193 Clichés 7: A Cliché Type of Blackmail

The boy's deranged parent had gotten himself into the car with her and she sped up along the highway like a mad person that she was. For how long, he couldn't remember. She ignored the signs. She ignored a lot of things— even the patrol car which had started to chase after them after some time.

It was as if she was already in another plane, unseeing of the reality before her eyes. But, unlike her, the young boy who was now fighting for consciousness owing to malnutrition and hunger due to the length of time his parent had forgotten to feed him remained anxious of his surroundings.

It was then when it happened.

A small dot appeared at the horizon, and, as their out of control car drew closer, the small dot became bigger and bigger, taking a form of a boy crossing the street.
