1 LOVERS MEET

Reggie was sitting on a bench in the park, waitng for his girlfriend. This was their usual meeting place, private and with a scenic view of trees and colourful shrubs. He shook out a cigarette and lit up, puffing contentedly as he thought about her. Her name was Christine, a beautiful creature very much aware of her good looks.

Reggie was deeply in love with Christine and would do anything for her and she knew it. He was a decent young man but not rich enough, although Christine seemed to love him as he was. Fortunately for him there had not been enough competition in his area to give him any cause for concern about his girl.

Christine arrived after a while looking gorgeous as usual in skinny jeans and a revealing tank top. They embraced and kissed lingeringly, whispering endearments to each other.

"Sweetheart I missed you," said Reggie softly, holding her by the waist. "I'm here now," she smiled into his face.

"Let's go for drinks and maybe something to eat," he smiled back. "The 'shinyama' has a delicious meat platter special on Fridays."

"Ooh! Yummy! I love meat and you know it....is that a bribe mister?!" she winked mischievously.

Reggie spread his arms depreciatingly, "Guilty as charged madame."

She giggled coyly, "You'll certainly pay for that." She took his arm in hers and they strolled to the braai place.
