10 Her Fault

The phone kept ringing until it was answered by a familiar voice.

"Maria? The last person I expected yo call me ever was you. By any chance did the sun rise from the opposite pole today?", answered a rusty voice.

" Grand Uncle, this is not the time to joke. I need....umm..something from you.", Maria hesitated.

"U need something from me?!? How shocking!", he chuckled over the phone.

" Must kidding, tell me what do you need. After I am the only adult around you, my poor child. So go on." He continued, in a boastful tone.

"I need a.. Umm.. A fav..favo..favor. Of course I won't ask you to do it for free. For everything you get, you need to give something in return. So. I 'do it. You asked me to join your political party as a candidate right. So I'll do it." She reluctantly said.

"Seriously?! I should be happy but you are making me worry. Like how important is this favour that your willing to do something you would never?", he wondered.

" Because I have already done something I would never, so I wouldn't mind expanding the list. I explain the rest when we meet face to face." She blankly said.

The call ended.

A few days later.

Min Jun secretly visited Soo Ah, in the hospital just like the past few days.

He sat outside her ward, along with her father, when her father received a call from the police station as was asked to come their.

He rushed and Min Jun tagged along.

upon reaching the station, the officer said, "I called you here, because we caught the culprit. He in the cell, wait a minute, I'll just complete a bit of my work than take you to his cell.", the officer uttered non seriously, staring at a file. They waited for a while than, followed the officer to the cell.

The moment they saw the culprit, both of them were astonished to see the unfamiliar face. It was a man in his with early fourties. Wearing a black hoddie, black eyes and boots.

Min Jun lost it, and he extended his arms through the bars, and grabbed the man's collar,

" You disgusting man, how could you do something like this to someone so innocent.", he rebuked.

"Innocent, my foot.", he said with a straight face, pissing Min Jun.

Before Min Jun could harm him, the officers pulled him back, and as he was being pulled by the officer, the guy stared him in the eye and smirked.

As the officers calmed Min Jun down, Soo Ah's father, concerned asked the officer, " Are you sure, he was the one. Because I we don't know him, and I am pretty sure he doesn't have any relation or connection with so why would he do something like this?"

The officer interrupted, " I don't know about you but your daughter knows him and so does he!".

"What! I can assure you that Soo Ah could never have a connection with such a man", Min Jun rebuked.

The officer glared at him,

" But the evidence he provided tell a different story. Your daughter had some sort of personal relation with him. ".

" What bullshit is this!", Min Jun screamed.

"Keep your voice low, this is a station not your house.", the officer warned.

" Ms. Soo Ah apparently trapped him and ran off with his money. So that night he was drunk and he saw her he couldn't resist his urge to take revenge.", the officer continued.

"How can you believe what this criminal said?! Does he have any evidence?", her father inquired.

" I am not believing him but the facts. See, (he showed Soo Ah's personal business card, with her contact details) she gave him this card and looks at the back she even write her personal number, tell me is this number not hers? And not just this he showed us his call logs, it proved that he had long conversations with her. And if this isn't enough. Look (he showed pictures of Soo Ah) You said that she doesn't use social media so where did he get these pictures from? Huh? Its only possible if she sent him those pictures. ", he clarified.

" Reallty? Than can you show us the call log? And why didn't Soo Ah mention him as a suspect if she really took his money? Huh?", Min Jun questioned.

"Excuse me, but who are you? ( Min Jun was shocked at the sudden question) because you aren't her brother, husband, boyfriend, and if your really just a friend that you should be butting in because your really getting on my nerves from day one. And No, I can't you show you the call log because it's a matter of his privacy. And yes his privacy is important because it can be used as an evidence against her when he sues her, because right now we aren't sure who's the victim and who's the culprit here. And as far not mentioning him as a suspect is concerned, why would she, when she knows that anything she says can be used against her in the court."

Her father fell on the ground. And Min Jun tried to support him.

The officer didn't budge, and than went back to work after saying,

"Since your daughter is the potential culprit here, why don't we wrap up things quietly and I'll try to convince this guy not to file a law suit and settle things peaceful. Fine?."

Min Jun was raged, and sad, just by thinking that Soo Ah did all this. He left the station without her father.
