10. Mine

Lunch time was almost over when Stefani and Noah came back at SI. Their negotiation with the president of MGC went well as expected and SI has finally nailed a deal with the largest shipping company in the country.

"Are we going to proceed with project as usual?" Stefani asked while tapping on her tablet as they went inside the company building.

"Yes, tell Tony I don't want any mistakes." Noah replied, walking ahead.

"Of course." Stefani continued to tap on her tablet, finishing something, "Tony is a reliable and resourceful, man." She looked up, "I bet he won't disappoint you." She smiled.

"Hmn." Noah droned and stopped walking.

Stefani stopped as well.

"Something up?" She asked, wondering why he suddenly stopped walking this time. Last time they stopped, there was a vampire doing a surveillance on them. So, what was it this time? Still the same one as before?

But actually, it was Noah who sensed Lara's presence nearby so he stopped. He went to the cafeteria and Stefani followed him quietly and confused.

"I didn't know you were hungry." She said but Noah ignored her and didn't reply.

Instead, he searched for his mate amongst the crowd of people. There and then, he saw Lara laughing and talking with her friends.

Warmth filled his chest when he saw her beautiful smile and her laughing face. She looked like she was having fun.

Some of the employees saw Noah and they greeted him when they saw him. But Stefani was the only one who returned their greetings with a smile since Noah was preoccupied at the moment.

Stefani looked at the longing in her best friend's eyes. You don't see Noah like this everyday, she thought.

He's usually cold and detached. Silent and domineering sometimes. But when it comes to his mate, he becomes just like any werewolf in the pack.

She first he had a stone for a heart. But now he was capable of feeling emotions like longing, happiness and...jealousy.

"Why don't you invite her to eat with you next time." Stefani suggested.

Since he wanted to spend time with mate so much, he should start making a move, she thought.

But Noah didn't reply because he suddenly noticed Michael sitting closely beside his mate. He didn't noticed the man cause he was mesmerized by Lara at first.

But the spell broke when Michael put his arms around Lara's shoulders again while telling her friends one of his funniest jokes. A thing he always does when he's flirting.

Noah felt a sting in his chest. He felt uncomfortable. And angry!

Does he want to die?

Noah had always had his wolf under control. His heritage made it possible for him to subdue his wolf earlier than the others. But now his wolf was growling and pouncing to get out inside him.

He wanted to rip Michael apart.

Mine! His wolf growled.

Noah didn't notice his fist trembling when Stefani touched his arm to calm him down.

"Noah, don't." She warned him. Unfortunately, her voice wasn't able to calm him down.

Not listening to her warning, Noah's body moved on its own and he strode towards Lara's direction with heavy strides. When he stopped beside her table, all four of them including Lara turned towards him. The cafeteria became deathly quiet.

"O...M...G." Chance mouthed to Rachel.

"I can't believe I'm seeing him in person..." Rachel squealed and whispered back.

He tried her best not to be heard but Noah's heightened senses made it possible for him to hear her clearly

"... Sir Noah."

Lara was surprised.

What is he doing here? She thought.

Does he eat lunch in the cafeteria as well? She added but without a word, Noah suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her up to her feet making her yelp in surprise.

"Sir? What-"

"Noah, stop." Stefani arrived and attempted to block his path but Noah only saw red. He wasn't thinking straight and he growled at her in front of the other employees who was watching the whole scene.

"Get out of my way." He ordered and everyone was shocked.

What was happening? This was the first time their president treated his secretary like this. He's usually so cool and collected without an expression on his face.

"No!" Stefani didn't flinch and stopped him. "Noah, you're going to scare her if you do this."

"I don't care!"

Lara cried out when Noah dragged her away.

"Noah!"

Stefani called his name, forgetting to add sir to it coz she's desperate to stop him from commiting a big mistake. But he was already too far for her to catch up.

"Shit..." She cursed under her breath. She doesn't have a good feeling about this.

Noah brought Lara to the private elevator and let her go when the doors finally closed.

"Sir Noah?"

"Quiet!" He pressed the floor number of his office.

But Lara didn't listen.

"Sir, you have to tell me what I did wrong to make you this angry so that I can correct it." She calmly said but it didn't lighten up his mood.

"Don't make me repeat myself, Lara." He warned her. "When I say quiet, be quiet."

But she didn't listen to him still.

Lara can be stubborn and hard headed at times and this is one of those times.

She doesn't understand why he was acting like this...

"Sir Noah, please tell me."

Noah pushed Lara to the wall and she yelped when her back hit the cold surface. "Sir, what-" Noah pressed his hard body towards her softness and placed his thighs between her legs.

Then he cupped her face between his hands and kissed her ferociously on the lips making Lara flinch in surprise.

What-

He kissed her!

Why is he kissing her?

Lara tried to push him away but Noah grabbed her arms and raised them both above her head.

She was now trapped!

"Noah, stop!" She said between kisses but calling his name only made him want to kiss her more.

Lara shivered. His lips soft and burning on her lips.

Lara tried to struggle free but he wouldn't budge. His large frame over powered her easily and instead of stopping, he deepened the kiss by inserting his tongue inside her mouth. Lara groaned when her body suddenly started to feel hot and needy from him kiss.

Noah encircled his arms around her waist and her body sagged in his arms. Finally surrendering to his kiss.

She has never been kissed by a man before. This is the first time and it feels so... it actually feels so good being kissed by him.

Lara gasped softly when Noah groaned on her lips. His teeth gently nibbled on her lower lip.

Noah was starting to get addicted by her taste. He never thought he'd become so addicted to her lips like this.

Lara's lips tasted divine...and sweet...like ambrosia from Olympus and get couldn't get enough it- of her...

Noah pulled her close and place butterfly kisses on her cheek up to her temple.

"You're mine," he said.

Lara looked up at his handsome face, her eyes still in a daze from the kiss they shared.

"...What?"

"I said, you're mine. And I don't want anyone touching what's mine." He growled before dipping his head to kiss her again.
