this mortal soul"

"What is his wish that needs to use your full power?"

"His wish is to have a system like those people in other countries" José Rizal answered

"Hmmm..... So another one of those people with chuunibiyo syndrome has come and the illness even reached into your country" The voice said with a sad tone

"I don't have a chuuni syndrome!!!" Potenciano screamed as he heard the voice say it.

"Ahem.... God of the Bible, will you please give me permission to use my power to fulfill this request"

"You may, since there are a lot of god who have already done so with or without my permission why not add another to the mix but..." As Potenciano was about to jump from excitement that his wish is gonna be granted.

"But he will have to complete some missions in the worlds he may visit one day and you will supervise the missions rewarding, is that clear?"

"Yes, God" José Rizal answered

"Very well" As the voice fell so as the portal closed. As José Rizal then look back at Potenciano and then proceeds to talk with him.

"Now that I got the permission, but Potenciano are you sure this is your wish since making a system will take 2 of your wishes that would leave you with 1 wish remaining?" José Rizal asked.

"Yes, since my second would be something along the lines of immortality or alike but I can still buy something close to it in the shop maybe or I could just cultivate into immortality like those xianxia novels" Potenciano answered as he didn't mind the wish being used as two.

"Very well then how about your last wish, what would you wish?"

"I wish for the prosperity of the country for a year as a thanks to it and my parents for giving birth and the care they have given me"

"You're wish is noble but sadly I can't grant that wish" José Rizal sadly said as he shakes his head.

"Why?"

"Since we gods aren't allowed to interfere with humanity as this would disrupt the peace of the world"

"But isn't it just a prosperity for the country why would it disrupt the peace of the world"

"Okay, imagine this if a country became prospering magically one day and other gods came to know about it what would you think would happen?"

"Uhmm.... The gods would be doing the same and grant their land the same prosperity?" Potenciano answered.

"Yes, but much worse they will begin competing with one another to make one ahead than the other until there countries just go all out warring against one another. That is why we are forbidden to grant something like that even if you have the best intention in mind some gods can be petty with those intention" José Rizal lectured as to why gods don't grant that kind of wish even if it benefit the land they rule over.

"Then what would you wish now, Potenciano?"

"Then, I will wish for the power to travel to worlds where I could meet my favorite characters and to help change some of their worse decision"

"Good wish but there is something you should know about travelling through worlds"

"What is it?" Potenciano asked

"Travelling through worlds has a certain limits as you can't travel through worlds willy nilly or in your own accord. You will have to gain permission to the overseer of the world you plan to go to if you want to enter cause some won't allow while others might need you to be transmigrated there and others just get you to be born there. Understand what I'm telling you?" José Rizal said

"I didn't quite get it but I can only say I understand the general idea about it" Potenciano answered truthfully as he stares at José Rizal.

"Hayss.... As long as you get it then now let's go to your first wish. I'm going create it and make it fuse to your soul as this gonna be a tiresome to me since I'm going to use all my powers. Are you ready? Now let's see what kind of system I should make for you.... Any ideas, kid since this is your system" José Rizal says as he began making the system by some kind of ritual with lights coming out of his hands as a miniature galaxy came to being as it shrunk until it is between his palm as it took a form of a core in his hand.

"Well, here is the core of your system. Now we will just need to program some functions to it then we fuse it to your soul. So what do you want it to have? and remember we can't go overboard with the functions as it took almost half of my full power and your system would be a upgradable one as you will be the one who will upgrade it" José Rizal said.

"Then what would I need to upgrade it?" asked Potenciano

"Well, anything of use like materials, golds, currency, anything usable for its upgrade"

"Well I want my system to have the status function with the attribute distribution with it"

"I can agree with that"

"Next is the store function where I can buy different goods, skills, and anything I would need from different worlds"

"Hmmm..... The store function can't be made with all of the items of different worlds since there's a ton of different worlds out there existing especially parallel and alternate universes as such I can only make this system's store like a downloadable one where you can only add the name of the universe one at a time for each world you visit since it would need to rest for loading every thing known to the universe as shop item and the resting period would depend to the size of the universes data"

"Well I can agree to it since there is that DC Universe also a Marvel Universe full of many heroes known and unknown also there items and skills would be included so I could understand the resting period. Okay, I would like to have a inventory function with infinite space in it and I could put anything inside."

"Inventory huh.... Hmmm, I can make it but having the infinite space, no. I can only make a inventory with 50 spaces with each space having a 5x5 sq. meter² and unlocking space would require resources to be used"

"Okay, then finally my final request would be for the system to have a butler like voice. Since I want a male friend to talk to and not a female since it feels awkward to talk" Potenciano requested

"This one easy, okay. Including all of what you requested I will add a mission function where you could see the mission that the world you visit would propose to you" José Rizal said.

After more than a hour of tinkering and adding the functions to the core of the system, José Rizal finally finished making it as he gestures to Potenciano to come to him.

"Done, now Potenciano. Come here, so that I could bind this system to your soul" José Rizal said as he hold the core in his hand as Potenciano came closer as José Rizal plunged the core to Potenciano's soul body as it then began to fuse as the pain shot through his soul as if he was drown in a pool of hells flame and then plunged into the coldest water of Neptune as he lay awake even if he wanted to faint but couldn't. The pain lasted for more 5 hours before it seized as Potenciano finally fainted from the torture he experienced.

"Whoooo... Finally finished this troublesome wish, I need to rest for a time" José Rizal says as he lifts Potenciano's limp body as his tired body transfer him to a guest room as he lay it there as he tuck it with a blanket while he teleports himself to his restroom.
