24 Chapter Twenty Three : Eyes on her

The maids were not allowed to dress fancy at the ball. They were not even allowed to step on the main premises. We had only access till the corridor and the tables of the guests.

I was at the changing room that the maids used to rest in between their duties. I wasn't really into playing the maid role but I wanted to teach them a lesson. And for that I decided to attend the party.

"If I don't stop it, they will kill another alpha female tonight," I was talking to myself looking at the mirror. But I had nothing in my hands being a maid. "I have to do something but what?"

I looked at myself carefully in the mirror. I was looking even paler. I had gotten skinnier. After Edward's death I wasn't sure where my life was going. I never had a chance to face myself.
