6 She's My Wife

The following morning.

An Jia and Gu Liang missed each other by a few minutes. An Jia had left the house when Gu Liang came down to greet his mother.

Gu Liang nor his mother mentioned anything about yesterday's event. It was as it had never happened. Gu Liang had his breakfast like always and made his way to the bus station to school.

An Jia on the other hand went to Ye Corporation and report to the appropriate department for her first day. Mr. Shen who was in charged of the accountant department informed An Jia that her assigned station is outside of the accountant department which An Jia raised her brows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Mr. Shen was not sure of the full details as well. Before An Jia arrived this morning, he received a call from Mo Bai. "Well, it's hard to say. You have been offered the accountant position, but you will be the President's personal accountant."

"Personal accountant?" An Jia was in shock of the news. When she applied for the position she thought she will just be an ordinary accountant and did not believe of the turn of events. If she had knew this would had happened, she would not accept the offer. To be the President's personal accountant was not a problem, she just didn't want to meet the guy.

Her experience with him had not been very pleasant. Without giving An Jia much time to think, he reminded her again of the contract.

"You have officially joined Ye Corporation, you are on probation for a year before you can terminate the contract. If you are to quite before the year ends, you will have to pay a fine of five million yuan. If the company fires your for whatever reason, you will not have to pay for this fine."

An Jia knew there is no way out, she does not have that much money to begin with and who knows how long she have to work to gain that much money.

An Jia have lost all hopes, she can only lower her head and agree to the terms.

Mr. Shen walk An Jia around the department to let the few employees on the team know that they have a new addition to the team before send her off to the Presidential level.

Upon entering the floor, she saw a beautiful lady sitting behind the desk who was talking cheerfully to Mo Bai. Her face was a bit rosy and her smile was brighter than the sun.

An Jia took a closer look at Mo Bai and realize that he was not half bad, to be exact his personality was better than that cold looking President Ye. She agrees that Mo Bai had his charm and plenty of ladies like the one in front of her can be attracted to his appeal. The woman's face was filled with nothing but love.

The woman and Mo Bai realize that someone was staring at them and turn their heads to look just to see An Jia standing there in a daze.

"You're here." Mo Bai smile to the woman before giving his attention to An Jia. "This is the president's secretary and sister, Ye Saoying."

When An Jia heard what Mo Bai said, An Jia politely bow her head to greet her. Saoying then stood up from her seat and An Jia could see her baby bump. Saoying was pregnant which caught An Jia in surprise. But, what was even more surprising was what Mo Bai said next, "Yingying is my wife."

An Jia's eyes grew wider by the second. No wonder she could sense love in the air when she saw the two talking together. An Jia summarized the whole situation and guessed that Mo Bai was probably worried about his wife and is checking on her. An Jia sighs deeply at the loving couple. She is at the age to be in a relationship, yet no man has come to her.

Mo Bai's words reminded An Jia that she is currently at the office and it is not the time to think about other things.

"Although you were offered the accountant's position I would like you to learn the secretary's position first."

"Will an accountant need to learn what a secretary does?" An Jia was confused about everything.

"Yingying is due in a couple weeks and will be away for a month. We could not find a replacement even if we post a position out today therefore I've looked into your resume and can say you are a good candidate for this position. It will just be temporary until Yingying is back."

An Jia looks at Saoying and saw a bright smile on her face.

"Is this your first child?"

Mo Bai was a little stunned at An Jia's sudden question. "Y-yes."

"I can tell how nervous you are." An Jia smile her sight not removing away from Saoying's stomach. "I know you two will be great parents."

Mo Bai stared at An Jia in awestruck before a smile appears on his face. "Anyways, you will be shadowing Yingying until the day she leaves. I hope that you can learn everything in that time."

"Hm. I will do my best."

An Jia's testimony against working directly with the president have vanish the moment she saw Ye Saoying. She was curious how this small woman can carry such a big load with her. An Jia's eyes shows nothing but determination. She wanted the best for this new-coming mother.

After Mo Bai has left into the President's office, Saoying begins teaching An Jia the basic such as taking calls, noting down appointments, printing documents as requested by the President, where to locate files and going to meetings with the President.

The day was almost over and An Jia can say she learned a lot in just one day. An Jia was not a picky person when it comes to workload, as long as she is taught in regards to it, she will complete the task without a whistle. An Jia had always been a quick learner and hardly asked for repeats but today she had a lot of questions as she had never worked in this field before.

When it hits five in the evening, Mo Bai came out of the President's office to pick up his wife. Normally Mo Bai will be stuck with Ye Shizhan throughout the day and sometimes nights, but since he found out about Ye Shizhan's pregnancy he had advised Mo Bai to work his regular shift and take care of Saoying after. It was truly a relief for Mo Bai. He was finally getting some time to spend with his wife, and for this he was truly grateful for his brother-in-law.

An Jia was starting to pack up her things when Mo Bai told her not to leave yet.

"President Ye is currently in a meeting and may need some documents sent to him. Can you stay a little bit longer?"

An Jia did not know what to say, she glance at Saoying for reassurance.

"Just like how I taught you earlier. Whatever he asks for you can find it in the cabinets. It's alphabetically. Just asked him the case name and date."

Saoying said while patting An Jia on the back with a 'you can do it' expression. Mo Bai walked over to help Saoying, one hand on her waist and the other carrying her bags. An Jia couldn't lie to herself, she was a little envious of their love.

As An Jia watches the two disappear into the elevator, she couldn't help glance at the President's office.
