10 Chapter 10, A Sight To Behold

"I felt a spike in energies within Antarctica, we believe it may be the entity Eramus." A green skinned alien spoke, Cyborg standing by his side, nodding towards Batman in confirmation.

"I suggest we send Martian Manhunter to converse with him. As we can assume that Eramus may not be of this world considering his proposed lack of human morality. Adding onto the fact that he is revered as a god by the time travelers, he may have origins beyond the scope of our knowledge."

Cyborg spoke, his arms crossed.

The three stood within the Justice League's med-bay, near Superman's recovery capsule.

"… Possibly, but we cannot rule out the fact he is of human descent. Using the lantern ring, we cannot find a single species that matches that of Eramus' among the cosmos. Instant and seemingly permanent genetic replication from a single touch seems to be unique to him." Batman fired back, his hands hidden behind him.

"Which is why I personally believe that he is an extra dimensional creature. Perhaps the manifestation of an omnipotent existence, and the way he increases his power is by manipulating reality and perfectly replicating anything he desired with just a touch." J'onn spoke.

"I am not completely confident in the rest of Leagues ability to communicate with such an unpredictable existence. I am not even confident in my own abilities, but I feel like I may have the highest chance of smooth interaction." J'onn finished, Batman nodding in response.

"Keep in contact with us, provide real time footage, and retreat the moment things seem to be going south, we will back you up as quick as possible." The bat spoke, J'onn tilting his head.

"As much as I expected of you… Who says things will go south?" J'onn, shook his head, preparing to depart.

"It is only a precaution." Martian Manhunter continued to walk, slightly disappointed in Batman.

He did not side with Batman's over cautionary nature.

With his jaw agape, J'onn J'onzz levitated above the skies of Antarctica, the fierce winds not moving his figure even an inch.

Though, he made sure to intently examine the scene before him.

*BOOM*

The ground cracked Godzilla tumbling into a fissure in the snow.

His opposition, who happened to give off the same mental signature as Eramus, stood low, as if prepared to grapple with another.

"RAHAHA, YOU'LL NEED MORE STRENGTH THAN THAT!" Eramus shouted, the dorsal fins on his back charging up with a bluish green hue as he finished his words.

A deep and ear vibrating roar started to build up as the cerulean light travelled from the base of his tail to the back of his neck.

The same sound was replicated from the fissure below Eramus, a brighter blue light emanating from the crack.

In an instant, two beams of light shot from the opposing sides, burning through the air, and heavily impacting Martian Manhunter, making him hold his ears in pain.

The thick rays collided mid air, literally frying all of the oxygen at their midpoint.

Godzilla rose from the fissure, pushing Eramus back as Godzilla moved forward.

As they battled with thick pillars of atomic radiation, Eramus' eyes began to glow green.

Instantaneously, two much slimmer rays of gamma exploded forward, melding with the atomic breath and pushing Godzilla back a few steps.

In response, the titan attempted to ramp up the pressure, forcing his all into it.

Though unfortunately that wasn't enough.

Godzilla was overpowered, releasing his atomic breath and ducking to the side, unfortunately being struck in the shoulder, scorching his thick hide.

"Ghidorah's gravity beams may be even more powerful. Don't forget he has 3 heads to defend from."

Eramus spoke, stepping forward.

Strangely, a smile could be seen on his face as he approached Godzilla, the latter resolutely standing his ground.

With Eramus' face nearly touching Godzilla's, his massive maw was opened, a deep and grating sound emerging.

A roar that could be heard all around the world was voiced, the sound reverberating through Martian Manhunter's molecules, shaking off his shapeshifting and reverting him to his natural Martian form.

The roar was so loud, that the soundwaves produced could be felt on all 7 continents, some weaker than others, but still present.

Yet, through the whole ordeal, Godzilla stood unperturbed, taking the brunt of the roar head on.

It lasted a long 15 seconds, in which after, even Godzilla nodded his head.

He could recognize the strength of the one before him, and he respected it.

The two creatures adopted large smiles, only breadths away from each other.

"Take this gift from me. I have been working on my control, and I think I have perfected it." Eramus said, putting a claw on Godzilla's stomach, and another on the top of his head.

In that same moment, green light shown from Eramus' palms, a wave of electromagnetism sprouted from Godzilla, before shrinking down and hovering just above his skin.

"Make sure to get a lot of sun. I have amplified your ability to absorb solar radiation. You may even produce more abilities, like enhanced speed and dexterity, alongside invulnerability, greater intelligence, and a stronger atomic breath." Eramus growled with a smile, releasing Godzilla and turning to step away.

"Call me whenever you deem it necessary." With those words, the huge titanic form of Eramus disappeared, vanishing from reality.

Godzilla stood still for a few moments, his brow furrowing and nose twitching for a few moments. Though that was all.

Only for a few moments!

Godzilla turned, stomping towards the sea and diving into it, his dorsal spikes glowing as he sunk deep below the sea.

Martian Manhunter was the only one left remaining, the shocked gaze on his face never leaving.

"What have I just witnessed."

...

...

...

It was night and not many were present within the JL Watchtower.

However, there was one that was still silently walking around. She entered the med-bay, a saddened and frankly exhausted look on her face.

Her eyes were heavy and dark, her short black hair relatively untidy. She was a beauty, with a slim body, and features that weren't too overwhelming. Her nose was small, and her lips weren't too big. Her skin seemed to be soft to the touch, and just her overall figure was quite enticing.

Her silver eyes hadn't left her target since she entered the room. She approached the capsule, her hand softly gliding over it as she wiped her nose.

"If only If I could fly faster... If only I paid more attention to the comms." She mumbled.

"I could have been there to help you. To stop you from picking a fight you weren't fit for." She held the bridge of her nose, guilt taking over her.

"I'm supposed to protect you!" She sniffled, her eyes glowing with a blue light.

"UGH!" She yelled, anger taking over her. She swiftly turned to the side, her eyes blasting two blue rays of heat. For about four seconds, her eyes singed whatever it was she had aimed at, making her fall to her knees in the process.

"Ouch." A voice reverberated, her super enhanced ears picking up on the small commotion and instantly looking up.

"YOU!" She yelled, tears in her eyes. In an instant, she moved, leaping up and flying straight at the tall and slightly mesmerizing man that was leant against the wall.

She threw a punch at his face, only for it to be dodged, striking the wall and forming spider-web cracks.

Seeing she missed, she launched another one, her fist being caught right above his stomach.

She growled, lifting a knee and sending it flying up towards the same area.

Though, strangely she seemed to hit a forcefield of sorts...

"There's no need to be mad at me Kara." The man said with a slight chuckle, as if her efforts were completely unnecessary.

"YOU NEARLY KILLED KAL-EL." She screamed, her eyes lighting up once more, the two beams of pure heat and radiation firing into the mans face.

He took the attack head on, literally, and did nothing about it.

"You say that, but do not know the truth Kara." He replied, still eating the heat rays.

"Kal-El is perfectly fine, if not better than ever." Hearing this, Kara's heat vision lessened drastically, tears somehow still flowing, somehow not being evaporated by the heat.

"THEN WHY HASN'T HE WAKEN UP. HE'S BEEN COMATOSE FOR ALMOST NINE DAYS." She questioned.

"Because you're feeding him energy from the sun..." The man said, as if it was obvious.

"It's like you are all giving him the best meal of his life, and you expect him to just get up and walk away before he has finished it..." He laughed, "He will not wake up until he has consumed enough solar energy to deplete the sun itself. Or you can always just pull him out of the capsule and he'll get up whenever." Kara's heat vision stopped, and she forcefully broke away from her captor.

She reluctantly flew to Kal-El's chamber, wiping the tears from her face.

She landed next to him, tapping multiple buttons on the panel. Though, before she could finish navigating the system, a cold hand touched hers.

"I wouldn't advise waking him so soon." She looked up at the man next to her, staring directly at his face, seeing his disapproval.

"And why would I listen to you, Eramus?"
