9 Meeting

Ilhan's pov

I told her with a beaming face, "Hello, Trena, how're you doing?"

She didn't answer my question but sadly asked, "Only you, where's Travis?"

I said, "He has got really urgent work there. So he couldn't make time for you. He's so sorry for you. That's why he told me to visit you for today or else you'll be too upset and it can't be tolerated by your beloved brother Travis."

She asked me with an indifferent face, "I was so excited that he would come at least this month. We only meet each other once a month. So how can he have so much work after two whole months that he can't meet me? I could take a month, but he didn't come to see me for about two months. How can he have worked so much work that he can't visit me after a whole month, no two months? I won't wander so many places this time with him as his punishment because he broke his promise. What do I do now?"

I soothe her and told her, "Sorry that he couldn't come here. Next time He'll definitely come. But if you don't mind then I can go with you where you want."

She joked, "Really, but how can you spend time with me when you're a busy doctor?"

I simpered and told her, "I've no problem today. I'm on vacation. So don't worry about it. If you agree then I'll do whatever you want."

She told me, "Wait for me, I'll be ready within 10 minutes." Then she merrily went to her room to get ready.

While I was waiting for her, Trena's aunt Ellie Lewis came to visit me with some food. She came and sat next to me.

Then she asked me, "How're you, Ilhan? And what about Travis?"

I replied, "I'm all good. Travis is also fine. Travis couldn't make time to visit her today due to some work of his. So he asked me to meet her. So I came here instead. Anyway, how're you, Mrs. Lewis?"

She told me, "I'm ok. But I think I know the real reason why he didn't come here today."

I hesitantly asked, "What do you mean by this?"

She said, "He didn't come today because they're trying to find him again and a few days ago, he had got injured while fighting with them Right?"

I curiously asked her, "How do you know all of this?"

She said, "They also come here to know where Travis lives now so that she can meet him."

I tensely asked, "Did you tell them?"

She answered, "Of course not. But now you need to take more care of Travis. I think his life is in danger now because of their presence."

I agreed with her words and said, "Obviously, I'll do something for his sake. So don't worry about him."

She said with a grieving face, "How could I not worry about him? After that incident, he had become as hard as stone. He doesn't even smile, even with Trena. He didn't even talk to us and he also never came in front of us as well as. He just came to meet Trena. So he came and called her outside, gave her some gifts and then he left. Sometimes he even brought some gifts for me but tell me how can I accept them?"

I said, "I understand. I think he needs more time to get over it."

She said while crying, "Back then I didn't give him Trena because I knew that he can't take proper care of her with that mental situation of his. At that time he didn't even take care of himself and didn't want me to take care of him. So I wondered how he could take care of this child? After that, he didn't come to visit me. I think he's mad at me."

I soothe her and told her, "Don't cry, Mrs. Lewis. You don't have to be worried about him. He's really doing well."

She wiped her tears and said, "But now I have to meet him. Trena will be able to shift in a few weeks. She's so curious about everything surrounding her. I already tell her everything about her family because she asked me about this. I thought she will ask me about her mate before her shifting process. She didn't ask me yet."

I said, "Oh, did Travis know about this?"

She said, "No, he didn't. I need your help now."

I said, "How can I help you, Mrs. Lewis?"

She said, "As she didn't want to ask me about her mate. I thought she would like to know this from Travis. If he came this time, I would meet him and tell him to explain the word 'mate' to her and help her find her mate. But as you said he's stuck with some work there. You're smart and you're like another brother to her. You have to ask her if she wanna know about a mate or wanna meet her mate. I mean she should know about this before her experience."

I told her, "Ok then, I'll ask her about it."

After a few minutes, Trena comes out of her room and told me, "Ilhan I'm ready to let's go now or we are gonna be late."

I said, "Ok let's go, and Goodbye Mrs. Lewis."

She told me, "Goodbye, Dear. Take care of her."
