3 Chapter 3, I am...

"Here's your avenger back Stark." A red caped, blue suit wearing man tossed a scrawny shirtless homeless man onto the floor beneath him.

Strangely enough, the caped man was floating, and before him was a douche-bag looking rich man, standing with arms folded.

"Yeah yeah Supes, thanks for the return. Mind telling me the details this time?" The man removed his shades, staring at the flying superhuman.

Any person who didn't live under a rock would be well aware of who these two were.

How could they not?

It was a confrontation between Superman and Tony Stark! Two of the biggest faces in the hero industry!

"Your Hulk rampaged underneath Gotham, wiping out the gangs in the Gotham sewer system and nearly killing the infamous Killer Croc." Superman explained, a look of disappointment on his face.

"We all made agreements with the government Stark. The Justice League and The Avengers are able to exist underneath the oath that we do not abuse our powers! Taking lives is something not even we are allowed to do! We are supposed to be protectors!" Superman scoffed.

"Don't get me started mister lord and savior... Tell me which city is riddled with the most deaths per year?" Stark fired back, waving his hands as a few androids flew in and grappled with the unconscious doctor.

"That is not my point Stark. Banner does more damage than the entire Justice League combined!" Superman replied.

"Yeah yeah, but you alone match that damage with all the indirect bullshit. You could end fights in an instant but you want to tussle with your enemies and topple buildings in the process. At least Banner uses the destruction to his advantage and swings the buildings at people." Stark rebutted, turning away, prepared to leave.

"Despite all that, we might have another problem on our hands." Superman said, making Stark look over his shoulder.

"What could be more problematic than the Hulk rampaging around the United States, oh do tell Supes." Stark scoffed.

"Two of them."

Stark turned, his gaze sharpening.

"What."

...

I scratched my nose, feeling a strange itch on it. I currently sat in a coffee shop, unsurprisingly, a coffee in one hand.

As for how I got it? It wasn't too hard to acquire a few wallets with the new ability I had.

It was just a telekinetic nudge to the pockets that had wallets ready to drop at any moment, and I was rolling in nearly $800 dollars cash.

Unsuspecting teens really did carry too much money on them...

But that was a good thing for me, as now I could afford the basics of life, which I actually didn't need.

After all, if I were to starve to death, I would simply involuntarily transform and heal to tip-top shape!

But that would never be a good thing to fall back on...

As of right now, I sat in a populated internet cafe, contemplating my life.

From what I garnered, this world was possibly one of my worst nightmares.

I analyzed newspapers, online articles, and even just scoured the internet itself. This world was the incarnation of danger.

There were the known world superpowers like the Justice League, The Avengers, Shield even.

Superman, Thor, Hulk, Spiderman, Wolverine, Green Lantern, Wonder woman, you name them!

Half a decade ago the world was invaded by both Steppenwolf and the Chitauri at the same time!

This Earth was a hub for the supernatural as even a slightly deeper than surface dive netted me some other information that left me devastated.

Nearly a hundreds years ago in the mid 1900's, a gigantic lizard emerged from the sea and leveled countless Japanese cities until they eventually bombed it while it slept in the ocean!

This assured me of my greatest fear for this world.

I was in some sort of AU.

A world mashed together, clearly not sticking to any sort of comic.

Monarch, the Justice League, and Shield coexisting in one universe? Who knew what else I had in store...

I sighed, taking a sip of my coffee once more. Sitting there, I played with a coin that was on the table, tempering my control over it.

I was training my weak telekinetic powers. It wasn't very fulfilling, as I could tell that this genetic sequence netted a specific cap on psychic powers.

It was not true telekinesis, but more an extension of my physical prowess. I would never be able to lift something heavier than what my body could truly handle. Nor would I ever be able to do something that I could not do with my own hands.

So, in my base form, the most I could do was maybe open a door from twenty feet away, or throw a full fledged punch and have it hit something a meter out of my reach.

It was strange, but the power was growing, though I could quickly feel I would reach my cap.

I was eager to test what I would be able to do when I was... Hulked out... Or whatever I would call it. I'd figure out a name soon enough.

But then again, that wasn't the most of my concerns.

My gaze trailed, landing on the building towering over all of Manhattan. A big "A", on the side of it.

But, that also wasn't my focus.

It was the presence I could feel.

I could sense what any could only deem as genetic perfection.

Like before, it was something I both wanted, and needed. It was a hunger even stronger than when Banner stumbled into my arms.

Considering I could sense it from this far... It was only a testament to whoever I was sensing.

My best bet was that it was Thor, the Asgardian god. I mean who else would be in the Avenger's Tower?

"Maybe this is where I become a textbook villain... I mean I don't have much to fear. The Avenger's wouldn't dare murder me in broad daylight when you take into account the heavily mandated Supers Restriction Act."

Superheroes were not allowed to do what they so wished with life, even if they could be considered gods among men.

"Yeah... Maybe I assimilate Peter Parker's physique, or even copy Tony Stark's intelligence.... Might be able to steal some of his technology too... After all I can't do much without resources, even if I have intelligence." I finished the coffee in my hand, standing up and fixing my collar once more.

The coin I was toying with flew into my pocket, and I head for the door.

On the way I couldn't help but grab a stray jacket, exiting the humble abode and gazing up at the sky.

"Let's make this my debut." I whispered, my eyes flashing green, as I could hear the clothes I wore start to rip.

I could always buy some more later after all!

*BOOM*

Before many could even noticed, I had transformed into a nine foot, hulking beast.

Green skin, but contrary to the average hulk, I was much lankier. My muscle was more evenly distributed, and I looked more human than beast.

Though, my hair was dark, long, and unkempt, able to cover my face.

I soared through the air, having leapt up into the sky, and arriving at the opening for the Avenger's tower in just a few seconds.

And low and behold, one of my worst nightmares was present!

Well...

You could also say he was my biggest dream...

Time seemed to slow as I honed in on the flying caped man. His eyes had turned and met mine, my brain going into overdrive.

I analyzed, with every inch of my mind, time nearly coming to a standstill.

I did not think I would be blessed with a feast so early on in my new life...

I could only imagine the potential of combining Kryptonian DNA with the Hulk's genetic mutation.

I slowly inched closer to the alien, his gaze flattening, and his fist closing behind him.

But, perhaps I was just too incredible!

Despite only having been given just a few seconds in real time, I had almost cracked the one and only Superman's genetic code!

Something that even Lex Luthor couldn't do, as one of the most intelligent forces in the DC universe.

It was just my god-given talent it seemed.

Perhaps all I needed was just one touch, and it would all come to me...

"This is the one I was talking about Stark." I heard Clark say, my body finally touching down on the outlook of the Avenger's tower.

I let my momentum carry me into a roll, my fist clenching as I prepared to do all I could to even TOUCH, the man before me.

The next thing I knew was pain, but ecstasy at the same moment.

A fist straight to my jaw, completely revoking my momentum and sending me flying far from the Avenger's Tower.

But that was all I needed.

Perhaps I was meant to be a god, because I could feel the power sprouting in my body.

I felt the sun rays hit me, and I felt my genes almost... exfoliate. I absorbed the suns energy at a rapid pace, far faster than I should have, even as the normal Kryptonian.

It may have been the gamma mutation amplifying the strength of the Kryptonian genes, but I was not complaining.

I could barely hold my eyes together as I felt pain proliferate my body.

My skin paled, becoming a sickly green, but my hair only grew slightly longer, my muscles grew denser, and I could feel just for a single moment.

My weight had nearly quintupled.

As the hulk I was well over one thousand pounds, nearly two thousand. But for a brief moment while I glided through the air, I could feel my weight shift, and the earth seemed to want me to return to it.

My arc drastically changed, being pulled down to the world for but a moment, until I felt a magnetic force establish itself around me.

At that same moment, I smiled, exhaling with all my might, and opening my eyes as wide as I could.

Unfortunately for the buildings around me, green laser beams spewed from my face, swiping clean through, and an icy chemical compound froze the side of a building right next to me.

Before I could touch down on the earth, I shifted my balance, controlling my weight and movement.

Just a few feet above the ground, I had stopped my movements.

Standing still in space, a smile on my face, and my eyes shining green.

I glanced around, my perception and processing speed having mutated, over a millionfold.

I was...

I am...

"I'm a God."
