DID HE REALLY ENTERTAIN HER?

"Have you seen Heiran today?"

Dongyul lifted his head and looked at Young Jae who is busy in eating his own snack. He expects he would also lift his head up after Chung Ae asked the question but it seems like he doesn't care at all. If this is the case, Dongyul assumed Heiran and Young Jae promised each other to keep their transaction a secret, only until Heiran claimed her position as the EIC.

"Heiran must be with Ruel."

He answered briefly but he saw Young Jae clenched his fist, crumpling the tissue he is holding. It is very uncommon for Young Jae to ask about a girl or ask about someone else's relationships. So when it comes to him asking who is Ruel to Heiran, Dongyul find it strange. He knows how Young Jae is admiring the author of the school paper series he is reading a lot, which happens to be Heiran. But whether Heiran is single or not, it'll never affect the quality of her story. So why did he bother asking?

"I mean, they're always together so I just assumed.", Dongyul defended his answer. And that somehow made Chung Ae feel at ease.

"It seems like she doesn't care about her deadline. Maybe she knows she isn't deserving for the spot."

Young Jae and Dongyul cleared their throat after hearing that. How would she react once she found out they are both helping Heiran to finish the job? She would be so disappointed and mad of course. About venting her anger, Dongyul guessed she'll be that mad to Young Jae and accused him that he wants Heiran. She is not in the position to get jealous though, so Young Jae doesn't really care about her disappointment.

Young Jae, on the other hand is casually sitting; undecided whether to lift his head or not. He is trying to be indifferent, he is pretending not to care. But his ears are eavesdropping too much with Chung Ae and Dongyul's confession. He wants to defend Heiran; he thinks she deserve the spot. But it'll just tense everything up. So better be silent until Heiran submit her work tomorrow morning. "I never saw Heiran today. Where could she be?", Young Jae thought to himself.

"Heiran, are you sure you didn't forget it at home?"

"Ruel, what are you thinking? I told you I gave it to miss Kang for proofreading. Then she said someone got it for me. We're looking for those two girls."

"Miss Kang mentioned their section right?"

"She did but I think I'll pass out anytime soon. I'm really hungry."

Ruel looked back and saw his best friend taking a seat. With Heiran having low blood sugar level, it isn't healthy for her to skip meals. She may collapse, or have seizures if she won't eat t the right time. Ruel, being the most considerate person around her represented to do the work for her instead.

They have been searching the campus for an hour now. They are looking for those girls who took Heiran's feature story of Young Jae. Both of them know that if they aren't quick enough, those two girls will report to Chung Ae; maybe surrender Heiran's copy. Once it reach Chung Ae, Heiran will have no chance to submit her work tomorrow.

"I'll search them for you Heiran. You can eat my snacks. Here."

Heiran accepted his offer and Ruel went straight ahead to his search. Somehow, it is very beneficial for Heiran to find a friend like Ruel. He cares for her and he stood by her every time. No matter how hard she tries to cheer him up, she knows Ruel doesn't deserve to be in the relationship he's having right now.

The girl Ruel has been dating for some months now is always cancelling their date and she always drives him away. Her friend deserves better but Heiran knows Ruel loves that woman so much. Imagine visiting that woman every week, even if she's just drawing you away and instructing you to go home instead. Such a cruel lady.

"This is it. This is the section Miss Kang mentioned.", Ruel exclaimed after seeing the massive section name plastered on the upper part of the room's door. The only thing he should do is look for the names their teacher also mentioned. He is hoping those girls haven't reached out to Chung Ae yet or else, Heiran will be doomed.

"Excuse me but why are you here?"

Ruel turned around after hearing someone's asking him. And he can't believe his eyes, Young Jae is in front of him now. The campus's best athlete is standing in front of him. Though he knows nothing about sports, he always hears Young Jae's name and his success with his classmates. He is outstanding in almost everything.

"Is this also your section Mr. Jung?"

"Yes."

"Uh, I'm looking for those girls who stole Heiran's feature story of you. Miss Kang said they're from this section too."

"Stole Heiran's what?"

"Oh I am Heiran's best friend. I know she conducted an interview with you. She gave it to Miss Kang this morning but two students showed themselves to Miss Kang and told them Heiran sent them to take the papers. And so Heiran lost it."

"I'll help you search for those girls then."

And so Young Jae and Ruel decided to work together. It'll be pretty easy for them to find those girls since they are Young Jae's classmates. For sure, Chung Ae is also behind this. She wanted to make sure everything will go smoothly as what she planned. But Young Jae isn't worried about Chung Ae, he is more worried about Heiran forgetting to contact him if she needs helps. He already assured her that he will help her with this, but she never hit her up with a message. Is she still not trusting him? "Heiran, am I a joke to you?", Young Jae thought.

"Chung Ae, it is confirmed. Young Jae really did accommodate her. She has her output here with us."

"I'll get it from you after class."

Chung Ae immediately dropped the call and threw her phone on her desk. How is it possible? What is it with Heiran that Young Jae wasted his time on her? Since when did they talk when she has been spying Young Jae for the whole weekend? "Did he really entertain that girl? Why? What's with her?", Chung Ae said to herself; already wanting to argue with Young Jae.
