3 Set-up

Headache, stomachache, and general tiredness were what she woke up with the next morning and along with those was memory loss, she found it hard to remember all that happened after she took the alcohol but she didn't need to try too hard to remember though, her friends already made it easy for her as they had taken videos and sent it to their chat group

She wasn't all that concerned that there was evidence that she got drunk and crazy, what she was more concerned about is how she kept saying 'Dave' for a very long time non-stop. The fact that she was like that while drunk was both funny and disturbing and it also made her come to the conclusion that she was going to go through with the plan of meeting him or cutting the relationship, so after going to take her bath and preparing herself for the trip to one of the brands she works for, she took a selfie and posted it on her story with the caption 'you don't wanna know, you really don't' and left online in total

The trip to Elast the cosmetic company she works for was filled with anxiety and uncertainty, she needed to be the favored party in the contract and she had employed a lawyer recommended by one of her mates to make that happen but then she knows Elast's legal team, they are manipulative and they always get what they want at the end of the day but that very day, they didn't get what they want, or maybe they just wanted to keep her for the time being and let her go later, either ways she goes the contract to be in her favor, a real cause for celebration and when it came to celebrating it with someone, the only person that came to his mind was Mr. Field and not only that, to her, it also seemed like a really good excuse to break their engagement in case he didn't show up so as she was being carried home, she took out her phone, went into Dave's dm and texted him

'Yo fam!' was the introduction message she sent to him and she waited with bated breath for his reply it didn't take him up to two minutes before he replied

'I didn't know you've familied me, that's such an honor' he replied with a please emoji and she smiled, that's how it's always is with Dave, she's either always smiling or laughing while talking to him and to her, it is a good thing, if not the best

'No one families you sir, aren't you one of my fans? It's only nice of me to refer to you as a fam, right?' she replied almost immediately after he replied

'Well, Miss Oli, to not be a fan is to be stupid and blind, we all know that, now to what do I owe this honor'

'I'm glad you are not stupid' she sent while she blushed hard, yes, she knows she was beautiful and is almost every man's dream but then hearing it from his mouth always have a way of playing with her heart in such a way that it brings blood rush to her cheeks

'I'm glad too' he replied immediately after she texted and just as she started typing her next message, one of the things she loved about this man is the fact that as long as he was online, he was always replying to her as soon as possible which is mostly almost immediately, how she wishes he would also come over to her side as soon as he can

'Anyways, the main reason I'm texting you is to invite you over to my side, the contract I was telling you about, the one with Elast, worked out in my favor and I feel the need to celebrate, with you' she sent and once again, she waited with bated breath for his reply and just as she had guessed, it did take long for him to give her his reply despite reading it immediately and when he started typing, she knew what he was going to say, or maybe she felt she could guess what he was going to say and exactly as she guessed, his reply came

'Olivia, you know I can't come over to your place' he said much to her disappointment, and normally after he says that, she would try to persuade him for a while and then their conversation would ended with him saying sorry and that one day he would come over or maybe they would eat out but that day would never come, that is for sure which is why today, she isn't ready to give up the conversation with just persuasion, it is either he comes over or they separate

'That's the issue Dave, I don't know shit' she replied angrily, she didn't feel like breaking her and Dave's good relationship but she can't keep on doing that, it might seem nice to other people but then it isn't to her, she is tired of online, she wants something real, she has been lonely for far too long and that isn't nice to her, especially when she's finding it hard to be with another man when she has the one she wants in her dm

'Are you angry?' he asked and she rolled her eyes at his question, he asked her if she was angry? As if it's not enough reason for her to be livid

'Shouldn't I be? You keep acting like I'm not worth your presence, well you even said it once, I shouldn't be surprised, I was just a fool for thinking that you were joking then' she said as she remembered one of the things, he said to her when she asked him if they could meet and he said he was just joking but as she remembers now, it doesn't sound like a joke anymore

'What the hell Oli, you know I was joking, why are you saying otherwise?' he replied but Olivia could give care, she is ready to say all that was on her mind and she isn't going to consider anyone

'How was I supposed to know you are joking, I'm not psychic' she replied as she texted angrily, this is legit their second time arguing, the first time was when she was angry he didn't pick up any of her calls for a very long time, both video and voice call, it wasn't an easy feeling for her then, trying to speak to him after a very hard time at work, all she wanted to do was talk to him but he didn't pick his calls and when he finally did, it was a huge blast between them and now, it seemed like this conversation is going to be worst

'Olivia, I was serious when I told you it was joking and you knew it then, you see it's not like I don't want to see you, in fact, you can't comprehend how much I want to see you, it's just hard for me to, trust me' he replied almost immediately and as Olivia read his message, she found it hard to comprehend it for real, if he also wanted to see her, why is it hard for him?

'Dave, you don't make sense, if you also want to see me, why are you stalling?' she texted annoyed at the way he was thinking and it brought back the memories of when he declined any effort he made to get him to send her pictures, then was also a rough time for both of them

'What if you don't like the sight of me?' he texted and she rolled her eyes at his text, who gives a fuck! Right?

'Why won't I like the sight of you? It's not like you are ugly, are you?' she said exactly the same thing she said to him the first time they chatted and the exact same thing she tells herself whenever she wants to reassure herself of his looks

'What if I am?' he said and she laughed, finally, the Dave she knows is back, the funny Dave but then she isn't ready for the funny Dave, she wants the serious Dave because she needs seriousness if she wants to successfully persuade him to come over

'Even if you are ugly, you can't be as ugly as a chimpanzee, now if only you are that ugly, then don't come but if you aren't, don't give me any other excuse' she texted while smiling and she was so sure he would be smiling too over there

'Are you sure about this Olivia' he replied and she smiled, this funny prick, trying to make her laugh

'Of course, when you are ready, tell me and I'll send my address, just don't be late I might be busy tonight' she texted and then turned off her phone, she is finally going to see this man!
