2 Chapter 2 - Omni-dimensional Restaurant

Katsuro POV

I can't believe it! Before my eyes was Hayato Furinji! The invincible superhuman! He came from the series called History's greatest disciple and one of the sole reasons why I loved martial arts!

He was looking at me observing my movement and base from his eyes and could already guess that I was a martial artist.

"Alright Tohru watch closely at how I take orders from customers " I said walking towards Hayato while Tohru followed close by

"Welcome to Dragon nest sir! What would you like to eat, Sir?" I remained professional and made an example to Tohru as she was closely watching me.

Though, she most likely even listened and was more fixated on me than anything else.

"Oh, lay off with the formalities. My name is Furinji Hayato. Just call me Hayato, Mr. Neighbor." I know but it still surprises me to hear his name.

"My name is Katsuro Kaiser or just Katsuro." I answered.

"Then Katsuro-kun, bring me a large serving of Soba Noodles and a Sukiyaki. When did you open this restaurant? I don't remember one in Osaka the last time I visited."

The last time I checked was that my restaurant is in Kyoto and not somewhere in Osaka. Is my restaurant connected to another place in the world or is it in another world?

I have nothing to confirm unless another customer joins us. Regardless, I'll put that aside and focus on my job.

"Well, it's been running for quite some time now. I inherited it from my parents who are currently retired and living their best life now." I answered and he nodded with approval.

"Hahahaha that is great to hear! I'm looking forward to the food you're going to make." Hayato said.

"Then please take a seat while I prepare the dish."

I said walking to the kitchen counter where I began working on the dish. I didn't use my clones since there were hardly any costumes anyways.

"Now, Tohru, try to be friendly when taking orders from customers and once that is done bring me the note so I can make it. Also, you need to bring their food to their table and make sure not to drop them, understand?"

I said while gracefully moving my hands showing a god level skill in cooking.

The ingredients are provided by the restaurant and often restocked on it through my system. Obviously my parents didn't have this. If not then we would have been rich.

"I understand, it's quite easy and it reminds me of what a human tavern is like." Tohru said and that makes it a lot easier.

"You had been to the tavern before?" I was a bit surprised since I thought she didn't tolerate humans.

"I do, though I dislike humans, it doesn't mean I can't tolerate them."

Tohru answered, making me wonder why Hayato hasn't done anything since I doubt he hasn't sensed her power. Still, The elder is pacifist and I doubt he'll cause a commotion simply because of Tohru.

"Then being a maid waitress is basically a tavern girl."

I said while she nodded helping with preparation and fortunately I can remove her strength placing it on a human level while at the restaurant allowing her to help without breaking anything.

"You have quite the body for your age. Tell me, have you trained in martial arts before, Katsuro-kun?" Hayato struck up a conversation while we prepared his food.

"I did, learn quite a number of them. To be honest, I am able to copy martial arts after seeing them once or twice."

Yes, that's right, in my previous life I can replicate their movement with only the part that was lacking was my body.

"Really!? Then you must be a genius if that was the case."

Hayato seemed genuinely surprised and I felt flattered hearing his words.

"As expected of my darling. I knew you were unlike other people." Tohru said with her eyes having stars in them.

"I am flattered but it's just a hobby and it's not like I can find any use of it anyway." I said while the door rang and what appeared to be a helpless old man.

He had a ponytail, a thick beard, and stretched earlobes with two piercings in both ears. He was wearing a traditional men's kimono and a pair of geta with one ha (tooth).

"Hohoho~ I didn't know there was such a place in swardini city."

My eyes flew open realizing who he was. This man was Isaac Netero! This only confirmed my suspicion that my restaurant was connected to another!!

Is that the reason why my restaurant hasn't had any customers!? People in my world can't find it? Most likely just warding off normal folks.

Fortunately, I finished Hayato's meal and brought the food with Tohru's help.

He seemed to have spotted Hayato and base from his eyes could sense the vast amount of Nen or in this case Ki.

"How strange, I haven't heard of someone like you arriving in Swardini City?" Netero said, walking over to Hayato who was confused.

"Swardini City? I don't know what you're talking about. This place is from Osaka." Hayato's responses while Netero also became confused.

"Excuse me, allow me to explain." I chimed, garnering the attention of two old men who have more vitality than an average person.

Seriously, these old men are horrifying!

"Truth to be told this place is…"

I began to explain the two men while I placed the meal of Hayato who became intrigued hearing what I said.

"Hohoho~ another world you say? How interesting. It is like venturing into the dark continent." Netero said.

"Hahahaha but isn't this a great opportunity? To meet and see the people of other worlds and get to know them." Hayato laughed out loud.

"Indeed, to meet someone like you does brighten my day."

Netero said as the two old men decided to share a meal while chatting about their own world along with their philosophy.

I decided to let them even though I am curious if I could learn Nen or bring out my inner strength with Ki.

Would it even be possible? Well it wouldn't hurt to try at least.

It was then a person came and we were taken aback by his appearance as he was wearing what seemed to be protective gear with respiratory.

He removed the gear and revealed an average young man with unkempt hair like a typical copy and paste anime protagonist but his eyes seem dead.

"Welcome! Take a seat. Tohru, can you assist our customer?" I said while she smiled.

"On it!" Tohru walked over and took the customer's order. Soon enough, I got his order and began making the dish which was simply chicken curry.

"...This is really good." He quietly said as I walked over.

"Say, what's your name?" I wondered who he was since he looked like typical Japanese but my intuition told me that he was someone important.

"Ah, Suzuki Satoru." Wait his name….isn't that what momonga's or Ainz's human name is!?

"Katsuro Kaiser, it may sound like a surprise but this restaurant is special…" I began to explain what the restaurant was surprising him with.

"C-Connected to another world?" He repeated in disbelief.

"That's right, my world, we have hunters and an ability known as nen." Netero said who sat nearby with Hayato.

"For me we're just normal martial artists!" He remarked while Netero chuckled.

"Normal? You're almost as strong as I am."

Netero said sensing that they weren't far from each other with him slightly stronger due to having some other abilities.

"That's…I don't want to say, I am just an average guy from Japan." He said while I got curious.

"You sure? Me and Hayato-san are from Japan but we don't wear that protective gear….wait what year do you think it is? " I said while he tilted his head..

"2137?" Hayato and I were clearly surprised to hear this.

"So you're in the future? My world is currently 2024 here." I said while Hayato was surprised.

"Oh, you're also ahead of us then? It's only 2001 in my place." Hayato said this only made the restaurant more lively.

Suzuki was shocked and I showed him outside when I tried opening the door. He cried seeing the sky and fresh air.

Hayato comforted him seeing his distress and eventually calmed down and paid for the meal with the bill that came from the future and the same goes for Netero who paid with his world currency.

Fortunately, my system converted it into whatever currency I desire but it will always be equal to how much the money is.

Onec the day was over with only Suzuki, Netero, Hayato being my customer that day. Slow but better than nothing.

Tohru was able to adapt and did a decent job cleaning and serving.

"Alright, you did a great job on the first day. Let's go ahead and celebrate your first day." I said and she became excited, latching herself into my arm once again.

"Oh, I'm so excited!"

She said as we closed the shop and headed to the mall where the vibrant neon lights of the shopping mall flickered.

Tohru had her wide eyes and curious gaze, marveled at the array of stores and the bustling atmosphere around her.

I noticed Tohru's fascination and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Welcome to the modern world, Tohru. This is a shopping mall, a place where people come to buy things, eat, and have a good time."

Tohru nodded, her maid outfit contrasting with the trendy outfits of the people around them.

"It's so lively! I've never seen anything like it in my world. But it reminds me of castle crusaders though." Tohru seems reluctant and can understand why.

"I see, well I promise no one is going to hurt you. And this place isn't like your world..."

I said I want to buy her some clothes since her scale does wonders but she could at least have some gift from me. Her eyes seem to light up and embrace me tightly.

"I know because I know my darling would protect me!"

But you're stronger than me, Tohru. Though, I ain't planning on relying on her when it comes to fighting since I am skilled and according to Hayato I'm around Master class martial artist.

That's reassuring.

Once I convinced her at least and my intuition tells me that she'll only do this because I'm with her.

Our first stop was a clothing store where I insisted on picking out an outfit for Tohru. She tried to understand the concept of fashion, but her world had different customs.

She seems happy at the idea even though it may sound weird since she already has her scale.

After a few comical attempts, Tohru emerged from the fitting room wearing a modern ensemble, a mix of tradition and trend.

I can't help but be mesmerized by her even though it's only been a day knowing her my heart race.

"You look amazing, Tohru." I said with a bright smile and she seemed happy hearing his compliment.

"Hehehe~ thank you, Darling! Let me try the other ones." Tohru resumes changing into another pair of clothes until we pick two pairs of clothes.

Hey, I'm broke, don't blame me. Also, it's not about how many it's about the sentiment of it.

And Tohru seems happy about it. Next time I'll buy her a better gift.

Then again, she doesn't want to tell me her likes though…

'I wonder why I'm beginning to feel committed to her? Am I falling for her?'

I am not ignorant about dating and loving someone since I also loved someone before but we broke up because of personal reasons.

Still I hold her dear in my heart. I wonder what she's doing now.

Anyway, I'm certain that if we continue this path then I'm bound to truly cherish Tohru.

She seems kind, caring, cheerful, generous and fun to be around.

"Now, let's explore more and find something to celebrate with."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around me as we continued our exploration where it led us to An arcade, a place Tohru found particularly enchanting.

The flashing lights, the sounds of games, and the laughter of people resonated with her. She eagerly joined me in trying out different games, her lack of common sense in this modern setting only adding to the amusement.

"Darling, what is this?"

She pointed at the crane game that was obviously a waste of time and a complete scam.

"This is a crane game where you insert a coin and get the prize." I said as I demonstrated and easily won a dragon plush doll.

Oh the irony.

"Here it's yours now." I handed the plush doll and she became ecstatic. Does this girl not run out of energy?

You don't have to answer that. Wait, who the hell am I even talking to?

Uhmm anyway, we continued moving around the arcade playing various games until she tried a punching machine and needless to say she almost broke it.

Alright that's our cue! We both ran out of that place cause I ain't going to pay for that Shit!

As the clock struck midnight, I suggested they head to the rooftop garden of the mall, where a surprise awaited Tohru.

Under the starlit sky, Katsuro presented a small cake adorned with candles.

Tohru's eyes sparkled with delight as the candles flickered in the cool night breeze. The surrounding city lights created a magical backdrop for their celebration.

"Tohru, thank you for bringing your unique charm into my world." I said, raising his glass for a toast.

"To many more adventures and celebrations together." Tohru blushed, touched by the sentiment.

"And thank you, darling, for showing me the wonders of your world. I may lack common sense about this world, but with you by my side, every moment is an adventure!"

We clink our glasses, savoring the sweetness of the night, the enchantment of the mall, and the warmth of their growing connection.

The next day, I woke up when Tohru hugged him in bed. She felt warmth and pressed her body into mind.

Note to self, wear your shirt. I looked at her sleeping face and couldn't help but smile and lean to kiss her forehead.

She smiled when I had a pleasant dream. I wonder if it is wrong to act this intimate to someone you know for a day or two.

Then again she's a dragon and human standards don't seem to apply to her.

I sighed and gently moved her but she didn't want to let go of me like a koala.

"Miiine~~" She muttered and like an arrow my heart was strike.

Tohru then slowly woke up staring at me then her lips curled up into a smile.

"Morning~ darling." Tohru if you keep that up my little brother might break.

"Morning, Tohru. Sorry if I woke you up but it's already time for work." I said and she rubbed her eyes before nodding as we both got out of bed.

We both rinse our face and head downstairs to make breakfast. Once that was all done we both headed to the restaurant and opened it.

First next few hours there weren't any customers therefore we simply cleaned the place. It was then the door rang and what came was Hayato and he brought groups of people with him.

"Good day, Katsuro-kun! I brought people from my dojo with me." He said where I spotted Sasaki, Kensei Ma, Apachai, Shigure, Akisame and his granddaughter Miu.

"Is this really connected to another world, Grandpa?" Miu asked, looking around and finding the place appeared normal.

"Hahaha I am also trying to wrap my head around it but I met a new friend. Though, he seems not yet here." Hayato said while I walked over to them followed by Tohru.

"Welcome, Hayato-san! I'm glad you brought new customers. Since you're first to arrive, you'll get a discount." I said and he seemed happy.

"How generous, Katsuro-kun. I wonder if I should start coming early and get more discounts." He jokingly said while I chuckled.

"Hehehe you'll put me out of business at that rate. Anyway, have a seat." I said while the group sat down.

"It's true that you're a martial artist but I am surprised you chose to run a restaurant." Akisame said he has accomplished in many other fields other than martial arts.

"Yeah, with a body like that it's strange you waste yourself here." Kensei Ma said observing my stature.

True, it's been a while since I got time to train my body. Though, I do daily exercise when I get the chance.

"I guess you're right but I don't really have grand ambition to become the best. I aim to live comfortably and that's enough for me." I answered.

"Even if that is the case, you should keep your body in shape." Sasaki said.

"I'll keep that in mind. Have you decided on your order?"

I took their order while they introduced themselves to him and began making their dishes while I was doing this when another new customer came.

He seemed to be a salaryman and to my surprise to hear who he was. His name was Mikami Satoru or the future Rimuru Tempest.

He was certainly surprised hearing what the restaurant was and met Suzuki with the two getting along sharing their experience being salarymen and their struggle.

The irony.

I watched Tohru helping me and I started to enjoy her company.

Soon after, everyone was taken aback when someone entered their restaurant.

"What is this?" We all stared at the humanoid tortoise holding a wooden staff.

"A talking turtle? This certainly makes things weird" Satoru said.

"Excuse me but where is this? How can a door appear in the spirit realm?" He said while the martial art master sensed his ki was vast, almost comparable to Hayato!

"Spirit realm? I'm not sure where you came from but this place is…" Hayato explained to him surprising the old tortoise but at the same time seemed intrigued.

"Ah, how surprising."

"We may know your name? And where you are from." Kensei Ma asked, sensing that they came from the same country.

"My name is Oogway and I am the former senior master kung fu of the Jade palace located in china." Oogway said surprising them

"You also came from china!?" Kensei ma exclaimed as Oogway joined the martial art group sharing his experience and how he was surprised seeing different races.

"Really? Your world have a tiger that knows kung fu?" Miu was surprised imagining fighting someone like that and Oogway nodded.

It is surprising how he is able to get along with everyone. He seemed to enjoy the company of Hayato and Kensei ma the most since the two had the wisdom and roots.

This place is starting to become more lively than before.

I realize that Oogway doesn't have any way of paying but Hayato seems to insist that he'll pay for his meal. It is surprising how he eats. I wonder what carnivores in his world eat.

Yeah, let's not dwell into that too much.
