It's kind of boring being here on the planet Hindro. Nothing ever happens. All I do is go to school, come back, do my homework, and then I have a plenitude of free time to spend as I please. It's dull. There aren't any other words for it.
My name is Ichoo Qeezixyx and I am 13 years old. I know, my name is a bit strange (it sounds like a sneeze), but that's what my parents named me. I wish people would call me Ich instead.
I live in a town called Hilman. Here, it's always mundane and monotonous. Nothing interesting happens. But, I can deal with it, it's not that bad. Besides, it's a small town and miles away from the capital city, where everyday is exciting.
My family and I live in an average house, but my parents often aren't home because they have to work. My older brother, Nushot, takes care of me most of the time. I woke up that morning and looked out the window. It looked like warm day. The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky.
I sluggishly got out of bed, yawning. I glanced out the window and noticed my friend, Saturo Kanshiro. He was waiting for me outside the front door.
I pulled my black t-shirt over my head, hurriedly threw on my white shorts and my blue cap over my chestnut brown hair. I jogged downstairs and grabbed my shoes as I threw my backpack over my shoulder.
"Don't you want breakfast?" Nushot asked as he was pouring coffee into his mug. He was sitting down at the dinner table.
"What do we have?" I asked, looking over in his direction.
"Well, we have cereal and some leftover sandwiches from last night," Nushot replied.
"I'll take a sandwich, I'm in a hurry," I interrupted as I grabbed a sandwich and walked towards the front door.
Once I opened the door, I saw Saturo in front of me. He was wearing fairly casual clothes, a blue and gray striped shirt with black pants. I could also tell that his Mom brushed his blond hair this morning, even though he didn't like it that way.
"Hey, Saturo!" I exclaimed as I shut the door behind me.
"Finally! What took you so long?" He asked, exasperated.
"Well, I kind of slept in…" I replied sheepishly, scratching my head.
Saturo stared at me with a disappointed look in his eyes.
"Whatever. Since you're finally awake and ready, let's just go to school," Saturo sighed. The two of us then walked away from my house, heading towards the school.
"Aren't you going to mess up your hair?" I asked.
"I would, but my mom would kill me," Saturo groaned.
I took a bite out of my sandwich as we walked.
"We're finally here," I said as we entered the schoolyard.
The school was like any normal boring middle school. It was the only one in town and of course it would be called Hilman Middle School. It's as simple as that.
"Oh no! It's that jerk, John…" Saturo then mumbled. In front of us we noticed someone... John.
John was the biggest bully of our school. He's kind of a clown though, which is the only semi-okay part about him. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros in his case. To make matters worse, he's in our homeroom.
"Hey there, little buggy!" John shouted at Saturo while shoving him backwards.
"Leave me alone!" Saturo yelled and pushed him back.
"Wait! Don't fight him, Saturo! Remember what happened last time?" I asked, as Saturo was winding up to punch John in the face, but I stopped him.
"Yeah, I know, I had detention for a week," Saturo replied as he let his guard down. He recalled the last time he fought John, where he gave him a bloody nose and got in trouble. As much as we'd like for that to happen again, we didn't want either of us to get in trouble.
"Looks like the little buggy has lost his stinger," John mocked, crossing his arms with a mischievous smirk on his face.
If looks could kill, John would have been long dead. We were both furious, but we held ourselves back from attacking John, because the consequences would be pretty unpleasant.
"Let's get to homeroom, Saturo," I suggested, turning away from John and towards the school.
Saturo and I entered our homeroom, barely on time. Everyone was sitting down in their places, but there was one person missing… John. He always was missing, either absent or tardy.
Saturo and I sat down at our desks, which were conveniently side by side. Our homeroom teacher's only real defining feature was his long black hair, that slightly resembled that of a D.J.
"Alright class, let's begin," The teacher said while looking down at the attendance sheet.
He began reading names. A chorus of "here's" sounded.
"Jo--" The teacher spoke but was interrupted by a loud sound at the doorway.
"And his name is John Ceno! DUN DEN DEN DEEEEEEEN!!"
And there was John, dancing like a maniac at the doorway of the classroom.
"Your time is up, my time is now! You can't see me, my time is now! It's the franchise, boy I'm shining now! You can't see me, my time is now!" John yelled as he waved his head all over the place while he jumped onto the teacher's desk.
"That's enough Mr. Ceno. To the office. Now!" The teacher yelled as the girls in the class giggled.
Yeah. All the girls laugh at him, but the boys… For some reason we are embarrassed because of him. It's better not to question why, trust me.
I then turned around and spotted John's posse, his ground of friends. The four of them were smiling like John's dancing and singing was an amazing comedic performance. They always thought that John made their day brighter.
Ugh… Today is just as normal as every day.
