I was standing in front of a large grey door. After Kiki had hacked into the control system, We'd found out some rather disturbing information. This entire structure was a large bio-tech starship that had crashed here on earth roughly 500 years ago, the reveal sounded like a cheesy sci-fi movie plot and that was not even the disturbing part. Turns out, the ship was used to transport notorious alien prisoners to a mining planet 200 light years away from the earth.

I scratched my chin in thought. The logical step to take would be to destroy the ship completely to avoid any unforeseen situations from happening. Chances are that some of the prisoners could have survived for all those years locked in the cryogenic sleep chambers located in the prison section of the ship. I did not want to take the risk of letting space criminals loose on the world. On another note, the technology! the tech on this baby was incredible, enough to advance humanity by half a century.

"Kiki, do you think you can copy the information contained in the ship's mainframe? Oh and include the layout of the ship too"

(Affirmative.)

2 hours later I had scoured the entire spaceship. Luckily the prison section of the spaceship had a mechanism that ensured the death of all the captives in case of any critical malfunctioning befalling the ship. Of course the protocols put in place were more complex than that but despite the good news, I was disturbed by something else. The escape pods were missing.

This was bad. The likely assumption was that the crew of the ship, which was at most 4 due to the fact that a biotech spaceship was easier to navigate and maintain than a normal one, had escaped before it had crash landed on the planet, the unlikely assumption however meant that they'd escaped right after the spaceship had crossed the earth's atmosphere and landed safely on other parts of the world. Kiki told me it was almost impossible to verify the locations though. This was a headache I did not need. I did some more exploring before calling it a day.

After spending a couple more hours on the ship I decided to leave. Right after stepping off it, my phone showed me I had a lot of missed calls from my family.

Mom was pretty mad I was nowhere to be found and I cursed myself for worrying them.

"I'm going to be soo grounded. It was worth it though...now I just need to cloak this area in an illusion."

I already had a sample of the crystals I needed. All that was left was to expose the other 3 to its effects and voila I would have my own superhero team but before that, I wanted to turn the ship into my own secret lair.

Things were finally picking up. I allowed myself a smile and proceeded to go home.

A vortex appeared in the outer space overlooking a blue planet. 2 figures, one dressed in a grey robe and the other a futuristic power armor stepped out.

The armor itself was blue with golden highlights, it's form was slender and female, covering the figure entirely leaving only the upper section of the head where blonde hair spilled out to the small of the back.

The grey robed figure, in complete opposite to its individual had the robes billowing out and baggy. The only distinction to the gender of the figure was the long full beard and bald head.

" so this is earth in the 21st century huh? unimpressive. "

The power armor figure said in a slightly mechanical voice.

The robed figure nodded sagely and said,

" The waves of mana from the planet are almost non existent. Gaea has grown weaker..."

" Hahaha, mana? don't make me laugh, Merlin, in my time we broke the secret to your little magic tricks, what you call mana is actually esoteric energy left behind by the black hole explosion during the big bang. its what enables the universe to expand infinitely."

" Young people are always quick to shut down the mystic. I'm sad to see that even in the future that hasn't changed. However, Warmaster, we're not here to discuss who's right or wrong, we have a mission to complete."

Warmaster snorted but nodded, while bringing out a holographic image of the earth, on the back of her wrist.

"I have traced the signal to the whereabouts of the anomaly to these locations. I'm going to deploy my Warband drones to pinpoint the correct locations."

After saying that, 2 grey soccer-ball sized spheres dropped from her back. The spheres then divided themselves into dozens and shot towards the planet.

They scanned the locations through filtering out the general frequency emmited by every human being on the planet, leaving a blank spot by a signature that by all indications was human.

Warmaster smiled under her armor,

"Got you."
