It was probably some kind of mind control as well, but involved reality bending alongside the mind control. In some form or fashion.

Tristan was not an expert with this kind of shit, he barely knew things about abilities, much less this weird system. Where this system came from, he has no idea.

But if the system gives him a chance to become powerful, he will definitely take it! The world is his oyster, he will become god!

The system was extremely powerful, with it no one can stand in his way!

As he was hyping himself up the door opened, and the person who opened it was an old man.

He was wearing a black tuxedo, his gray hair was neatly combed back into a ponytail, and his face had a full beard that was the same color of his hair. Overall this man gave off the feeling of being a dignified and brave warrior.

Comparing this man to Tristan was like comparing Diamonds to a limp dick. With erectile dysfunction.

The man moved his sword shaped eyes over Tristan, and Tristan almost shivered. But the system gave him courage, who knows how long it'll take for him to surpass this man, but in the end he will surpass him! No matter how long it takes.

The man gave a small bow before moving towards his bed, he opened his mouth before Tristan could say anything.

"The Liang family offers its apologies, our young miss has caused an inconvenience to you. You will be fairly compensated for the actions that happened. Please put it out of your mind."

Saying that, the butler gave a low bow, and awaited his answer with eyes that offered a clear warning.

'This geezer is so insincere, but I guess I can't expect the top dog to come apologize, I'm not that important. Yet.' Tristan used his improved intelligence to differ the meaning behind the old geezer's words.

'Either forget it, and live happily, or you die.' It was as simple as that. He didn't mention what kind of compensation they were offering, which was a clear negotiating tactic. They expected him to ask for a small amount due to his age. If they were to offer a large amount from the very start, a kid like him would get greedy.

There were two paths he could take. He could display his intelligence as an adult, but this would probably result in suspicion. Most kids aren't as mature as an adult, after all. This suspicion could turn into an investigation, and a rich family that could afford such a comfortable bed surely had an amazing information network. If he took his losses now, and avoided suspicion it was much more worth it than risking exposure.

If he was exposed as an adult, he would be in some real trouble. He fucked their young miss, and it could be seen as him taking advantage of their young miss, instead of the other way around. The strong ruled and the weak suffered.

He could not risk being exposed. So he would accept a small reward.

With the system, he could easily get rich. Offending this family for a small reward in the short term was not worth it.

Of course there's a chance that he was already exposed, and this was some sort of test. It could be entirely possible, but he could only hope that wasn't the case.

Why would a rich and influential clan spend resources on investigating a random child? His clothes were rather ordinary, and he wasn't wearing any sort of member sigil that signified him as being a hunter or a clan member, so it was clear that he was not a part of any large clan or anything. And the chances of him being an S tier ability user was even lower.

But this was just a theory, a game theory!
