10 Chapter 10

As Potenciano couldn't wait too long for the training to start due to him being too excited, he immediately stood up from his bed and felt himself brimming with energy as he began doing warmups and exercise and waited for an hour before Lapu-Lapu arrived to his room. As Lapu-Lapu saw him already awake and standing, he gestured him to follow him as he started the conversation.

"Afternoon, Enteng. How are you? Did your wishes got granted?"

"Good Afternoon, as well Datu Lapu-Lapu. Yes, I am fine and Yes, all my wishes has been granted except I only got two wishes"

"Why did you only get two wishes? Did the highest god scammed you of your wish?" Lapu-Lapu angrily says as he was about to go and find José Rizal to have a little chat.

"No, he didn't. He did so much more and he already warned me that one of my wish would need two instead of one since the wish would cost much more but I still agreed to it" Seeing that Lapu-Lapu was about to go and hunt José Rizal down, he stopped him and explained to him what happened as the explanation go on so as Datu Lapu-Lapu's anger go down.

"Well since he did that much, he should be or be falling from his seat since lost that much power just to make you that system. You owe a great debt for him, so you should do the best to make us or the him proud, so let's head outside to start your training" Lapu-Lapu says as he remind Potenciano the effort put into by José Rizal to make his system.

"Yes" Potenciano answered.

"Since we only have 3 days worth of training, I can only train you in danger awareness and a bit about swordsmanship but do remember that there at least a hundred.... no, a thousand types of swordsmanship out there with different styles that you will see and learn, so earnestly learn from them since you might find your own style from them, you hear me?" Lapu-Lapu turned his head to look at Potenciano to see if he was listening and boy, he wasn't disappointed at the least since the look he saw in Potenciano's face is pure enthusiasm and will.

"Since I'm going to be your trainer for fights, I won't have much time in teaching you on battle strategy since I have to take care with my domain so I called upon a friend of mine that would teach you in battle and war strategy. Oh, here he comes" As soon as Datu Lapu-Lapu finished talking, a male in scholar outfit came walking by as the call from Lapu-Lapu got his attention.

"Hello, Lapu-Lapu. Is this the one I would be teaching on war and battle strategies?" asked the scholar.

"Yes, he is the one. Potenciano come and meet my friend, I'm sure you know him since he's well known back in the Philippines as 'Dakilang Lumpo" Lapu-Lapu says as Potenciano's face brighten with excitement as he come face to face with another one of Philippines heroes.

"Potenciano meet Apolinario Mabini, the current god of wisdom, war and victory. Apolinario meet Potenciano, the kid who will be transmigrating like those guys from other countries" Lapu-Lapu introduce them to one another as Apolinario sized up the other party while Potenciano is still admiring the hero.

"Greetings, Potenciano like what Lapu-Lapu introduce I am Apolinario Mabini, the current god of wisdom, war and victory. I will be your teacher on battle tactics and war strategy for the 3 days you will stay here" Apolinario says as he smile with warmth while extending his hand towards Potenciano to shake hands.

"My name is Potenciano Mactanggol, it is also a pleasure to meet you. Is true that when you were alive you had a disabled legs? Is it true that you commanded a group to rebel against the Spaniards? Did you...." Potenciano grasp the outstretched hand of Apolinario as he shook with vigor while spewing questions to the hero.

"Slow down, Potenciano one question at a time look at Apolinario, he is getting confused to all the questions you fired off and your likely to remove his hand from his body due to the intense handshake you did" Lapu-Lapu butted in as he gave help immediately to Apolinario's pleading look to him for help.

"Thank you for the help, Lapu-Lapu can't believe this guy had such large amount of energy to shake my hands like that" Apolinario whispered to Lapu-Lapu while the latter gave him an apologizing look.

While Potenciano's view is blocked by Lapu-Lapu's back. Potenciano then heard Apolinario speak "I can only answer some of your questions later since time is off the essence and you should start training while I prepare some lessons to teach after your training. You understand?"

"Yes"

"Good, then see you later and meet me at the library for your lessons" After speaking, Apolinario then leaves them as he headed out, leaving his back to be viewed from afar.

"Well, now that the introduction is done let's head out to the training ground to teach you" Lapu-Lapu says as he lead Potenciano to the training ground.

Arriving at the training ground, Lapu-Lapu then proceeds to do some bits of lecture on swords and stuff while holding his kampilan and doing some postures, stances and other things that could be useful to teach to Potenciano.

After talking for less than an hour, Lapu-Lapu then proceeds to ask Potenciano to pick up a sword to do some training.

"Now, that I'm finish teaching a bit on swordsmanship, let's go to the real training part, since fighting for real is the only way to teach you how to protect yourself when your life is in danger, now go pick up a sword and let's spar" Potenciano then picked up a Iron sword and posed a basic stance. "You may begin, Datu Lapu-"

Even before the last word Potenciano spoke of, Lapu-Lapu had already attacked aggressively as he pounced over Potenciano with a big swing of his kampilan while instinctively Potenciano blocked it with his sword. When both of the sword met Potenciano felt the power in the attack as his body then hurled three metres away from his original spot due to the momentum and the strength on the attack of Lapu-Lapu as his body lay on the ground.

"Ouch....!!!" shouted Potenciano feeling the numbness of his arms and hand

"Always be ready in a battle, my first lesson to you Potenciano. Now, my second lesson for you is to stay focus since your life is what you wager in battle and you might lose it if you are defeated. Now stand back up, the spar ain't over yet until about an hour or so until then always be on guard" After talking Lapu-Lapu proceeded to this for about 1 hour until he stop as Potenciano fall to his knees as the pain and exhaustion is felt through out his body as Lapu-Lapu came lifting him up as he was then brought to a dark room.

As they enter the room, Potenciano couldn't help but ask "Why are you bringing me into this dark room, Datu Lapu-Lapu?"

"Well this is where your going to be trained for danger awareness since this is the most perfect place to do so" Lapu-Lapu answered as he puts down Potenciano's body as he then walks towards the door.

"Uhmm..... How does this room gonna help me by the way, Datu Lapu-Lapu?"

"Well, since asked let me ask you do you know the theory of Schrödinger's cat?"

"No, what does this have do with the room?" asked Potenciano as he felt a sense of foreboding coming.

"Well that would be a surprise for you but I'll give you some advice, you better start moving since this room will just kill you over and over physically but don't worry I will talk to you every minute to coach you, you have 2 hours before you're done" Lapu-Lapu mysteriously said as he closed the door.

What happened for over an hour would be destined as a nightmare to remember for Potenciano due to the fact that dying over and over again by himself inside a dark room while every time he revive the position of anything that could kill him would change even when he thought of staying in one place something would always come after him in a minute to kill him, as such he was forced to move every time and what made it worse was the time inside was different than outside as two hours in there was one day outside. But on the upside he was not alone as the system and Lapu-Lapu voice was there coaching him on to feel where the danger will come

After coming out of the room and getting greeted by a grinning Lapu-Lapu, the first thing Potenciano did was punch Lapu-Lapu's face but the latter dodge it with ease as he rage shouted "You are the worst for not telling me about that room to be like that"

"About what? about that being like a death room of sort where you are revive every time you die"

"Yes, I thought I was alive again seeing that I had flesh and blood again and when I first tried investigating the room, I bumped into something and I died from suffocation, then after that I revive and I immediately understand what you mean of getting killed over and over but what I didn't expect was the position of that thing would change randomly and how it even change on killing me, heck there was a freaking shark in there that jump on me, really a shark. And it even gets harder that the place would add additional things that could get me killed every 2 minutes" Potenciano angrily shouted us the pain of dying over 200 times had given him a trauma of the dark.

"Well what do you expect that was the only that I could think but hey it did help you since you could at least survive less than 10 minutes in that place for a starter" Lapu-Lapu consoled while Potenciano retorted "Yeah before getting myself killed by stepping on a landmine"

"Don't worry, you will be doing it for 2 days and hope to further enhance your sense of danger. Now, let's go to the library I will lead you there so that you could know where it is next time"

Potenciano shivered in fear and felt dread knowing that he would be doing it again for the next two days, as he follows behind him.

Reaching the library, Lapu-Lapu then left Potenciano by the front door as he told him that he was going back to his domain and saying good luck to him.

Opening the door, he was amazed at the size of the library inside as it was much larger than that of the library he seen in his entire life, as he look around he immediately saw Apolinario's sitting by a table with books besides him as he then looks up and greeted.

"There you are, Potenciano. Did the training go well with Lapu-Lapu?"

"Not so much. As his training is too extreme for even the likes of me, a mortal. He even used a freaking Schrödinger's cat theory into a freaking training exercise for sensing of danger" Potenciano said in grievance as he let off his resentment to Apolinario as he listen through his grievances.

"Well he is only doing what he thinks could do to help you since your like a friend to him"

"But couldn't he just do like a spar where he would just try and attack me while I'm blindfolded since it looks much efficient in those anime and novels I have read about"

"It may be true but he might have done it since you only have little time left to stay here and he done it like so"

"...."

"Well let's not worry about it for now and just lets get over with the lesson shall we?" Apolinario gestures to Potenciano to have a seat as he then started some history on strategies used in wars example World War I, The battle against the Spaniards and anything related.

After the time for the lessons were done, Potenciano was then freed from anything as he was sent back to his room to rest.

The cycle continued on for two days as Potenciano's training was done in such a way as from morning to afternoon, he is with Lapu-Lapu as he does the training regiment proposed by Lapu-Lapu with an hour of lesson, an hour of hellish sparring, and two hours of training his awareness on danger after having a break period 30 minutes he is then send to Apolinario for his study on war tactics and strategies as Apolinario teaches him about it until the time for him to go has come.

"I guess this it, Enteng. You are finally leaving" Lapu-Lapu says as he stands in front of his friend Potenciano as the latter hugs him.

"Yes, this is it I am going to go and travel to different world now. Thank you for everything you have taught me, Lapu-Lapu even though you traumatized me with your training regiment but still thanks anyway, I am going to miss you Datu Lapu-Lapu" Potenciano says as he hugs Lapu-Lapu tighter as the latter reciprocates the good feeling by hugging.

José Rizal comes in cut and the happy atmosphere by saying, "Okay, stop all that drama since we can always watch him if we want to"

"Jeez, why do you to do that? Don't you see we're having a brotherly moment" Lapu-Lapu says as he look at José Rizal with irritated look.

"Well I'm sorry but we don't have much time for that as we have send Potenciano off since him staying won't do any good for him" José Rizal explained as he shrug off Lapu-Lapu's look. "Well then, Potenciano. This might the last time we meet, so I just have to say be careful out there and have fun"

"You too, Sir José Rizal. Thank you for granting me my wish and I will surely make you proud" Potenciano stated as he offers a handshake as José Rizal accepted it.

"Good since you're going to have a lot of time in your hands and responsibility as well, so take care" After José Rizal say that Apolinario came in front as well.

"Take care, my boy. Do remember the lessons that we have taught you and be careful out since there are a lot of worlds out there that we don't know much"

"I will, Sir Apolinario" Potenciano smiled.

"Be careful out there since you're going to be reborn into a world so you'll never know when death would come to hunt you" Diyao chimed as she comes from behind as she hugged Potenciano's body.

"I will, Miss Diyao" Potenciano hurriedly answered to the hermaphrodite as he hurriedly separated from her as this earn him a pout from the goddess.

"Now, Potenciano. Is everything ready?" asked José Rizal.

"Yes"

"You don't have any trouble with the power given by goddess Diyao?"

"No, Alfred said everything is all good to go" Potenciano answered

"Well then this goodbye" José Rizal says as Alfred activates the power as a wormhole appears above Potenciano's head as it sucks him into it as Potenciano saw everyone waving to him farewell.

"Thank you for everything guys" He said aloud as his body disappeared into the wormhole.
