16 The reason to save me

The next day, I woke up and find myself wrapped in the hoddie of Travis. I was looking around to find Travis. I can't find him. So I went outside to look for him and give this hoodie back to him. When I was looking for Travis, I saw Ilhan coming. It looks like he was looking for something. When he saw me, he rushes to me.

He asked me with a worried face, "Have you seen Travis anywhere?"

I answered, "No, I was also looking for him."

He again asked me, "Do you have some time to talk?"

I said to him, "Yeah, I have a lot of time. But now I have to find Travis."

He further asked, "Why are you looking for him?"

I replied to him, "I want to give this hoodie back to him because it's his. That's why I was looking for him."

He told me, "Oh, If that's the reason, then you can give me this hoodie. I'll give it to him whenever I see him. So now listen to me."

I give him this hoodie and said to him, "Ok then tell me."

He told me, "I'm gonna tell you something about werewolves."

I asked him, "But didn't you the one who said a week ago that you can't tell me about your kind?"

He said to me, "Yeah. But now I have to tell you."

I again asked him, "Why now?"

He told me, "Because yesterday I saw something that made me tell you about it."

I asked him curiously, "What did you saw yesterday?"

He answered, "I saw him crying for the first time. Yesterday he was sitting next to you and shedding tears in that room. He was looking at you with so much affection. I don't know why he was crying but I think it's because of you."

I further asked, " Why he would shed tears for me?"

He replied, "Because you resemble his mate to him."

I said, "What?"

He told me, "As I said before, we're werewolves. In werewolves, there's a term called mate which is-"

I stopped him and said, "I know about it. Travis already told me about mate."

He said to me, "Then he would have told you about his mate also."

I told him, "He started it but couldn't finish. How do I resemble her tell me?"

He told me, "Not you but your scent which is exactly like his mate's scent. I think he saved you that day because of your smell which reminds him of his mate. He treats you rudely at first because he doesn't want to get involved with you for not wanting the same conclusion. But over time, I think he started to like you. Most probably he thinks of you as his mate now. I know, you're a human and his mate was also a human too. At last, She along with Travis's whole family died due to a conflict."

I asked, "What? Didn't you say that he came here to visit his sister and was also get injured on his way to his sister's house?"

He told me, "Only his younger sister survived this conflict because she wasn't there."

I again asked, "Who occurred that conflict?"

He said, "Because of his mate's father and a female omega werewolf named Zelda, this conflict occurred. After that I no longer want any werewolves or other creatures to come near to him. I always wanted to protect him. But now I think he needs you. Can't you give him that love which he's looking for?"

"How can I? - I said while reminding what Travis said about me yesterday. He said that I've become a vampire and they're enemies of each other.

He told me, "Even if you can't love him all of sudden. At least, just act for his sake."

I said to him, "When I'll have to go back? Th-"

He said, "No problem. Don't worry about the time when you've to go. I'll manage him on my way. So for now please take care of him, you just have to act with him now."

I asked him, "Why me? You take care of him as you do all this time."

He said to me, "For now I have something to do of my own. Not exactly mine."

I asked, "What do you mean? can you tell me?

He said, "It's about Travis's sister. She recently had a problem finding her mate. I would like to discuss this with Travis but he is not in a certain situation now. So I have to help her and also need someone to take care of him. So please help me."

I slightly nodding my head and said, "Ok."

He said, "Thank you for accepting my deal. I've to go now. By the way, how're you? Did something change in your body?"

I flinched as he asked me. I answered, "No, but why are you asking?"

He said to me, "Nothing but you just look too pale than the last time. Do I've to check you?"

I told him, "No, I'm all good. You can go where you want to."

He wanted to come to check me but as I refused he stop and went to his destination.

In the afternoon when Travis came home, I told him, "Let's go for a walk like yesterday."

He told me, "Ok but now I have to take a bath first now since I am back from hunting. After lunch, we will go somewhere really interesting."

After his bath, today we went to the forest from where he found me. Now I saw this place was really awesome. We roam around. After I roaming around, we sit under a tree. Then I insisted and told him to tell me the rest of his story.

He chuckled and began his story.
