4 It all Started with a KISS -(1)

Gangnam district, Seoul, March 26, 7:30 PM

"Will that jerk be attending the party tonight?" A young man turned around in the passenger seat of the expensive sleek black, Mercedes Benz Maybach Exelero, that was heading at a steady pace.

A kind of mixed emotion, amusement, frustration and maybe a bit of nervousness danced across his smooth features, which was visible by the occasional street light flashing by. It's not because of the curiosity arisen by his question, but because of the party tonight.

Its his first time to visit this part of the city, and they were visiting the most famous place of the city, The Haven. The place known for it's wonderful ambience and interior designing.

Being a first time to attend a party outside Kim's celebrations, he surely is excited and nervous at the same time about the night and is eager to make few good connections to support the lady beside him.

Listening to his question, an exasperated sigh, mixed groan left past Kim Sooha's natural pink painted lips. She could easily say whom the young man is referring to, even without doing as much as guessing or lifting her finger. Now that he mentioned about him, her already bad mood worsened to worst.

She shifted her gaze from the tinted view passing by her onto her secretary slash best friend, Jung Ha Min, who doesn't know when to keep shut when she is irritated or is not in a mood to give a da*n about anything.

However, looking at him riding a roller coaster of emotions, she decided to let it go, and simply choose  to answer his question.

"Invitations were sent to everyone, Ha min." She voiced out, sounding so tired even before reaching her destination for the night. She has never been a party body, not to forget, how flashy and shady the high society parties were, she could already feel drained out thinking about the show she need to put soon.

Listening to her answer, Ha min couldn't help but let out his thoughts, "Doesn't mean he would come." Ha min shot her a curt reply before turning back and adjusting his suit. They were expected to be sophisticated and neat, as the representative of the Kim's at the Wang's party.

Well, he would be beside Sooha and he can't appear as some cheap as* secretary with zero dressing and etiquette sense.

Sooha understood he is feeling unsettled as he mumbled something under his breath, so she held his hand and squeezed it lightly, trying to reassure him, everything is fine. Holding her hand for a while, Ha min tried to gather his confidence.

He didn't mean to sound rude or curt to Sooha, his best friend and only friend and a sister in his heart, but they'd need to be prepared to face her sad excuse of a fiancé. He was trying to look out for her and need to be prepared for any situation.

After all, he need to make sure everything is going smoothly for her and is of help to her in every way possible. Known well about her fiance, Ha min couldn't simply sit around, thinking what he might do this time around. It's always been like this. Her fiance is like a thorn in her life, whom she couldn't get rid of even if she wanted to.

Sooha didn't reply and fiddled with her gems studded white colored purse. The bracelet loosely hanging of her wrist, jingling with the motion. She didn't know and she didn't care. She had no interest in attending today's party, much less deal with Joon Jae. But, the formalities are important in business world and she can't deny it.

Unsaid rules are definite to follow.

This would be the big party of the year. After all, it is hosted by the richest man in the country and as one of the families at the top of the pyramid, the Kims were expected to maintain their appearance.

And, her grandfather deemed it as a perfect opportunity for Sooha to make her solo appearance, after making her business quite successful and after her engagement announcement.

Appearances are of great importance. To establish power, build relationships of any kind and also to cause drama. Sooha hoped that the last option would not be the one she would experience today.

She could feel the headache already brewing behind her forehead, that made her want to shut her brain down for good. So, she decided it would be better to lean her head on the plush headrest and shut away the world out at least for sometime.

After an hour of car ride, a semi-elliptical arch came into Ha min's view, " The Haven" is inscribed on it with big bold letters, marking they are near to the destination.

Passing the arch, either sides of the road is filled with beautiful garden designs, making art out of greenery. Though the night is dark, the lights are lit bright enough to take in the details of the beautiful scenery. The road to the hotel itself is enough to capture one's heart, making Ha min to anticipate what's coming next.

The silence of the long ride was broken by their driver, "We are here" he spoke lightly, sensing the tension of the Young Miss. The car stopped at the entrance of the Haven, her destination of the night.

Sooha could feel her gut clenching a bit when the car stopped.

Its going to be a long ass night.
