8 Love Lies P.2

When Min Jun woke up in the morning, Mi Soo was in bed, fast asleep. Min Jun sat next to her in bed and gently caressed her head, moving his finger across her cheeks tucking the flowing hair strands behind her ear.

"Were you always this pretty?", he gently whispered in her ear.

"It tickles.", she giggled, opening her eyes and smiling.

"You seem happy, did you have a good dream?", he asked.

She nodded, "I am hungry, wash up than we'll have breakfast."

He nodded.

Min Jun went down first, But by the time Mi Soo went down, he was already gone. The breakfast untouched. His coat wrinkled, lying on the ground.

"Min Jun, where is he?", astonished she asked Ms. Yoo, who was pouring tea for her beforehand.

"He answered a call and rushed our without saying anything or having breakfast.", Ms. Yoo answered.

She clenched her fist. In the mean time, Baek ha arrived. Seeing her clenched fist, she asked,

"Is something wrong?"

"Baek Ha, bring my phone from my room.", she ordered without replying to her.

She sat down and after Baek ha handed her the phone, she scrolled through her phone and than turned to Baek Ha, who was standing next to her.

"Baek Ha, will you do me a favor?"

"Have I ever refused?", she replied.

"Go to Haenam Hospital, Min Jun is their, go to him and stay with him, don't tell him I sent you, where ever he goes, whatever he does, whoever he meets, whatever happens there, tell me. Your smart enough to analyze the situation so keep control of whatever happens there.", she pleaded.

"The hospital is on the other side of town it'll take an hour or more, and we have a meeting to attend in 45 minutes.", she justified.

"Go to HELL WITH THE MEETING! Just do as I say.", she rebuked.

She took a deep breath, "please, you have had my back for so many years so do it once more.", she politely continued.

"Fine. I'll leave now.", her eyes frowned as she agreed and left.

Mi Soo anxiously went to work.

Beak ha reached the hospital, and after roaming around she found Min Jun standing outside of a hospital ward, talking to an aged couple. He hugged the crying woman when he caught a glimpse of Baek Ha. Baek Ha realized that he saw her and moved towards him.

"Min Jun-ssi. What a coincidence? What are you doing here?", she pretended.

"I? I was just? Actually, my friend was in an accident last night. She was in critical condition so I came to see her. But what are you doing here? Baek Ha-ssi?", he responded.

"An employee of our company is admitted here, so I came to give him flowers from the company.", she replied.

A police officer arrived and asked the man, "If your daughter is awake, we would like record her statement."

"Yes, sure. she woke up a few minutes ago." They were going inside the ward, when Baek Ha asked Min Jun, "Min Jun-ssi, would it be fine if I come in as well, so that I can wish her health and a speedy recover?"

Min Jun hesitated, bit his lip but than he couldn't refuse.

"Nam Soo Ah-ssi, I want you tell us, exactly what happened last night? I mean like as much as you saw.", the officer inquired. Soo Ah, laid on the hospital bed, with bandages around her head, a scratch on her right cheek and a plaster around her left leg.

"It was dark, so I couldn't see anything but I was walking home from work, when someone hit my head from the back. It was so hard that for a while everything went black, I fell on the ground and that person hit my leg. After that I lost consciousness.", she described.

"Did you see anything else? Like for instance, the height? face? clothes? Anything. Because or else it will be very difficult to find the person because their were no CCTV cameras in that lane.", the officer hoped for more details.

"I did see something but I am not sure it would be of help or not.It was a baseball bat. The weapon used. When the person was standing I tried to grab the bat, but I couldn't so I saw that it was a dark blue baseball bat, with white stripes, and it had some sort signature in white. That's all I could see." She said.

Baek Ha heard everything and for some reason she was flustered. She looked at Min Jun and hurriedly left after saying, "Min Jun-ssi, I have somewhere urgent to go. So I'll leave first.

Baek Ha, drove as fast as she could.
