I sat on my king sized bed with my phone in my hands. I was scrolling through texts that my dad's client had sent me. I was paying for his family's house while he went and helped me plan to sabotage Veronica's perfectly planned homecoming. I was planning earlier. It was true that homecoming was in January, it was true that I hated Veronica's guts, and it was even more true that I was planning to ruin her precise little life.

You might be wondering.

Why does she hate her so much?

Well it all started in fifth grade. I had a crush in fifth grade, but he told me he liked Veronica. Whatever I wanted or needed Veronica would. Want or need also.

I always came second. First was never in my life because of her and all this time she's never noticed. She's never noticed that I came in second, but she doesn't know is that our friendship is all an act.

All of it.

That's why homecoming in January will be the worst day of her life. There's a high chance that Veronica will be get the crown, but ever since Kani and Jason started dating it lowered Veronica's popularity. I'm just picking on Kani for fun. After this is over I'll be sure to thank Kani for all her hard work for becoming more popular.

She just made my job a whole lot easier.

Kani's POV

I sat at the dinner table with my family and Fryday's family. We'll, without Safari, she's in Arizona at the moment. It still feels weird with her traveling back and fourth like this.

I sat next to Devanie and Fryday's mom. Fryday sat in front of me and my dad and mom sat on the far side of the table end to end.

Everyone was chatting happily when I noticed that Fryday looked uncomfortable, annoyed almost.

So out of will I ask what's up."Hey are you okay?" He stopped picking at his food and looked up at me he gave me a half smile and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm great."

I grin at him."Stop lying Wednesday." I teased.

"Stop assuming things, Cookie." He said with a huge grin plastered on his face.

He called me Cookie?

I immediately felt embarrassment."Where did you get that from?" I said trying to sound disgusted, but immediately failed.

"I heard Jason call you a Cookie after I ran upstairs. These walls aren't sound proof you know so don't try anything with Jason while I'm here."

He calmly says as he finally takes a bite of his food.

I immediately slap his arm at his remark.

"Only Jason gets to call me that. Anything, but that."

"Then from now on I'll call you princess. Cause you'll be my princess sooner or later." He says looking me in the eyes and grinning.

I nearly choke on my rice when my mom speaks up at the sight of me choking on my food.

"Oh, that reminds me of the time Kani tried to eat a rock, because she thought it was a gusher." My mom says to Mrs.June, Fryday's mom.

"Mom! Don't say that!" I said slightly lowering my head from embarrassment. I heard Fryday chuckle lowly.

"My son used to run around the house in his underwear and screamed all day long."Mrs.June said laughing with my mom. I snorted and turned to Fryday who's cheeks were a bright red. I heard my dad and Mrs.Junes husband laugh also.

"Wow he's such a loser!" Devanie exclaimed from beside me. She was grinning so big that it showed her missing tooth on the bottom row of her teeth.

Soon enough dinner was over and everyone was up in there rooms heading to bed I heard a muffled cry coming from my parents room down the hall so I decided to investigate.

"Sir, please this job means everything to my family." My mom said as she held her hands close to her face.

There was another muffled voice on the phone and soon the phone hung up with a 'beep'.

My dad hugged my mom as she cried and cried.

I was now standing in the doorway with a worried look on my face. Soon Devanie came beside me as she held her stuffed animal Safari gave her.

"What?"
