Ch 4 : Bloody Wedding

Now a psychiatrist might say that I'm unable to feel love, or any positive emotions but I would beg to differ, because I have felt love. And you can't say I don't know what that would feel like, I do because of my last life, before my mind was irreversibly changed for better or worse due to my rebirth.

I know that Roni loves me and that I love her, so much so that she is all I can think about as I look at her, in her beautiful white dress, we're across from each other at the altar, standing in-front of all our friend and family with smiles on our faces.

James is standing behind me, acting as my best man, one reason is because Roni would be mad at me if he wasn't and second is because he is basically the only good friend I have, not the other more fake friends that I make and keep up for appearances, so that I look more normal.

Because even though I'm different to the original Dexter I still have the urges to slit peoples throat's without a second of warning, bathing in their warm blood ... Stop thinking about that Dexter, you're currently getting married, you should be thinking about your soon to be future wife not bathing in blood to release stress.

While I was day dreaming the officiant was reading out the vows and it was coming to my turn to speak.

"...for as long as you both shall live?" He asked me as I tightened my the hand that was currently holding my wife to be's hand, squeezing it to show a bit of affection as I know she liked little show like that, not to say she didn't like the big shows as well, like the time I got a giant bouquet delivered to her office desk on a valentines day that I was away on a mission.

"I do." I smiled at her, she returned an equally large smile back to me, she was kind like that, a smile from her made the urges quite and not scream so loud and replaced with her joyful voice.

Almost, it made it almost completely quite in the back on my mind but that didn't mean it wasn't there, it was, and it liked to rear it's head whenever I wasn't paying attention to keep a normal face a outwards appearance.

"I do." That did it, no more voice.

"You may now kiss the bride." The officiant said to me with a happy smile on her face.

Cheers broke out from the crowd as I took my wife in my arms and gave her a kiss that she would be able to remember for the rest of her life, almost literally sweeping her off her feet.

I made the kiss last a bit longer then what was normal for a wedding and I knew that she would be slightly embarrassed for it, with it being right in front of her friends and now my new family I even got a whistle from the crowd, a light pink dusted her cheeks and she gave me a small glare but I knew that she enjoyed it when I tried to embarrass her in like ways like this, with public displays of affection.
