Chapter 12( I am no hero, The lord!!!)

The next day.

Liam woke up with the usual routine.

Tidied up his bed, took a warm bath to clean himself up, and changed his clothes into a new ones.

Cooked himself a delicious set of meals, dragged the reclining chair to the courtyard, and placed it under the tree's gentle shadow.

Overlooking the water in front of him with the warm touch of the morning air.

The air felt a little bit fluttery today due to smoke that had been rising into the clouds from the horizon.

Liam checked the source of these smokes but the sight that landed within his eyes next instantly turned his mood down for the day.

It was a small village with bandits running all over the place. Swinging their swords down and killing a lot of innocent lives blatantly.

Mothers hugging their children, and those men picking up their farming stools to defend themselves.

Though would such an act be useful before this scavenger that knows nothing other than killing and plundering?.

The answer might be rather unwanted to one's ears, but it was the truth after all.

Liam doesn't like the sight of this early in the morning.

This instantly ruined his mood with his eyes went sharp for a moment under the subtle feeling.

Tore the void next to him and slapped his palm down from the sky.

*boom!*

A loud boom was heard as the whole village was flattened to dust. Leaving behind a large handprint that was deeply embedded into the earth.

And surprisingly enough, those villagers were still alive even under such a horrible attack.

Seeing that none of them were harmed in any way, Liam breathed in a sigh of relief and retracted his sight from the area.

Rubbed his head for a moment and said.

"It's not like I want to be a hero or anything... I can't save everyone from their misery, but at the very least, I can do some minor things like this"

"There's a difference between being capable as a hero and wanting to feel different in such a state of mine. And both might not necessarily solve any issues at all"

He sighed in deeply, took a light look over the town that had not changed much from the past, and shifted his gaze back towards the small box world.

"Vilar, today our promise must be fulfilled. I hope you are ready to face the consequences of reality. "

"May it be destruction or peace, both meant nothing to me other than the joy of creation "

Not wanting to waste any time, Liam's eyes stabbed through the void easily and landed his sight on the small box world.

Overlooking the whole plain with a single glance of his as he quickly located Villar's position in an instant.

"It seems he has made quite a progress, huh"

Liam sighed emotionally.

Gently pressed the void and zoomed down the view a hundred or even thousands of times.

It was a large group of people gathering at the feet of the promised hill from before. This place had been turned into a holy site for them, a place of remembrance.

As for those new faces, they should be the product of joy from Villar's hard work. Though the number was still less than 200 or so.

Meaning that he had won in the simplest way of gaining trust back within these people, but not to the rest of the population.

"It's still quite amazing how dedicated he was."

Liam muttered to himself as began looking at the past 10 years. Seeing the effort that had been made by Villar to win his people over.

It was hard, cruel, and yet fulfilling at the same time. There would be times of joy and also moments of pain.

And in the end, these 170 people would be the final result of his struggle for the last 10 years.

Half were women while the other were men. Quite balanced Liam must admit it.

"I had once stated that I won't interfere much with the little world affair. Though this time, Villar's hard work is quite a feat I must admit it. The heart of iron with the will of thunder, a gift I shall grant him soon"

*boom!*

Liam tore through the space yet again, reappearing before the world's tiny void with his true golden body.

The eyes were cold and indifferent with his size twice or even bigger than the whole world below.

Glanced lightly for a moment and smiled.

"The day of reckoning is finally here, Villar. Bring your people down to their feet. I will judge you today for your failure"

-

At the same time, somewhere within the small box world.

Villar's frail figure could be discerned, sitting there next to a tree. A tree that would always bloom itself in a beautiful cherry pigment for its leaves.

Sprinkled all over the ground like a coating, and from one's view, it would appear to be a natural mattress.

The grasses were cut off neatly within this area. The rocks were arranged in an orderly manner, pathed into a small gravel road from below the cliff and the wind would occasionally skim by over this area.

Everything appeared to be normal within this perspective with Villar's back facing our sight.

His legs were stretched under with his ghastly eyes looking over the cliff.

Turned his head lightly towards the tree and muttered in a soft voice.

"A total of 10 years... I had made a promise to you. A promise that signed a death warrant upon this world. And it was all under my greed for love..."

His hoarse and yet gentle voice resounded about within the medium. Like a soothing melody but a slowly withering one.

For 10 years, he had been constantly struggling to save his beloved people.

He suffered harsh treatment of reality, butcher of morale concept with the so-called love that had been contaminated.

He saw deaths, many of them.

And he saw hope, even though it was very few.

And finally, here he is. Sitting at the edge of the cliff. The place of remembrance for his heavy burden.

His hair was no longer short, bathed under behind him like a decaying waterfall.

And as he stroked the tree trunk gently...

*boom!*

The whole world suddenly shook under an unknown tremor. And what came next would be a voice...

A heavenly voice that marked the ending of his trial.

"The day of reckoning is here, Villar. Let us see your failure upon your greed...."

*boom!*

The sky was ripped open from the middle. Grabbed and twisted to both sides as a huge heavenly body slowly stepped out from it.

The eyes were cold with the almost freezing light on such a sacred body.

And with a glance alone, everyone else fainted.

Nothing breathes, nothing moves, and nothing hides. Let it be such a concept for today would be the awaited day.

Villar would be the only one who can breathe right now. The only one who can see... The only one who can hide, but he didn't.

He stood up from the ground and turned his gaze towards the sky with an eager look.

Tears slid down from the corner of his eyes with his heart finally being able to let go of all of those burdens from before.

"The lord!!!!!"

He shouted as he instantly crumbled onto the ground.
