30 Time To Choose

A few hours later, classes ended. Ms. Williams packed her things and went to the faculty. She saw many teachers ready for the gathering. She checked her class log and looked for his dorm room. When she found it, Aria left the faculty office.

'I wonder what my students will think. Oh well, I have a viable reason,' she thought.

She hurriedly walked over to the block and went up the stairs. Luckily, there wasn't anyone. She finally got to his room and knocked on the door.

Travis was awoken by the knock. He got up and went to the door, checking who it was first before he opened. When he saw who it was, Travis smiled.

'She finally came.'

He fixed himself then opened the door.

"Ms. Williams, may I help you with anything?" He asked coldly.

She immediately gave him a bright smile as she said, "Um, could you let me in? I don't want anyone starting up bad rumors," she said.

He let her in and stood by the door as she stood a few meters away from him. Looking around his room, she said, "Quite a clean dorm you have. I remember I used to have my stuff laying everywhere, hahah," she said, laughing awkwardly.

Travis didn't seem to find her words amusing in any way. "What can I help you with?" He asked.

"Oh well, it's about what happened a few days before. I responded in an unkind manner. I would like to apologize," she said sincerely.

"Yeah, and?"

"Umm, I'd like to make it up to you. How about you and I go and have something to eat?" She said.

'Man, this was easy,' he thought.

Travis's expression slowly returned to a warm one, which made her feel better.

"Sure. Where, though? I mean, you and I are teacher and student."

"Oh yeah. Let's just order something from a drive-through and eat in the car. You'll find me in the parking lot. It would be suspicious if I left the dorm with you," she said as she walked to the door. Travis opened it for her and watched as she walked out.

"I'll see you there then."

She nodded then walked away. He closed the door and smiled from ear to ear as he basked in his genius.

'Now all I have to do is make her turn into something, not sure what but time will tell,' he thought. He got some shoes then left the apartment.

He went to the parking lot, which was very empty, so he easily spotted her car. Stepping inside, Travis gave her a short compliment of her car, which made her smile.

They exited the school premises in their car, heading towards a nearby fast-food establishment with a convenient drive-through. Locating one without much difficulty, they proceeded to place an order for some delightful ice cream.

"Tell me, how did you meet Mr. Williams? I've always been curious about that since you told me," he inquired.

"We met at a teachers' gathering. After that, we started chatting till we decided to date like a year ago," she explained.

'Oh, so she wants us to be friends. This makes things even more easy,' he thought.

"That's nice. Got any relationship advice for me?" He asked.

"No, can't say I have any. I mean, before him, I won't say I've ever dated anyone seriously," she said.

"Really? You probably had a lot of guys chasing you, huh."

"Not really, I've never been open either. Always shut in until I got this job. Most guys were too terrified to even approach me."

"That's hard to believe."

"I know, right? Here let me show you a picture." She pulled out her phone and showed Travis a picture of what she looked like a few years ago. He was pretty surprised.

"Wow, you really changed a lot. What made you change?" He asked.

"I needed this job, so I had to sacrifice my real self to fit into this job's requirements."

They continued to speak, while they did that.

Katie got ready to meet Paul at his dorm. She was currently in the bathroom laid inside the water.

'It's been a while since I've spoken to him. Will it be awkward? I can't tell really, maybe I should just talk about what we would normally speak about,' she thought.

When she finished with her bath, she walked out and got dressed. Paul said she could come at 7 PM; she had an hour to go, so she sat on her bed thinking about the date, well more accurately Travis.

She couldn't take him out her mind. Besides the sex and everything he genuinely made her happy, especially since they're best friends. She felt guilty that she was going to spend time with Paul, it was if she was cheating on him.

As the time passed, she finally got up and left her dorm. The walk towards the dorm room was long and filled with contempt; she finally got to his dorm. Knocking on the door, Paul opened it with a smile, letting her in.

She sat down on the couch as she looked around, she felt like this was her first time here, but she knew very well that it wasn't.

"I'm glad you could make it. Um why don't we catch up with each other," he said.

"Sure. What do you wanna talk about?" She asked in response.

"Well, anything. How's your studies so far?" Paul asked.

"Um pretty great I guess. Even though I'm having a tough time with Math. But other than that I'm cool. What about you?"

"I can't really wrap my mind around this one subject. But it's not a matter, um did you hear anything from Travis?"

"About?"

"Anything really. He's normally back by now," He said.

"Oh, well we haven't spoken that much today. How's your mom though?"

"She's fine. Still active as always, I'm thinking of going there tomorrow. Wanna come with?" He asked.

"Well, I'm not sure if I can go. I mean, are we even still dating?"

"Are we not?"

"I don't know. I think I kinda like Travis now. But I'm not sure. It's just, I not very good with love, I'm sure you understand that," She said.

Paul nodded, he had to admit, it kinda hurt hearing her saying that. But, more importantly he started to feel aroused.

"So you fell for him? I means it's not surprising he is a pretty cool guy. And honestly, I kinda feel jealous that he's able to make you feel that way without doing much."

Before she could answer, she received a text. Opening her phone she saw who had texted her. It was Travis.

Travis: It looks like you're having fun.

She froze as she looked around, 'He's here. What should I do?' She thought.

Travis: If you want real fun, you should come out and I'll show you.
