5 The Invite

Adam invited us to his twin baby’s birthday which was today and I can’t wait to see Adam and his sweet family. By the way, Adam and I also evolved to being close friends. In fact, he knows me more than Ethan does but there’s no emotional links between us. We’re just close friends. When Ethan is being a problem in the ass, Adam always helps me out with him.

However, Ethan is not so much happy about it. He says I shouldn’t be close to other guys as long as I’m married to him. Of course, I don’t tell Adam about our marital problems, but it seems Ethan just hell bent about making me a sadist by trying to push all my friends away from me. All this just started about ten years ago when the heart breaking incident happened. That seemed to tear not only our individual lives apart but our peaceful marriage too.

I’m dressed in an all-white knee-length dress that has lace around my neck and limbs area. My chosen shoe is one of the shoes Olivia gifted me for my birthday last year. Olivia is my female best friend and doctor. All of a sudden, I feel the urge to cough another dry cough for the fifth time again today.

I already bought the drugs I needed and I’ve started using them so I don’t know why I’m still having these symptoms. I have to remember to book an appointment with Olivia, the perks of having a doctor as a friend. Ethan calls everyone as he was getting quite impatient and we all rush to the family car he happened to have pulled up in front of the front door.

The car ride was partly silent and I could feel the tension between my son and Ethan. My little girl who’s eight years of age, Mia, doesn’t notice the tension and she keeps asking Ethan questions that little kids ask and I can’t help but smile at how they both are acting sweet.

We reach there in no time and both my kids jump out of the car to meet up with their friends and before I can open my car door, Ethan grabs my other hand in a tight grip, “Behave yourself out there, you don’t want your amazing best friend to know how sour your marriage has become do you?” He says with a gruff voice and a terrifying tone. To avoid unnecessary drama, I nod my head and he releases my hand. I get out of the car and rest on the side of the car and out of the corner of my eyes I see Ethan walking up to me. He puts his hand around my waist and he roughly pulls me to him and we both force big smiles on our faces, him more than me.

Let’s see how this will go.
