44 Ch 43 : Auction

A large hall. Ella was tied. She blinked a few times and slowly opened her eyes. It took a few seconds to adjust to the lighting of the hall. She was tied on a stage. Round tables were filled with people in front of that platform. The first row was still empty.

An auction table was set a few feet apart. Ella was tied there like an object displayed over the stage. She was not alone. Alex and the other wolves were also there tied. But they were unconscious. Ella tried to wake Alex up a few times. She even tried to connect to Alex's wolf by Lexa. But he was not responding.

The other wolves were in worse conditions. They were beaten badly. Contusions were visible all over their bodies. Barely any clothings were present on their bodies. Collars were placed on their necks. Their hands and feet were also tied.

Only Alex and Ella were intact, without any scars in their bodies.

"Is there nothing we can do?" Ella asked Lexa in her mind.
