4 Red Alert

Jabami Yumeko. She caused quite a stir in the student body ever since she transferred. First, she beat Mary Saotome.

Then Itsuki Sumeragi, one of the student council members.

And then she almost won her gamble with Nishinotouin, another council member. If Kirari didn't intervene she would've bagged the win. That gamble made her a housepet.

Then there's Midari, the crazy eye patched girl of the student council.  She gambled with Yumeko and it ended in a tie. You never liked that girl. She's mad.

Slowly, Yumeko was making a name for herself causing other members to target her.

Then there's the debt settlement event. She paired up with Mary and won fabulously. From then on, Mary and her became friends.

You and Kirari sat in the student council room.

"(Y/n). Do you know Jabami Yumeko?" Kirari asked you.

"Yes. She's my classmate. Why do you ask?" you answered.

"What do you think of her?"

Is this a trick question? You thought.

"I heard rumors but I really have no interest in her." you answered.

"I see." she answered nonchalantly.

She looked bored. She hasn't even looked at you once.

"I'll be gone for a while." she said.

"Oh."

"I have eyes everywhere."

You frowned.

What is this girl implying?

She smiled and finally looked at you.

"I expect you to be a good girl while I'm gone."

"Ah. I see." So it was a warning.

You walked back to your classroom and sat at your chair. Suddenly a black haired girl stood in front of you.

"Yumeko." a stupid looking guy tried to stop her.

She leaned down on you and smiled. Your eyes landed on her chest.

"Pervert." you heard Mary say beside you.

"I wasn't looking at that." you said and reached out to Jabami's chest.

Mary's face reddened while Jabami formed a little O shape with her mouth. You grabbed the dangling collar and looked at it.

"Mittens" you read.

"Right! I'm a cat meow." she waved her hand in front of you like a paw.

You blushed.

"How cute." you blurted out.

She giggled while Mary became furious.

"I heard you were Mary's favorite pet before." Yumeko said.

"Yumeko!" another whine from that guy.

"Where did you hear that?" you side glanced at Mary. She wasn't looking at you.

"Suzui told me. Well now you aren't a pet anymore. That's amazing" she clapped her hand once and kept on smiling at you.

"Uh yeah. So what do you need from me? Normally other students wouldn't approach me because I'm lame and all that. Nobody wanted to get close to me even though I'm not a pet anymore." you said.

"That's not true. In fact I want to be your friend."

"Why?" you asked.

She tried to think for a minute.

"The truth is... I know someone that wants to befriend you but she's too shy to get close to you." she said and looked at Mary.

"Saotome? Hah! You must be joking! That girl hates me. She made my life miserable. Why would she be my friend?" you said harshly.

Mary's eye moistened and turned her back on you. Yumeko sat in the chair in front of you. She looked you straight in the eye and you feel yourself suffocating.

This feels so familiar somehow. you thought.

"Fine!" you looked away. "I can maybe squeeze some time to hang out with you once or twice a week."

"Great! Isn't that nice Mary?"

"I don't care." She said and walked away.

Kirari's gonna kill me. Kirari's gonna kill me now for sure. You can't stop thinking about the president.

You and Mary sat side by side. Suzui and Jabami, who is busy singing her heart out, sat on the other side. You were pulled by Jabami earlier to join them for a karaoke session.

"I never knew Jabami could sing." you tried to start a conversation with Mary.

"I didn't know either." she said.

"Yumeko! Call me Yumeko!" The other  girl told you while laughing.

Her face was red and she was smiling so much. You sneaked a peek at Mary and noticed her cheeks were red too.

"Are you drunk?" you asked.

"I'm not." she said.

"Drink up!!!!" Yumeko yelled.

"Yumeko stop it." Suzui is practically begging her to stop drinking.

"We aren't allowed to drink." you stated.

"Who cares!?  When you wear this uniform nobody would mess with you because they would think you're from a powerful family." Mary exclaimed.

"Ara, ara. Don't fight. Lovers shouldn't fight." Yumeko said and pointed at the two of you.

Yours and Mary's face was tinted red which made Yumeko giggle.

"Were.... not." Mary whispered.

She used her finger to play with her hair and avoided eye contact with you.

"Yeah. That's not gonna happen." you said.

Jabami stood up and dropped the microphone. It made a loud piercing noise. Suzui hastily grabbed it to make it stop.

"What's wrong with you!?" Mary said. while covering her ears.

Yumeko just smiled and walked towards you. She touched your shoulders and sat on your lap, straddling you. Everyone's eyes went wide. You feel your heart trying to get out of your chest. The nervousness you feel is killing you.

"It's alright. I know you were looking at it earlier. Let it all out. Take the risk. Now, lose yourself to this feeling." she said.

She grabbed your hand and guided it to her chest.

"Wha-" Mary was shocked.

Suzui dropped the mic again in astonishment but quickly retrieved it.

"Ahhhh" Yumeko moaned.

She looked you in the eye. You were lost. Her eyes shined a dangerous red. It reminded you so much of something. It reminded you where you belonged. Your breath hitched. In your vision, Yumeko's face changed. Her eyes turned blue.

"Kirari." you whispered.

"Huh?" Yumeko blinked.

Her intoxication seemed to disappear. She smiled at you and stood up.

"I see. You've been chained." she said.

A smirk was plastered on her lips. You have a bad feeling about this.

I'm really gonna die. you thought.
