27 Chapter Twenty Six : The night

The emperor was looking at me. I pushed him back slowly. He took a step back. I further pushed him and he kept moving backward until his back touched the piller. Amusement filled in his eyes, noticing my every action with curiosity.

I got closer to him. Our eyes met. I asked whispering, "You didn’t kill me after so many reckless things I did, guess you have some other plans. What is it?"

He only smirked. "Tomorrow, the war commander of south and your mate, I mean ex mate will be executed. You are welcomed to join the celebration," he said.

I was startled by his words for a moment. I moved back. Surely I wasn’t fond of Zen nor I had forgiven him for the wrongs he did to me. But I didn’t want him to die in this psychopath's hands. Besides he was the only one who could help me to get out of that mess.

"Why do you want to kill him? What connection do you have with Zen and Alex?" I asked.
