Saved?

I saw him. Or at least I assumed I saw him. A man dressed up in an old and unfashionable vest, disguised as a teacher that looked like he had gave up on life and hated teaching 'young people nowadays'.

I observed his every move from behind a bush

and saw him in front of the main office of the school, looking left and right. He looked rather suspicious. Just when I was about to follow him into the main office, someone patted me on my shoulder.

I cringed and thought,"Please...not Ashton."

Unfortunately, he was the person I did not want to see.

"What are you doing here?" Ashton asked, looking puzzled and smirking at the same time. He had a smile in his smirk. Smirk in his smile. Couldn't tell which was which.

"I do not want you to ruin my plans. Please go." I said, plastering a fake smile on my face. My eyes were literally twitching, and the only thing restraining me from punching that guy was the mission my Uncle had entrusted me with.

"Fine." Ashton said, although I was totally skeptical. At least he was gone for now. Slowly, I tip-toed into the main office and saw the imposter/thief/culprit/snitch( the list goes on) in the room where the badge was and most people; students or Teachers could not enter. How did he get the key? I pushed the thought aside and focused on catching him.

I approached him from behind and got ready to pounce. "Ah!" I shouted. Luckily, nobody expect the man and I were in the office at that time. If someone was here, they would be suspicious of me as well as the guy. Or worse, the man could have pushed the blame onto me as he was acting as a teacher in the school.

The man used a pocket knife to stab my arm. Oh shit. I was at a very big disadvantage. I didn't bring a weapon with me! I tried my best to dodge all his attacks and unleashed all the moves I learnt from my 3-year Taekwondo course. The old man was surprisingly good at combat, though. He managed to dodge my attacks and was also inflicting some punches on me.

I thought that all hope was lost when I accidentally tripped on his leg. He pointed his razor-sharp knife at me and was ready to stab my chest. At this crucial moment, something or someone stopped him.
