37 Chapter 38 - I'm motivated

Ryuu recalled that in the Devil May Cry 5 Vergil used the Yamato to separate his Demonic side to the human side forming the character V.

He thought of using the blade to sever the connection of the person like a Demon to become human once more and can be useful for Muzan who he doesn't plan to end his life.

It would be Kagaya who had been slowly returning back how he was due to helping potion and pills removing his illness.

Furthermore, the Yamato could be useful when extracting Sacred Gear from DxD and absorbed for himself. He wasn't planning on killing innocent people for power, even those that annoy him because it makes him petty.

He planned on stealing the [ Boosted Gear ] from Issei which would be useful. Ryuu set his goal on stealing those Sacred Gear like the Incinerate Anthem or Sephiroth Graal.

"O-Oyakata-sama, are you sure? He has only been training for two and half months!?"

Kagaya only smiled at her exclaimed and Ryuu only shrugged since he could easily defeat them with his breathing technique. His form was reminiscent of Hyuga's palm Technique but in sword style form.

"I am certain he can. Additionally, he won't be going alone and you'll be with him."

"I-Is that so!? That sounds good to hear."

Mitsuri felt relieved that she would be coming with Ryuu. She does feel more relaxed knowing that he wouldn't be alone fighting a Lower Moon.

"Are you scared that I might get hurt, Mitsuri-chan?"

Ryuu teasingly said that made Mitsuri become flustered and hiding her face much to his enjoyment showing how he improved in teasing. He had gotten so used to Shinobu teasing him that it made him start to tease her back.

His thoughts return to the mission and wonder who will be his opponent and what kind of Demon art they acquire. Furthermore, he wonders if he drank a Demon's blood would his magic change or allow him to absorb their Demon arts? There's one way to find out.

He hoped his reward would be Alucard from Hellsing Vampire ability or even the Black light virus from Prototype. It would be a fine addition to his unusual ability.

'I wonder if this is how Vandalieu feels?'

Ryuu dazely thoughts about a character who dislike his monsterous ability remember who have grotesque abilities that make them appear monstrous.

"Oyakata-sama, where is this place and when do we leave?"

Ryuu asked before he was given an in depth explanation from Kagaya who told him that places near the Capital had recently been reported of women missing and people hadn't been able to find their bodies.

He nodded from the ordeal, receiving the map from his system where the demon could be hiding and saw that it was in a populated area.

It would be difficult to fight it when they are innocent bystanders therefore planning to take the Demon as far as he can from the people.

Ryuu felt his body boiling in excitement to fight it and have a little field trip with Mitsuri.

"I hope you departed as early as you two can."

The two nodded afterwards and returned to their living quarters to prepare for their journey tomorrow. Ryuu bought some Healing potions and other remedies in case people get injured.

He wasn't worried about himself due having [ Rapid Healing ] but was concerned for the victim that is Alive. The next day, Ryuu and Mitsuri departed from geh Demon Slayer corp towards the capital.

They were on foot since they might come across demons along the way. Ryuu looks at Mitsuri who's a bit nervous around him despite spending a month together.

"U-Uhm I like your new hairstyle."

Ryuu heard Mitsuri who saw his hair tied in a ponytail with large bangs at the front similar to Arthur Leywin teen hairstyle. True to his words, he let grow for Shinobu but also due to the fact he doesn't know how to cut his hair.

"Ah thank you, I did grow it for Shinobu-san but I'm glad you like it too. To be honest It's embarrassing but the truth is I just don't know how to cut my hair."

He acted embarrassed, which made Mitsuri giggle after hearing his words. Ryuu enjoyed hearing her laughter, finding it rather cute and wanted to protect but he knew that timidness is the last thing you would expect from someone capable of lifting boulders with ease.

"Huh? I smell some blood."

"There seems to be someone fighting over there. Let's see what's going on."

Ryuu said as they dash in tremendous speed that it only took them several seconds to arrive where a pack of demons terrorizing a merchant chart. They were struggling to fight the demons on their own with a lot of people barely holding on.

"Low ranking demons...they probably lack the lower moon."

"Really!? How did you come up with that conclusion?"

"A hunch but it never lied to me. Let's go and make sure to leave one alive."

Mitsuri nodded before the two vanished and reappeared between the demons and the people who were shocked to see them.

"Huh? A Demon Slayer?? This is going to be tricky but I won't let you take our food!!"

One of the demons screamed while Ryyu scanned the Area using his Byakugan that had reached 5km and found there were exactly 5 low ranking demons attacking the caravan.

He turned ignoring the demons calling out for him looking at the caravan which had large cargo with few people inside scared.

"Are you deaf!! Screw it, you're now my food! All of you kill him!"

It was then the Demon couldn't react quick enough when their body was sliced to pieces and their head decapitated where Mitsuri had swiftly killed them all. Ryuu couldn't help but whistle at her performance while the last Demon felt fear and instinctively tried to run away.

"Oh no you don't, First Form - Pestilence Strike!"

Ryuu took out his blade, spinning the weapon before launching it towards the escaping demon that pierced through the demon's chest and turned to look at him before pulling the demon closer.

He then used his other dagger to execute a series of strikes to its body, causing it to scream in pain. It was unable to move after it's vital points were struck and was forced to look at Ryuu who add his [ Petrifying Gaze ].

"Now tell me the truth and I will give you a swift death. Where is one of the Lower Moon?"

The Demons tried to struggle but it was in pain only glared at Ryuu in rage. He then was stabbed once more in his eyes making him scream in pain.

"I only need an answer and if you keep looking at me then I'll just let the sun do the job?"

"Screw you! I won't say anything!!"

"Suit yourself."

Ryuu decided to kill it without causing more pain since he isn't a sadist unless that person directly harms someone important to him.

He didn't need to ask since the [ Byakugan ] could easily locate the Demon but only asked to see any information regarding their Blood Demon Art.

After a while, Mitsuri and Ryuu made a small burial for those who had died along with the Demon who lost their way. They were offered by the Caravan for a free ride which they accepted since they were also heading to the capital.

"I still can't believe demons exist!"

"It's best if you forgot about them since Demons might hunt you down again knowing that you find out about their existences."

Ryuu explains making the driver of the caravan sweat. He turned to Mitsuri who was leaning on his shoulder asleep. It was understood as they were walking for several now.

He let her be and continued their hunt for the Lower Demon. They soon arrive at the Capital where it was like a TV drama where they were full of old foreign and people in yukata.

Once he stepped foot immediately used his [ Byakugan ] to find the Lower Demon and it didn't take much time for him to see the exact location where the Demon was nesting.

"Mitsuri, wake up."

"....I want Sakura Mochi…"

"Yeah I'll buy you a lot later."

Ryuu chuckled hearing her half asleep and took some time for her to fully wake up. The two rented an inn to stay for the time being and would wait for the right time to strike.
