When Cora and Erica entered his class later that day in foul moods after learning Boyd was suspended for over a week. Nevan decided to mess with them a bit more, much to their dismay.

Not caring how unpopular it made him, he made sure to call on them to answer questions. Pushing their buttons as best he could, trying to get a reaction out of them, maybe send one of them over the edge and have them wolf out in the room, but no, nothing came of it.

If anything, it looked like he was kicking a dog while it was already down, leaving a sour taste in his mouth.

He should have figured they wouldn't dare show any discontent towards him after all he did for them.

Which is why he wanted to go incognito. Looking back he should have just mind-wiped them of the event and then he could have had all the fun he wanted.

When the bell rang, he got a few nasty looks from students on their way out, mostly boys who wished to play the white knight.

Surprisingly or rather annoyingly, Cora and Erica hung back to talk to him privately.

"Yes?" Asked Nevan in a bored tone.

Cora bent her head down and immediately apologized,- "I'm very sorry we told our Alpha about you without your permission, please forgive us." Thinking that maybe this was the reason he was mad, that somehow he found out and wished to punish them.

Slowly looking up, she was met with the same bored look, somewhat confusing her.

Fidgeting uncomfortably Cora went on to ask,- "If you would allow it, he is very interested in meeting you."

"Is that right? (They nod), Okay, I've been meaning to get around to it, I suppose I could do it now, after school of course, still need to keep up appearances for now," said Nevan nonchalantly.

Their faces visibly brighten, thanking him again on their way out with Cora not believing her luck. Thinking maybe, just maybe she could still get him to train her.

After school, during practice, Isaac, no longer willing to standby, convinces Scott to help him get revenge for Boyd, spending the rest of the day brainstorming ideas along with Stiles.

On the other hand, Rebekah invites Allison and Lydia out for a spin in her freshly repaired car with a bit of shopping on the side which they happily accept. Lydia did her best to set her growing jealousy aside and enjoy the moment but seeing Allison sitting up front happily talking with her made the feeling fester.

Meanwhile, Nevan's curiosity was somewhat piqued at who this new Alpha was. Out of everyone he's met or heard about, this one had the greatest potential. A possible true heir to Talia. Someone who not only won the family's power back but exacted sweet revenge on the one who took it in the first place.

Zooming over, he appears in front of their downtown loft apartment. A spacious lair with exposed brickwork and large arched windows.

Entering he makes his presence known. Cora appears, inviting him into a sparsely furnished open floor area where Erica and Boyd are seen off to the left-hand side sitting on a couch between two pillars. Watching as he approaches their Alpha who stands there in front of a desk that sits in front of a great big arched window trying to look intimidating while paying very close attention to him.

"Derek meet Nevan, Nevan meet Derek, my brother, and my Alpha," said Cora before taking her place by Boyd and Erica. Hoping her brother listens to the vital warnings she gave him beforehand.

Nevan holds out a hand stopping Derek who was about to speak,- "Before we start, I'd like to invite the one skulking in the shadows to come out and introduce yourself."

Peter walks into view. A handsome, muscular man of medium stature with brown hair, blue eyes, and lightly tanned skin. A sophisticated man who often wears well-tailored jeans and blazers with henleys or v-neck t-shirts, the latter of which has gained him the nickname "Satan in a V-Neck." Often has a goatee or facial scruff and has taken to wearing his hair smoothed back in an elegant style. He appears to be in his mid-late 30s due to Werewolf longevity, but according to his hospital records, he's actually in his 40s.

The minute Peter shows himself, Nevan's face drops into an ugly scowl. Whatever small hope he had for Derek being something more was immediately dashed.

Peter strode in full of confidence,- "It seem..." only to instantly get interrupted.

Before anyone could react, Nevan instantly flashed in front of Peter grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground.

"Agh," Peter struggles, wolfing out with blue eyes, trying to tear himself free.

Cora shoots up angrily, shouting,- "Nevan! What are you doing!?" She asked, wondering why Nevan was attacking her uncle.

While Derek wolfed out with red glowing eyes, yelling,- "Drop him now!"

Boyd and Erica, unsure what to do also stood up tensely.

Nevan scoffed,- "I don't know why I would expect any different, this really is the worst generation."

"I said let him go now!" Yelled Derek charging him.

Cora shouted,- "No Derek!'

Her warning falling on deaf ears, Derek readied a strike only for an immense pressure to drop him to his knees, giving a grimace of pain as his hands then caught him from being laid out flat.

Cora looked concerned for her brother, and uncle, asking,- "Why?"

Nevan turned with Peter still struggling in his grasp,- "You ask me why? Perhaps you should ask him," he said indicating her brother.

"What's he talking about Derek?" Asked Cora.

Feeling the weight lift off him, Derek climbed back to his feet, panting,- "I don't know," he said shaking his head,- "You brought him here, you tell us why he's doing this."

Nevan sneered,- "You think I can't tell, I don't know how you managed to get most of the power back without killing him but to think you would choose to leave a bit behind to allow this filth to live."

"What!?" Asked Derek not realizing Peter still held some of his Alpha's power.

"I don't understand, why are you attacking our uncle? Weren't you close or something to my mother?" Asked a confused Cora.

Nevan grinned,- "When did I say that?"

Cora's face fell as she recalled he never actually answered any of her questions, and she only assumed such because of him bringing it up and their wolf forms.

"Now you said something earlier that was quite interesting, you referred to this one as uncle?" Asked Nevan.

Cora slowly nodded.

Nevan eyes shot dangerously to Derek who flinched,- "Then let me ask you, why wouldn't I kill a traitorous cur like this?"

"What do you mean?" Asked a very confused Cora.

Grip tightening, Peter began desperately gasping for breath.

The minute Cora and Derek tried to make a move, Nevan put pressure on both of them preventing them from moving.

Cora begged for mercy,- "Please."

Nevan relaxed his grip and pressure,- "Try and Keep up Cora, I said this traitorous fool still had a bit of the Alpha power in him, care to guess how that's possible?" He asked.

The wheels in her head started to work overtime as Cora turned to her brother,- "Derek?"

Realizing everything his sister told him was likely true about this guy, Derek came clean,- "It's true, I killed him to get the Alpha power."

"Clearly you didn't do a good job," snorted Nevan.

"I don't understand? Why would you try and kill him Derek, if he was the Alpha?" Asked Cora.

Derek lowered his voice,- "He stole it from our sister Laura," he said sadly.

"What? No, you lie!" Cora screeched, tears welling up, unable to believe her sister was still alive and yet was ultimately killed by her uncle.

"So let's get everything straight, this one here, Peter," Nevan says stressing the name with disgust evident in his voice,- "Is taken in by Talia, bless her soul, adopting him as her brother no less, something I can't quite believe, and this shit bag actually has the gall to kill her daughter, a girl he likely grew up with, for Talia's power, and then later Derek here discovers this and fights to get it back, but for some shit reason, decides to let him live even after knowing what he did to his sister, is that about right?" Asked Nevan sharply.

"Wait, what do you mean adopted?" Asked Derek.

"Is that all you have to say?" Asked Nevan pointedly, causing Derek to shrink back.

Coming across Cora's tear-filled eyes looking up at him, he sighed,- "Yes, Peter is obviously adopted, I have known Talia for a very long time, in fact, she was part of my pack, we go back, far back, even before this town even existed."

"Impossible, werewolves don't live that much longer than humans," Derek pointed out.

Nevan sighed,- "I guess Talia held off too long before telling you, but yes, the newer generations of werewolves are not much better than humans, but I and Talia come from a generation where werewolves could out compete vampires, it's only recently that things were flipped on there head and our kind degraded to such a point but seeing as you are a descendant of Talia, you'll likely live far past anyone you know."

This stunned everyone into silence, having no reason to doubt him given his overwhelming abilities.

Cora not paying attention to any of that was looking at Peter with hate-filled eyes,- "Adopted." She said through gritted teeth.

Nevan confirmed once again,- "Yes, I wonder if that makes it better or worst, killing a family member who welcomed you with open arms when your own didn't," he spat in outrage.

Peter wished to defend himself, but Nevan's tight grip prevented him from saying anything as he dangled helplessly in his grasp.

Cora wolfed out, wishing to kill him with her own two hands, only for the pressure to return, preventing her from moving.

"Let Me Go! Let Me Kill Him!" Cora growled.

Nevan sighed,- "I wish I could let you, but your sad excuse of a brother needs to in order to not let Talia's legacy die."

He then sticks Peter in front of Derek, ordering him to,- "Finish him."

Derek raises his claw, hesitating when his eyes meet Peter's which were filled with pure terror.

"That wasn't a request, Finish Him Now!" commanded Nevan, pressuring him to comply,- "I will not allow Talia's legacy to die here, do not dare dishonor your mother's memory."

The look on Cora's face, the memories of his late sister, and his desire to be an Alpha, to acquire his mother's complete legacy were all the push Derek needed as he pierced through Peter's chest, reclaiming the last bit of Alpha power. Howling in anger and sadness right as Nevan drops Peter's body, and backhands him to the ground,- "Shut your mouth. How dare you howl in my presence after that pathetic display. I can't believe you're what's left of Talia. I would really like to have your sister kill you and take over, but I think that would be too much for her, so I'll be taking her under my wing."

Cora, who was still staring angrily at the body, perked up while Derek got back up wiping blood from his mouth, and argued,- "No, I didn't know Peter was adopted otherwise things would have been different, she's a part of my pack, my family, I'll take care of her."

"Your excuse is as weak as is your promise. I wouldn't be surprised if you made the same promise to Laura, and look where that got her. Come on Cora, it's time to go, we're done here," said Nevan holding out his hand, pleased to see that finally shut Derek up. Deciding that he did need to train Cora and make sure at least one of Talia's remaining kids turned out right.

Sadly the moment wasn't anything like she hoped it would be when he finally agreed to train her.

Cora looked around one last time at Boyd and Erica who she met during a really rough time but found out they were only there for being cowards, and at a very mournful Derek who wished for nothing more than to apologize and have everything go back to when they were a loving happy family but let her sisters killer live.

Seeing nothing more for her here, she took his hand,- "I'm ready," and off they zoomed.
