Chapter Seventh (Daniel and his Friend Return)

Sunlight sneaked through the tree leaves, piercing the window of Isla's room, waking her up and infusing new life into her. She felt energetic and lively, ready to embrace a day with unknown secrets. She went downstairs because the kitchen was located near her father's research room, where she found him engrossed in his work with the guests.

She greeted them, then headed to her kitchen to prepare breakfast. The scent of coffee filled the kitchen, appetizing and inviting. She quickly set up the table for them, and they enjoyed their breakfast, thanking her for her care and attention.

Afterward, Daniel went outside to check the weather and found that it had cleared up after the storm. He decided then to return to his home. He bid farewell to his friend James and reached out his hand to Isla, gripping it tightly as if telling her that he didn't want to leave without her. She pulled her hand away and told him at that moment that she hoped to meet him again. However, she didn't pay much attention to his words, even though she wished he could stay longer with them. But she didn't want to reveal her feelings. She wished she had heard it from him first to know if he felt the same way she did. She had heard her father talk about his love for her mother and their shared feelings. She had also read about love in books, about lovers who experienced the same emotions at the same time and place.

Daniel and his companion left the house towards the place where they had left the plane. It didn't take long before it soared into the sky, far away from the isolated island.

As for Isla, she ran along with Rocky, searching for her friend Iris. Her longing for her had surely increased, especially since she had spent very little time with her the previous night. She called out for her until Iris quickly appeared, and Isla was overjoyed. They played as usual among the waves on the beach until exhaustion took hold of them. Isla let Iris rest while she returned home, her mind filled with worry about the next day, afraid that the passing days might separate them, causing her to overlook her friend Iris.

As soon as she entered the house, she found her father lying on the couch in the living room, looking exhausted. She approached him and placed a kiss on his forehead, asking about his well-being. She wasn't used to seeing him lying down without doing anything. He told her that he felt dizzy while in his research lab. She almost fainted upon hearing this, as her father was the only one left for her in this deserted world. She hugged him tightly, a tear rolling down her cheek, wishing he could stay attached to her forever, never taken away by anyone.

Poor Isla was afraid of losing him and being left alone. She didn't know anyone in this world and had no idea where to go.
