1 Chapter 1: Boring days

The sky is green. As usual, we just do what we are called for. Citizens must attend a lottery each month. Today is that day. Today's number is 5559611347. Anyone has this number must come to the main hall.

I heard that if someone gets lucky, chances are that they can go outside to see lots more people out there. But today is not my day huh?

In here, everyday, we receive a ration from our delivery men. The meat comes once a week so we appreciate it. Breads and crackers are just staple for our daily meals.

What we must work is that we must tend those plants and draw water from underground. At night, there is nothing much to do. Electric here is limited so we can only get lighting.

Things that I like to do is just planning what comes next. But it is kind of pointless when every day is the same until that lottery day.

I wish, just a wish that I can win a lottery to see what is out there.

Beyond the wall.

The days pass by are just the same. Tending plants and drawing water.

Then medical test day.

Apparently, I don't have any kind of cancer or otherwise, I won't be able to attend that lottery.

Come on, It is just reading my number so my life is fulfilled before I die of old age like others.

I heard that those people would just get to the disposal facility.

That would be very boring eh?

Then one day, the number is 4777866692.

It is my number

Today is my lucky day.

I rush back to my home, gather my belongings. Clothes, money and a book, which is small enough to fit in my pocket.

Goodbye boring days

Hello New World

I can't wait to see the landscape.

I have read about seas and lands.

Maybe they were just a bit wrong about the sky. It wasn't supposed to be blue to begin with

But who would mind the sky is blue or green?

I am gonna get to see what is beyond this wall

"Are you 4777866692's owner?"

"Yes, and my name is Mike Alkson"

"Mr. Alkson, please put your belongings on the tray and we will deliver it to you while you are on the train."

"Can I keep my book with me?"

"Certainly, reading is good."

I get on the train.

Along with other few hundreds.

"All guest must stay on your seat and we will get to next destination, please sit back and rest."

The announcer is nice, isn't she?

Well. I think I should get some sleep, it is kinda late when we are on the train.

I think I hear something.

Some kind of stabbing.

There is another.

Another.

It is too dark too see

Maybe, just maybe, they are just ticket stubbing
