1 A Phoenix Rises More Than Once

"F*ck you!"

"Oh yeah? F*ck you too!"

Two men were currently in an argument. One that would be the imminent cause of their deaths.

What were they arguing about?

A rollercoaster seat.

"Buddy, I got here first. Get the f*ck out."

"Nah man, everyone knows that I jumped in first."

"Haha... you think you're funny? Get. The. F*ck. Out!"

"No... YOU!"

It was unknown why they did not agree to share.

"Sirs, please get off the seat. You're disturbing and delaying everyone here."

An employee tried his best attempt at breaking up the fight, unsuccessfully of course.

The employee was ignored, as if he was air.

"Son of a bitch!"

"Damn whore!"

The argument was getting heated. Not in a good way either. It was pretty clear that the two men were going to throw hand soon enough.

The operator was currently... operating the rollercoaster.

"Man, this is the what, 8th fight today? I'm not paid enough for this sh*t."

"Me neither."

The operator chatted with his fellow employee as he tiredly watched the argument, which was about to turn into a fight.

"Haaa... what if I just press this button...", the operator mumbled as he looked toward the big, red start button.

"You'd kill those two."

"Just those two?"

"Yep. Just those two."

"Alright. Let this be a warning, and a sacrifice from me."

"Hold up, what?"

The employee that was chatting with the operator quickly realized that something was wrong from the way the operator was speaking.

He turned around to face the operator, who had his hand raised right above of the start button.

"It was nice working with you."

Horror struck the man, realizing what the operator was trying to do.

"TAKE THIS!"

The operator slammed his hand down in slow motion as the employee rushed toward him.

"Haha, just joking."

The operator stopped his hand just before it hit the start button.

Not a good hand placement at all.

The employee was already charging at the operator, and he couldn't stop due to the momentum that he had gathered.

The operator looked to his side in surprise, facing the charging employee head on.

The two made contact, and the operator... hit the start button.

The rollercoaster immediately made noises as it started, gathering speed as it slowly charged upwards.

The two arguing men were too focused on their argument to realize, and when they did, it was too late for either of them.

The two hastily tried to put on their seatbelts, momentarily ignoring their argument, setting it to the side.

But then, it was too late. The roller coaster was already a perfect 90 degrees up.

The two fell off the rollercoaster, splatting onto the ground, and bringing their lives to an end.

Oh well, at least they didn't make that much of a mess for the janitor.

...

"Hieuk!"

A boy gasped as he sat up, being covered in sweat.

"W-w-was that just a dream?", the boy wondered to no one in particular.

"No. That was too vivid to be just a dream.", the boy muttered to himself again, before looking at the mirror, conveniently on the wall.

His throat was dry as he took in his appearance.

A young teenager with red hair and eye.

"No... where is my sexy black hair? Where are those deep brown eyes..."

'F*ck! I got isekai'd!'

The redhead came to that conclusion. The same conclusion that caused him to be numbed with shock for the next few minutes.

'Wait... isn't that a good thing?'

After the initial shock wore off, he considered his circumstances.

Getting isekai'd wasn't a bad thing, at least for him. He wouldn't have to pay off his student loan. And his credit card debt!

"Not a bad thing at all...", he mumbled once more.

"So... what's my name? Where am I?"

Just as he said those words out loud, a sharp pain struck his head.

He was very familiar with this! It was a headache!

"Kingdom of Falmuth... Derrick... slave... talent in magic..."

Information that the body's previous occupant had came rushing at 'Derrick' like a tide, it swept him off his feet.

'Derrick' needed a few minutes to adjust to the new information provided.

He then took a deep breath, before summarizing the information in his head.

'The body's previous owner was named Derrick, and he was a slave in the Kingdom of Falmuth. He had shown some talent in recovery and fire magic, and he experimented on himself, trying to combine both, and that ultimately led to his death.'

What the f*ck?

'Derrick' then came to the realization that he was occupying a body that previously died from an overdose of magic experiments.

He then fearfully looked over his body once again, trying to find any deformities that might've been the results of failed experiments.

'Thankfully there's no obvious traits...'

Although 'Derrick' was still fearful, the lack of physical deformities reassured him somewhat. Perhaps he'd live longer this time?

[Unique Skill: Phoenix]

What?

That was Derrick's instinctive reaction to a voice popping up in his head.

[Unique Skill: Phoenix]

The same voice made itself home to his mind once again.

'Unique Skill? I swear I've heard that before...'

'Derrick' rolled the word around on his tongue, trying to remember its origin.

Which was a failed attempt, as he was too excited to focus on anything else.

'Phoenix? That sounds pretty cool...'

Then, information about the skill revealed itself in his head.

[Phoenix: Allows the user to be reborn on death]

This is it. The cheat that came along with his isekai.
