1 Chapter 1

Somewhere, in the far reaches of the void floats a body of a person. At a distance you may see the outline of a teenage male in the age of 19 to 20 years old, but as you may look closer you will notice that his body seems incorporeal like those ghost seen in television. His features are that of a Filipino and American breed, smooth white hair that looks as if powder snow, his face seems a little above average in looks but unnoticeable when in a group, his body is neither too fat or is too thin just fit if one could say.

As his body floats in the vast emptiness of the void, his body started quaking a bit seemingly steering him awake as his eyelids flickers open as he stare on to the vast void. And as he stare on the vast emptiness of his view, he started trying to recall what had happened to him.

For starters, his name was Potenciano Magtanggol, a 19 years old college student studying HRM course, he was from a family of four in which he's the oldest and a little brother named Boris, a mother from the Philippines and a father of American descent. His family was currently living at his mother's native home the Philippines with his parents and little brother. He started to think on how he got here when suddenly a bright light flashed right in front of him that he had to close his eyes and as the glaring light dimmed he finally saw who had made that event.

In front of him, stands a man wearing those of a datu that could be seen in ancient times in Philippines history. The man's looks are like those who had seen and fought on wars, a physique like those of bodybuilder but more compact and lean, and finally the way he stands makes him more regal and majestic like he was of royal descent plus with his sword like weapon which he recalled it was a kampilan that glows with gentle hue of blue. And as he was observing the man, the man was also observing him before asking.

"Binata, ano at naparito ka sa gitna ng kawalan?" - Man (Kid, What are you doing here in the middle of nowhere?)

"Hindi mo ba alam na mapeligro dito lalo na kung hindi ka pa isang ganap na bathala." (Don't you know its dangerous here, even then that you are not a god)

"Paumanhin po, ngunit di ko rin po alam kung paano din ako nakarating dito sa kawalan" - Potenciano (I'm sorry because even I don't know how I even got here in this void)

"Hmmm... sa iyong hugis at pangangatawan pati sa iyong mga kilos ay mukhang wala katalagang nalalaman at base sa itsura mo mukhang ika'y namatay kama'y kailan lamang" - Man

(Hmmm... according to your shape and physique especially on the way you move your it appears that you really don't know and base upon your appearance you looked like you just died recently)

"Ano!?! Wait lang, Papano ako namatay?" - MC (What!?! Wait a moment, How did I die?)

"Hmmm... Sa tingin, ko umalis muna tayo sa lugar na ito at baka may mangyari na di ka nais-nais sa atin dito."

(Hmmm.... I think, we should leave this place first before something bad happens to us)

"Sumasangayon ako sa iyo pero paano kita paniniwalaan na dadalhin mo ko sa ligtas na lugar kung di ko alam ang pangalan mo." (I agree with you but how should I trust you that you will bring me to a safe place first if I don't even know your name.) He said then puts a bit of distance between him and the man.

"Paumanhin kung hindi ko naipakilala ang aking sarili. Ako'y si Lapu-Lapu Dimantag, ang dating pinuno ng Mactan, at ngayo'y isa sa mga maraming mga bathala na nagbabantay sa Pilipinas." (I apologize if I didn't introduced myself. My name is Lapu-Lapu Dimantag, the previous chieftain of Mactan and one of the now many gods that guards the Philippines) - Lapu-Lapu

"Ikaw si Lapu-Lapu?! Di ba namatay ka sa iyong laban ni Ferdinand Magellan? paano ka naging isang bathala? (You're the Lapu-Lapu?! Didn't you die in your battle with Ferdinand Magellan? How could you become a God?) - MC

" Sasagutin ko lahat ng katanungan mo iyan mamaya pero maaari ba na tayo'y makaalis sa lugar na ito?" (I will answer all of you're questions but first we should leave this place?) Lapu-Lapu said and then opens a portal by swinging his kampilan in the air diagonally making tearing sound in space and proceeded walk into the portal.

"Ah sige, sige at ako'y kinakabahan nga sa lugar na ito." (Ah sure, sure and I have been feeling goosebumps in staying in this place) Potenciano said hurriedly.

With Potenciano following behind Datu Lapu-Lapu leaving the once noisy void back into a silent and empty void.

In a place where the vegetation is green and wind fresh from pollution with birds are chirping and tiny cretins are frolicking in the middle of a forest where a nearby hut stands appears a portal and the figures of Datu Lapu-Lapu and Potenciano arrived. And as they arrived, the portal behind them closes without a sign being there the first place.

"Halina at ka'y pumasok sa aking tirahan, ipaghahanda kita ng maiinom at tayo'y ay makapag-usap." (Come on, and let's enter my abode, I'll prepare us some refreshments and then we could talk)

said Lapu-Lapu as he enters the hut and gestures for Potenciano to sit on a chair.

"Salamat sa paanyaya." (Thank you for the invitation) said Potenciano and as he seated himself upon a chair further comfort himself and then arrives Lapu-Lapu with mugs that seemed to be made of polished wood filled with water.

"Eto kaibigan, inumin" (Here my friend, refreshment)

"Thank you, sir" said Potenciano as he receive the mug from Lapu-Lapu and proceeded to take a sip.

"Ngayon, pwede mo ba sabihin ang ngalan mo at ang iyong natatandaan nung ika'y nabubuhay sa mundo" (Well then, can I ask your name and anything you remember when your still living on earth) said Lapu-Lapu as he takes a sip as well

"Ako'y pala si Potenciano Mactanggol pero pwede na rin po na Enteng ang itawag sa akin gaya ng pagtawag ng aking mga kaibigan. At ang tanging natatandaan ko po lamang ay ang aking ngalan, mga magulang at kapatid at ang pag-aaral ko mula elementarya hanggang colegio hanggang dun lamang ang akin naaalala." (My name is Potenciano Magtanggol but you can call me Enteng like my friends call me. And the only thing I could remember was my name, my parents and brother and the time I was studying from elementary to college) said Potenciano while scratching the back of his head.

"Hmmm..... natatandaan mo ba kung paano ka namatay o nakarating sa gitna ng kawalan?" (Hmmm... Do you remember how you died or how you got into the middle of the void?) asked Lapu-Lapu

"Wala talaga na umaabot sa aking pag-iisip. Ngunit maitanong ko po lamang, paano niyo po pala ako nahanap sa kawalan?" (There's nothing that comes to mind. But may I ask how did you find me in the void?) Potenciano asked

"Sige, ang dahilan kung paano kita nahanap ay dahil nakaramdam ako ng anomalya sa kawalan malapit sa lugar kung saan kita natagpuan." (Ok, the reason in how I found you is because I sensed a disturbance in the void near the location where I found) he answered.

"Ganun" (I see) Potenciano then asked "Teka, paano ka nga pala naging bathala at kung ano bathala ang iniprepresenta niyo po kung maitatanong ko lamang?" (Wait, How did you became a god and which god do you represent as, if I may ask?)

"Hmmm... Sa aking pagkakaalam at pagtatanong ko sa mga bathala na nauuna sa akin ay dahil ito sa mga paniniwala at nakaka-alala ng maraming tao sakin kung kaya ako'y umabot bilang isang bathala at kung tatanungin mo ko kung anong bathala ang aking inirerepresenta ko, ako ang bathala ng pakikidigma ng Pilipinas." (Hmmm... In my memory and asking among the other gods that came before me is that the reason I became a god is due to the many people believing and remembers me and also I am the god of war of the Philippines) answered Lapu-Lapu as his aura spreads in the hut making Potenciano stay still at his seat while his back is starting to be covered in sweat.

As Lapu-Lapu saw him, he retracted his aura back and the pressure in the hut visibly disappears. Finally Lapu-Lapu started asking about his life on earth and Potenciano answered most of the questions due to some being unable to answer, and as the talk came Lapu-Lapu asked him.

"Ngayon, Ano ang gusto mong gawin ngayon matapos nito?" (Now, What are going to do after this?)

"???.... What?" Potenciano said

"Tinatanong kita, Enteng kung ano ang gusto mong gawin ngayon kung gusto mo ba na ibalik kita sa siglo ng buhay upang maipanganak muli o dalhin kita sa kalangitan kung saan naparoon ang mabubuti dahil batay sa kaluluwa mo ay hindi ka naman masama at medyo may nagawa kang kabutihan noong ika'y nabubuhay sa mundo. Ano sa tingin mo?" (I'm asking you, Enteng on what you want now? I can send you back to the cycle of life which it can give you new life or I could bring you to heaven which the good stay since your spirit isn't tainted in bad karma and pretty much you did some good since you where alive. So, what do you think?) said Lapu-Lapu.

"Kung pwede ko lang po itanong, pwede ko po sana na palitan ang mga pagpipilian ng tatlong kahilingan na lang po? (If I may ask, can I ask if I could choose to get three wishes instead of the choices you've given?) ask Potenciano

"Ano dahilan kung bakit gusto mo na tatlong kahilingan na ang hilingin?" (What is the reason for why you choose for a three wishes then?)

curiously asked Lapu-Lapu

"Dahil ako'y napapanglawan at natatamaran sa buong buhay ko sa mundo na ako'y ilang ulit napapaisip magpakamatay kung kaya't napaisip ako na humiling na mabuhay ako gaya ng mga bida sa novela, komiks, manga, at libro na aking nabasa o kahit maging parte ng mga buhay nila para maranasan ko na may naidulot man lang ako na maganda sa buhay ng iba." (Because I was feeling dull and bored in my entire life for that I thought I would wish to live like those main characters I read in novels, comics, manga and books or even to be a part of their life in such I could have reason in life that at least I benefited for someone else's) he mournfully said while Potenciano's face exhibits how aggrieved he was in his life for not being able to benefit or change anyone's life for he has little to no abilities at all to show to the world who has many talented people that changes the life of many people.

"Naiintindihan ko ang iyong hinain ngunit ako'y walang kakayanan na matupad ang iyong hiling ngunit mayroon ako maitutulong upang magawan na paraan ang problemang ito kaso kailangan mo maipakita sa nakatataasang bathalang iyon na may kakayanan ka at buong ang loob mo na matupad ang iyong kahilingan. Magagawa mo ba ito kahit alam mo na mahirap ang pagsubok na iyong haharapin?" (I understand your grievances but I don't have the capabilities to grant your wish but I may have a way to solve this problem but you will need to show it to that highest god there that you have the ability and brave enough to get what you wanted. Can you still do it even though the challenges that you will face in your way?) Lapu-Lapu asked earnestly to Potenciano

"Gagawin ko kung kakailanganin ko na ako'y lumangoy sa nagbabagang dagat ng apoy o tumalon sa tuktok ng pinakamataas na kabundukan ay aking gagawin para matupad lamang ang aking kahilingan!!!" (I'll do it even if I have to swim a flaming sea of fire or jump from the top of the tallest mountain, I will still do it so that my wish could granted!!!) screamed Potenciano

"Ayan ang gusto ko, tara puntahan na natin ang pinakamataas na bathala upang mahingi ko ang permiso na tuparin ang tatlo mong kahilingan!" (That's it, come with me to the highest god so I can get a permission to grant you your wishes!) said Lapu-Lapu as he prepares to open the portal

"Opo!!!" (Yes!!!) answered Potenciano following the god on their way to the highest god.
