The Soldier, Dies?

A loud slamming noise happened after 30 minutes which startled the soldier awake. The soldier blinked his eyes, and yawned in the lazy, calm manner which he was used too.

George would be was washing cups to prepare for the next day, and the room after the investigation looked far more cleaner than what it originally was before the investigation happened.

The soldier thought, 'Well. At least George used them for something.' As he began to stand up, his body felt a little bit woozy, and it felt like if you had spun your self for a little while. He searched for his wallet, and pulled out a mediocre amount of cash. It was around 75 USD, and with the little to no inflation which provided that that sum was prodigious.

"George. Will this amount do for awhile?" The soldier said in a relaxed tone. With George looking at the flat cash then continued his work after nodding. The soldier left the sum of money on the bar, and ventured out of the bar.

Keeping his wobbly self onto the side-walks for most of the journey home. Until a large; "HOOOOOOOOOOONK" sound came from what it sounded like a 18-wheeler.

The soldier was startled as he watched it topple unto himself. He thought to himself, drowsily at that, 'Freak accidents are usually caused by fate. Or at least that what many people in the army told me.'

There was a person behind him who got to ran as the truck abruptly stopped immediately coming into contact with the soldier. It seemed the soldier's life was not spared, and the other person's fate was.

How unlucky that this was the case. As the superhero who had stopped the truck had came in a second too late, and the soldier's consciousness passed on.

The soldier's soul wasn't so fortunate as it had been robbed of it's rightful position in the underworld, and to be placed in another vessel somewhere in the multiple universes throughout history.

The soldier's soul still had it's own thoughts though, and looked at where it was at. Before a sound cut his attention from that!

[ Greetings. ]

'?' The soldier didn't respond and tried to figure out what that sound was, and looked around but to find nothing to his avail. Just blank space with not even darkness existing.

[ Hey. You know I'm inside you. ]

'Uh.' The soldier didn't know how to respond to that. Especially with the implications of saying that.

[ No. Not like that you moron. ]

'What are you?' The soldier thought or perhaps spoke curiously.

[ That's a good question. I am Autonomous : Model CCXXIV ]

'That's not very helpful. Explain better.' The soldier demanded in a child like manner.

[ I'm known as what the gods, or deities. Or generally people with too much power in their hands call,

'The system'. I basically help mortals who got cucked by fate which these people cannot control. So cheer up. At least your next life will be better, ye stinky bastard.]

The soldier didn't even know how to comprehend what the system just said, and got somehow offended at the end before being blasted off into another life.

Before he knew it he was now a semi-formed fetus with minimal brain capacity, and so all of his memories were forgotten until he could reform them. (A/N - Nani? You expected him to be able to function like a normal human being at the age of 0? How comical.)

A few months later, the now formed baby was pushed out of the womb. A blinding white colored room filled the baby's eyes, irritating it to the point of crying.

"Waaah!" Baby wails could be heard in the room as people in strange quite clothing and blue spandex gloves could be seen.

The baby could feel it being wrapped in some type of cloth, and being put into another human being's arms. It suddenly stopped crying, and began to doze off in a nice nap. After that exercise it just had it was exhausted. As something was jammed into it's mouth and began to suck on it unconsciously.

The woman who had birthed the child looked awfully tired but at the same time agog. She looked over at her husband and calmly muttered, "Praise the Lord and his many blessings. With such, his name will be Nathan."

The husband shifted over to his wife, and nodded. The wife made a wry smile, and then passed out of exhaustion most like her own child.

From birth the child didn't glow, the father knew this much. Meaning his child didn't give fruit to a powerful child with an ability. But little did he know that his child was much more than a simple child. He would become one of the most powerful figures in society.

And cut!

Small chapter. I'll be describing Nathan's childhood for the next few chapters.

So don't look forward to system appearing in them. (Pst. That's for later. You guys, or gals, can wait, you fucking bastards.)
