7 DIAVOLO

"I don't have anyone, in particular, to sell it to, yet, but the location is La Scala."

The cup that was in Fabian's hand slipped and crashed on the floor…

Fabian was in a daze for a few seconds. "Goddammit, I almost fell for your trick. La Scala, I doubt they'll let you get past their gate." He chuckled. "Your ambition puts mine to shame." Fabian picked another cup up and poured another drink for himself.

"Sure if I wasn't a student, it would have been hard to get into the university to sell them, but not impossible. However, that is not the case. I got a full scholarship into the university." Noah revealed.

-Crash!!

The cup that was in Fabian's hand slipped and fell to the floor, again. Two cups broken in one night.

Fabian frowned. "What the fuck? Your ambition is really high. I haven't even gotten admission into any of the universities I applied to. I knew that you were smart, but fuck. You are trying to leave me in the dust. How can I be your rival if I can't even get to a university comparable to La Scala?" He started mumbling to himself.

"We were never running the same race in the first place. You have continued to delude yourself that we were rivals for the past 9 years. You were in the dust from the first day that we met."

"Why are you so cold-hearted?" Fabian looked at Noah with a hurt expression.

"So… are you going to sell me the drugs or not?" Noah asked, ignoring his façade.

"Block of ice. Of course, I will sell it to you, but rather than 2k worth of drugs, I'll give you 4k worth." Fabian frowned and picked another cup up. He turned and looked at Noah as if he was trying to use his gaze to ask him if he had another shocking news.

He had already broken 2 cups and didn't want to break the third one.

Noah kept quiet, watching Fabian with a neutral expression as he poured himself a drink for the third time. This time he could see that Fabian had a firm grip on the cup.

"You know that I don't take unrequited charity. Tell me what the extra 2k is for." Noah demanded.

"You are going to a school filled with rich pricks… very rich pricks. Knowing you, the price of the cheapest dope will probably be around double of what we sell here, maybe triple. I will be giving you 4k worth of what you requested. 2k for you to enjoy every bit of profit from it, and the second one for me and you to share."

Noah arched a brow at Fabian, he understood what he was trying to do. If Noah sold 10gramms of coke for triple the original price, not only would he make back the money he used to acquire the drugs, his capital; he would have an extra double of that amount.

'I have to admit, Fabian might be stupid at times, but his knack for seeing opportunities to earn money is not bad. Hmmm, what should I do? Do I agree, or disagree? Let's hear what he has to say about sharing the profits from the extras.' Noah thought.

"You haven't said anything about agreeing to what I said? Did you zone out?" Fabian looked at Noah nervously. 'This bitch is hard to predict at times.' He added in his mind.

"I am waiting to hear how we're are going to spilt the profit from the extra 2k worth of drugs." Noah crossed his right leg over his left and relaxed on the couch.

"70:30," Fabian uttered casually and sipped a little bit from what was in his cup. He also made sure to avoid Noah's gaze.

"Selling drugs in that school is already dangerous as it is. First, I will be selling your drugs, meaning – imported drugs from the region that your uncle oversees, in another region.

If the Capone of that region finds out that drugs that he has no control over are being sold at a high price, under his authority, he is going to want to put a few bullets in me." Noah pointed out.

"60:40 then." Fabian took a step back, he couldn't refute what Noah was saying because it was the truth. What he was planning to do is very dangerous.

"And also, moving around with that much drug is not a wise thing to do. So if the danger of transportation is to be included-"

"I will take care of the transportation, including the transportation of the ones you ordered for," Fabian interjected.

"My scholarship is also on the line here, 40% is not encouraging to me." Noah shook his head.

"Alright then!! 50:50, are you happy now?!" Fabian turned and glared at Noah. If he had continued to avoid his gaze, Noah would have attempted to topple the balance of the shares with some kind of irrelevant, yet crucial excuse.

"Barely, but I can manage with that." He shrugged his shoulders and smirked at Fabian.

"You freaking Diavolo," Fabian intoned in frustration. "Saying that he doesn't accept unrequited charity and yet, here he is. Trying to extort from my goodwill. Hypocrite!!"

"I can hear you mumbling from over here."

"I shall head to the church and pray to God to save me from the claws of the devil." Fabian eyed Noah with disdain.

Noah chuckled. "If I was the devil, trust me, I would make sure you suffer more losses than this."

Fabian had the urge to curse at Noah, but he knew that his friend would use any little excuse he can, just to throw a punch at him. So he took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

"When will you be leaving for Ticinese?" Fabian questioned. Ticinese is where La Scala's campus is situated. It is located just south of the city center.

"I don't know yet, probably a week before resumption."

"Congratulations on your admission into the most expensive and prestigious university in all of Italy." Fabian raised his glass and congratulated Noah, wholeheartedly.

"It was to be expected," Noah uttered nonchalantly.

"Arrogant prick, Forza, you don't have to rub it in my face." Fabian frowned at him.

"Call it whatever you want… since what I came here for has been achieved, I see no reason to remain here." Noah exhaled and got up from the couch.

"Seriously?! You came here for that, not to see your friend and rival that you haven't spoken to since graduation?!" He gently placed his cup on a table that was in the middle of the room.

"The last time we had a conversation was in June, after graduation. You came to me and said that you weren't going to show up in the pit anymore, period, nothing else.

I tried calling and texting you for the past 4 months and you didn't even bother returning any of my calls. Now you come to me for something and refuse to catch up with your best friend!?" Fabian expressed himself, he looked hurt as he spoke.

Noah sighed, "First of all, we are not friends. I know you, you know me, nothing more. Secondly, best friends? What did you put in that drink? You sound like a broken-hearted lover that was dumped because of his clinginess."

"I know you, you know me. For fuck's sake Noah, I've known you for 9 years. Tell me something that I don't know about you. What goes on in your head? No one can easily guess that. What your favorite food is—I know that.

Your favorite color—I know that. The kind of girl you like—I know that. How big your inflated pride is—It shows on your cold face. Shit, I even know the size of your dick and color of your ass!!!" Fabian blurted out.

"Wait, Hold up, what!?" Noah looked at Fabian with disgust on his face. "When the fuck did you get that kind of information!?"

"Okay I exaggerated that part, but that is not the point here, okay?!"

Noah eyed Fabian, looking at him like someone to be avoided at all cost. "And what exactly is your point, Fabian?" He muttered.

"Forza, for 9 years Noah. Even if you don't want to accept it, don't deny it. You know that I am the only friend that you got and trust."

"You make it sound like we are dating. Suit yourself, Fabian." Noah proceeded to leave Fabian's uncle's office.

"Tell me where you're going to now because if I let you leave my sight tonight, I might not have the chance to congratulate you properly." Fabian followed behind.

"You already congratulated me, you don't need to do any excess extras." Noah refused.

"You were jugging, weren't you? Wait a minute, I'll get change and join you."

"Go on your own, Fabian."

"You can't stop me from going to where I wanna go, you know."

"It is a crime to stalk people, especially at night."

Fabian didn't wait to listen to what Noah had to say, he rushed into his uncle's office to get changed.

Noah shook his head and walked his way towards the exit of the warehouse.

"I knew that you weren't going to wait for me." Fabian exited the warehouse with ash shorts and black sneakers. He still had his brown Armani button-up shirt on.

"A little parkour should change your mind," Noah mentioned as he bent down to tighten the laces on his shoes.

Noah and Fabian used to parkour from time to time. It began when Noah was tired of having Fabian follow him and he wanted to lose him. Noah started using routes with complex environments and Fabian being stubborn didn't give up, he continued to stalk Noah.

"Parkour? In this shirt!? You freaking piece of… you know what? I don't care. I'll just buy another one. Bring it on pretty boy."

Before he had finished speaking, Noah bolted towards the iron net fence that he scaled earlier tonight, and Fabian wasted no time in following behind him…
