17 Fighting The Dungeon's Boss Monster - Part 2

Two small, so embarrassing, damages appeared above that monster's head. The shock wave of its charge alone was enough to make Bloom feel the pressure already, but the game setting was invincible, so he continued his move, while his other sword started his barrage of attacks.

Just as the monster was about to turn to face him, Bloom linked his attacks with his chain skill.

"Slice."

His second slice was done by his free sword, as the other one was pulled away from the monster's thick skin. Bloom's body followed the course of the skill, circling around the monster, while keeping the free sword stabbing its body.

Like this, he had established the fighting style against this monster, cornering him in an inescapable position. The monster couldn't break free from this barrage of his attacks, as he always linked one slice by another, so basically he was moved and controlled by the laws of the game.

At the same time, other players started to hit the monster, with much smaller damages that made Bloom's look like a giant to them!

The highest of them didn't exceed fifteen, which seemed like pity values, compared with this monster's thick blood.

The fight continued, and the monster got tired from chasing Bloom, without being able to hit him, or even block one of his brilliantly controlled attacks. So, it ignored him, and started to focus on everyone else.

"Peri, ready to heal me!"

The moment the monster was about to hit another swordsman with its spear, Bloom adjusted his body, and stood between the player and the monster.

He never let the monster's movement skip his attention, so when the monster decided to ignore him, he decided to force himself upon him!

"Ground breaker."

Bloom's back was directed to the monster, and when he used his skill, the sword moved in a flash to clash with the tip of the spear, making it deviate from its original course, to hit the ground heavily, stuck into it.

It all happened at a mere second, but the skillful timing of Peri's usage of her healing skills made Bloom's Hp fluctuate from the high top, to the low bottom, then finally rise to stabilize above half of his Hp.

Peri didn't stop at using her first skill, as she added another, weaker but longer, skill, pushing Bloom's Hp up to be in a secure range.

"Hurry and attack it, before it pulls the spear."

Bloom shouted at everyone, as the monster was now weaponless for a few precious seconds. Bloom darted at the monster, using his barrage of skills, taking out one hundred and fifty Hp, before the monster picked up his weapon, raising it to the ceiling, while roaring, violently, out loud.

"Retreat, stay away from the boss! All shield bearers follow the monster and defend against its attacks!"

Bloom shouted, in a hurry, warning everyone, to retreat. The first five minutes just passed, and they couldn't take twenty percent of that monster's Hp yet, and now the monster was going to use its first AOE skill.

At once, a storm suddenly raged the whole hall, centered around the spear, radiating everywhere, penetrating anything, shield, armor, or even weapons.

Nothing could protect them against this merciless skill. Once Bloom got him, he hurriedly opened his character profile, examined his three skills to find them in forced cooldown.

Just one second and he could use his stab, three seconds to use a slice and ground breaker. As for others, he was sure they wouldn't adapt to the situation perfectly as him.

Three seconds, all he needed was three seconds! He ordered everyone to retreat, but he stayed close to the boss, intending to show this werewolf what fighting a sword saint like him would feel like!

The first second passed as the monster ended its skill, lowered its spear, and eyed everyone in a smirking look, like a predator eyeing its poor prey.

The next second it moved at a great speed, targeting the only player here that greatly annoyed him, Bloom.

As everyone realized what Bloom was doing, they also noticed something strange, he had sheathed all his weapons, standing defenseless, welcoming the incoming spear, like he was ready to be killed.

"Bloom! Run!" Peri shouted, with strange bitterness in her heart, as she tried to use her skills, but she couldn't. her eyes were already reddened, watching the spear plunging into the body of Bloom, knocking it away towards the nearby rocky wall, slamming it hard before falling on the ground, rolling for a couple of meters before ceasing to move.

"What have you done?!!" Peri couldn't control her emotions, as she knew Bloom sacrificed himself for saving them. just as she was about to even cry, a number, green number, rose above his head.

He was alive! She even screamed out of joy, without knowing what exactly happened.

"I didn't know you like me this much already," Bloom said, with a smile over his face, as he stood straight, unsheathing his two swords from their scabbards, while glancing at the monster with no fear at all.

Bloom wasn't suicidal, as he decided to take the first hit, wasting these precious seconds, letting his main skills, and everyone's else skills, to reactivate.

To do so, he simply used an Hp potion, which he couldn't use with weapons in hand, so he sheathed them, took a bottle out, and gulped it at the moment his body was sent flying.

The damage he took was massive, seventy points, nearly emptying all his Hp, but after he took the potion, this loss seemed meaningless, especially when his two main skills were ready to be used.

"Let's get round two started, shall we?!" he sneered, as the monster saw him standing, with no damage at all, feeling so much irritated that his pitiful prey wasn't dead yet, so it roared.
