5 Chapter 5, Asgardian Super Soldier

I sat amidst the debris, Superman still knocked out cold, and Flash struggling against my unwavering grip.

It had only been about two minutes, but I could feel the emergence of many gifted presences.

To be honest, the amount I could feel made me sweat.

Though, it was in fright and excitement both...

I could feel roughly ten, incredibly powerful, and incredibly special individuals. One of which was the very familiar Banner.

Some were grouped together atop Avenger's Tower, and others were snaking about Midtown

Manhattan, likely trying to find ideal areas to ambush me from.

But that would not matter of course, I was confident in my abilities and I sure there was only one way to take me down.

Oh. It seemed they were aware too.

I felt a small disturbance, a pang of discomfort and pain growing within my head.

"Show yourself Martian." I muttered, gritting my teeth and fighting the mental intrusion.

"What are you?" A voice soundee, making me look up through the pain.

My eyes landed on a floating man, green skinned like myself.

"Why ask? Even if I gave you an answer, it would not benefit you." I replied.

I raised my hand towards the Martian, a smile on my face emerging as I fought.

The drain on my mental fortitude distracted me from analyzing the creature before me, but it did not stop me completely.

The structure of the Martian was incredible.

I could see the weakness to fire coded within his blood, and the incredible telepathic potential they had.

It would soon be mine.

Well, perhaps I would have to face some major difficulties first.

Out of nowhere, the discomfort in my mind peaked, spiking up drastically to the point where I almost lost my control over Barry next to me.

I could hear voices enter my mind, and nearly feel the fingers prying at my brain.

"Thank you for the assistance, Scarlet Witch, Professor." I heard the Martian speak, making me reopen my eyes which had instinctively closed in pain. On the ground far before me were two new opponents entering the battlefield.

Both who were all too familiar.

The Scarlet Witch and Professor X himself, some of the most powerful psionic ability users…

"Alright Barry today is your lucky day." I said, pushing through the pain and mental turbelence, releasing my telekinetic grip on the man next to me.

I cracked my knuckles, staring ahead as I watched Wanda crack a smile.

Of course I knew why, I was privy to the Speed Force and Kyrptonian super senses.

My perception of time was multiplied manifold, and I could see the man as he approached.

The Speed Force was something special! With it, I could freely manipulate certain laws of physics, like inertia, movement, all of the shabang.

It was almost like a multiplier that I could infinitely pull from as long as I had the will.

I couldn't wait to see what it felt like when my base speed was multiplied by 300 times.

At least, thats how much faster Quicksilver is than the peak human.

Well I would find out soon enough.

I watched as a young adult with silver hair appeared before me, reeling his arm back preparing for a strike.

Perhaps they didn't see me steal the Flash's speed?

Well, I did not care.

It was simply more speed for me!

My arm reached out, grabbing the kid in mid air, holding him by the neck.

"Thank you." I said.

The interaction was less than even a second, as my processing power had reaches the point where analyzation was almost instantaneous to any other.

Deciding not to be completely cruel, I did not revoke Quicksilver of his mutant gene.

Flash however was less fortunate, as he was more of a proxy of the Speed Force than a metahuman from what I had noticed. Though he did still have metahuman abilities, which was more advanced speed and an incredible healing factor.

Without the speed force he would bottle neck a little below Quicksilver's peak…

"Pietro!" I heard Wanda yell, a look of anger appearing on her face as she raised her hands towards me, red aura emanating from her.

Unbeknownst to her, I had just grown a lot more resistant to mental manipulation.

Thanks the Quicksilver's mutation, he was perpetually stuck in a slowed time, which thankfully for me, allowed me to think nearly infinitely more thoughts than the normal entity in one second.

So, the mental strain was heavily lessened, but of course still taxing.

After all, three monsters of the psionic nature were trying to dig into my head.

Though I was thankful for the meal I was going to receive!

Momentarily that was…

They ramped up the power a whole lot more once they saw Pietro fall unconscious.

Strangely, it seemed that intense psionic disturbance could interrupt my senses.

The way I perceived the world me was changing drastically as I fought off their attacks.

I was positive that as a Kryptonian I had natural defenses to this sort of thing, albeit not the greatest.

I stepped forward towards the three, my knee buckling, but my other leg falling in the correct place in the correct moment.

I attempted to push off, but as I did so, I caught a face full of fist…

Good on their part!

They had distracted me enough, and somehow managed to get Bruce riled up.

The large tree trunk of an arm had swung into my face, and although it didn't move my base whatsoever, it had stopped me from advancing.

"Alright Banner. You want a round two?" I smiled, the pain in my brain clouding me.

But I was dealing with it.

I removed the Hulk's fist from my face and grabbed both of his arms, gazing into the pure and enraged expression before me.

*BOOM*

I slammed my head into his, sending the big green guy flying, straight through the Martian Manhunter who simply became intangible.

"Huh…" I scoffed.

I couldn't help but notice an ability I was in need of.

In that same moment, in which I was unfortunately losing my focus, I was able to sense an entity falling from above.

I blindly threw a fist straight above me, still combating the mental forces from in front.

The result was a shockwave that leveled the nearby buildings within a mile radius.

Looking above, I realized my fist had met a hammer, and surprisingly…

The hammer was still in tact.

"So… you're buffed in this universe it seems… Even stronger than Superman." I muttered, looking at the Asgardian God above me with a smile.

Unfortunately he made the mistake of gettiny close.

My hand reached out, grabbing Mjolnir and pulling Thor to me.

It was clear he didn't expect to be manhandled the way he was.

However he did react quick!

A bolt of lightning exploded from both Mjolnir and the sky above, the two striking me at the same time but hardly slowing my movements.

My hand encompassed the entirety of Thor's face, which was unsurprising considering I was close to double his height.

Really, that was all I needed.

His genetic make up was similar to a Kryptonian's but leagues better in certain areas.

Considering he was the son of Odin only bolstered this.

He was basically an Asgardian Super Soldier.

And now so was I…

I felt it once more, proliferating my body.

My mental fortitude grew to an unbelievable degree, the interference from the three before me not affecting me even one bit any longer.

I became nearly a perfect creature.

I could feel the tingling in my body, the connection I had with both the earth and the skies.

I would now be able to control weather and even seismic activity!

I was sure I was nigh-indestructible, and definitely wielded perfect longevity.

My strength… Even I did not know the ceiling!

I was an amalgamation of powerful abilities, and I could only smile.

I tossed Thor to the ground, the Asgardian feeling utter confusion.

Why did he feel the blood of Odin in me? He would understand eventually…

I turned to the three who were still attempted to breakdown my mental defenses.

Though now they sere starting to see it was useless.

After all, Thor was capable of shrugging off a mental attack that would render an entire planet obsolete.

These three wouldn't be able to easily replicate something of that magnitude…

But they had back up it seems.

I watched as many figures arrived behind them.

Shazam, Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Aquaman, Supergirl even.

It was a line up to remember!

When you add those names to the already present Thor, Scarlet Witch, Professor X, and Martian Manhunter…

Even Superman who had at some point escaped to the atmosphere.

Of course I had noticed, but I couldn't do much to stop it at the time…

If I were any normal opponent, I would surely get clobbered!

But that was not the case.

I lifted my arms into the sky, as if I was embracing the challenge.

"All these superhumans for little old me!" I laughed, dropping one of my arms and slowly aiming the other towards the group in front of me.

"Stoppo!!" I heard a yell, a man appearing directly in between me and the group of heroe.

Or perhaps… another group appearing in between me and the group of heroes.

Actually.. to be even more precise, it was another group of heroes appearing between me and the heroes!

"We are here on a mission to save the world! You two cannot fight!" The slightly chubby asian man yelled.

His arms extending towards both sides as if he was holding us back.

"Are you sure this was a good idea, Hiro-kun?" One of the men said.

I tilted my head, obviously recognizing those ahead of me.

Peter and Nathan Petrelli, Hiro Nakamura, Ando, and even Claire Bennet.

A strange group that I definitely did not expect to see.

But, I almost drooled at the sight of one of them.

Who would pass up on the ability to manipulate space and time?
