15 Chapter 15(Claude's doubts, Avern)

A couple of hours later in the real world.

Within the sect's outer door residential area.

Where large ancient buildings were erected here and there. Like trees arrangement though these buildings were placed neatly against each other.

The streets were wide and comfortable enough for everyone's use while the decorations of those flowers were extremely pleasing to one's eyes.

And somewhere else on the side of this area.

Two youthful figures could be seen sitting there at the edge of a river. Not too far away from the main hustle bustle which was on the side.

Their heads were dropped low as they appeared to be hiding from someone.

And judging by such an action, who else could it be other than Claude and Aika.

Barely managed to escape from that eventful area before the outer decon arrived to check the situation.

Though their heart was still extremely restless like a raging ocean during the night.

What just happened back then?.

Who was that voice?.

And why did that expert save them?.

A connection that none of them knew of?.

Questions after questions though very little of them would be uncovered with the truth.

Thinking of this for a short while, Claude scratched his hair frustratedly and turned his head to the side.

"Aika, do you know who that expert was?... I think it has something to do with you since you were the one who was fighting at that time"

Hearing this, Aika's eyes glistened a little under the cover of her hood. Clenched her sword and said...

"I don't know... I don't recall having met anyone that powerful during my journey before... Or even throughout my entire life. "

"Then... Is it a random expert that just happen to walk by?"

Claude asked again with a skeptical look, propped up his hand against his chin, and furrowed his eyebrows a little.

"B-but... The aura from that strike felt a little familiar. As if I had met that person once before"

Aika suddenly said with a sense of realization.

Though it was more of a "gradual process" as she struggled to remember where it was.

Hearing such a remark from her, Claude's eyes instantly broadened and he asked.

"Try remembering it... If you felt that the aura is familiar then you must have met that expert before!. "

"I will try... "

She nodded back and continued.

" But don't expect much from my horrible memories. I rarely made any contact with anyone other than you. "

"Okay..."

-

Back to where Liam was.

Currently, he was peacefully enjoying the sight of his small world while comfortably sitting on the chair with his eyes closed.

Draped under the shadow of the tree with the gentle breeze skimming by from time to time.

What a peaceful life he must admit it.

At the age of 100 years, he doesn't have as many things to worry about as a normal old man should.

At an age like this, he preferred to live leisurely and relish the solace of life to the fullest.

Woke up early in the morning and committed to his mortal needs.

Sleep early during the night and dreamed about what to do tomorrow.

Simple and yet fulfilling.

While at that, Liam had been constantly paying attention to Aika's movement since the last event.

Hearing their conversation through the void, Liam could only laugh within and he said.

"I won't reveal myself this early. I want to see her potential first... "

"At the very least, she had met the first requirement that I needed. A soul that is so pure akin to that of Villar. "

"Now then, Aika was it?. I hope you won't let me down"

Liam smiled lightly and resumed basking under the gentle glow of the sun.

Half accompanied by the comfortable shade of the tree's shadow with his leg crossed one over the other.

From time to time he would peek into the Eternal world's early progression of Villar's people. He had set it to be 1 hour to 10 years.

And by that, today's experience might be a bit more interesting than before.

*swoosh!*

The clouds were zooming in from above.

Like an enormous telescope of a certain view and soon enough, a giant island was seen below with a huge towering mountain placed in the middle.

Shaped like an oval vertically with numerous odd species living on this island.

And there, next to a large open grassland not too far away from a lake.

Settlements after settlements could be seen here that were made out of wood, branches, and some dried leaves.

People going about here and there with their eyes filled with worries.

*da!* *da!* *da!*

A set of knocking noises was heard as a frail woman in a loose plastic robe pushed the door open respectfully and said.

"Sir Avern. The scout team has returned with a new report. I am here to convey the message... "

Hearing this, a man with a slightly fair expression on his face immediately asked back from within the house.

His voice was a bit hoarse and crispy, though the excitement on his face was unconcealed.

"Is there any good news?"

"I-I am sorry Sir Avern. There had been no further report of the Ancestor... "

The moment she said that there was no news of the ancestor, his once excited eyes immediately dimmed down like a star that had lost its shine.

Blurry for a while and he muttered softly with a dejected look.

"I see... That's a pity..."

"But there were some interesting discoveries of our current place, Sir Avern. "

She added in from the side. A bit worried she must admit it with the way how their current leader acted.

"What is it?"

Avern casually asked without much interest.

Turned his head back towards the table in front of him and began scribbling some unusual imprints on a plastic that had been layered over with some dried leaves covering.

The most basic idea that he could think of without Villar's help and it was a plain dried board for thoughts to be gathered.

Even though it was a bit crude with the powdery-like stone pencil that he used. But still, it was somehow manageable enough to be quite useful for the current him.

"Our current location is surrounded by water on all sides, and the scout had reported that the water tasted a bit weird. It's a new taste that we had never seen before in our previous world."

The woman slowly said with a professional look on her face. Reporting every little detail of the scout report without a single stutter in her words.
