Thoughts of meeting him !!!

"Can I just not attend it?" A girl on her late 20's says with a pitiful voice as it scares her to even imagine going to the lunch reunion .It's not that she doesn't want to meet her friends but she is not brave enough to meet him again.

"Evelyn , Are you crazy you know Amy and her temper.She sure will murder you if you don't come . She told that at any cost all of us must attend it since she has something important to announce." Zoe said on the other side of the phone.

Having no option left she tries to think for some time and come to a conclusion of whether to be murdered by her friend or go to meeting .

Trying to come to a conclusion Eve asks Zoe in her low tone "Is Noah too attending?  And she takes a long breathe not wanting to know the answer .

" Most probably he will be there since all of his other friends are coming and you know he too can't win against Amy and I heard from Amy that he returned back last week from Italy too so there is no chance he won't come unless...." Zoe said and stayed silent knowing what she said must have been heavy for her friend to inhale .

The long silence filled the atmosphere between them since neither of them knew what to speak about . Eve got her courage up and told in a low voice almost in a whisper , "....How am I going to face him Zoe😭😢? What if he still hates me? What if he is no more the same? What if he got married to her? What if ....😥... "Before eve could speak tears ran down her eyes thinking about him.

"Eve, strengthen yourself. I know you still have feelings for him but dear don't let them ruin you over again. You have struggled enough for the past five years so now it is time to let him go. So you can have a life of your own and move on with someone new. Forget about the past. Whatever you did back then I supported you because I knew you were right so will I do even now. If you don't want to face him then I will convince Amy on your behalf."

"It's okay Zoe; I have to face him one day I can't always run away from it ....I will go and attend it. I have to be brave enough to face him. I am going to show him I am no more the same the same girl who had once loved him."

"Ok love I will always support you ,don't worry You will have my back so don't stress yourself ok , I will be back tomorrow then meet you in the meeting soon . Love you Bye Miss You and take care of yourself and give my regards to your annoying brother as well ."

"Love you too Zoe and Have a safe journey back and tell me about your project ok " Evelyn kept her phone on the side table of her bed and opened the drawer and took out a box which seemed like a jewelry box. She opened it and tears fall down again this time it was more sorrowful then when she was on phone. She held the necklace on her hand and took out something else too . It was couple photo of her with a boy in basketball jersey both smiling wide holding their locket on their hand.

Almost a week had passed since Eve had talked to Zoe on phone. She was busy with her work to think about it. Since she was kind of workaholic and needed all her projects to be perfect so she was well renowned for her works in her work field .She had more on her hand since she was the head of her team. She worked for an event planning company mostly dealing with exhibitions and ceremonies.  Currently her team was dealing with some art exhibition event which was almost done planning .She was working with its report when her phone rang.

"Wow finally you had time to call me ??"Evelyn asked sarcastically as she picked up her phone.

"I am finally free tonight so I thought maybe we should grab dinner together since it has been so long since we last had our personal space ..."

"Nolan , I will come if you will pay for it .Infact I will be done with my work in about an hour , so I was thinking if we could go and play Table tennis for some time ." Eve said with her cunning tone .

'It's a great idea ...then see you in front of your workplace at 6  ...will be waiting for you piggy " Nolan said and laughed making Eve just say ok and keep the phone .

(Nolan and Evelyn had been friends since they were 7 years old. They lived in the same house since their parents were good friends and everyone thought they were twins whenever they saw them as they were always together.)

Today's match was fun seems like someone is working hard lately huh??? Nolan said while having coke .

Eve just smiled as if she agreed to what her brother wears telling .

"Piggy, Are you too going for the reunion or not?" Nolan asked wiping Eve's mouth with a tissue. " When will you grow up , you still eat like a five year old ..."

Eve who was busy eating chicken almost choked with the question Nolan asked her.

"Yes I have to go .Did Amy invite you too?"

"I guess she has something important to say then .. And are you comfortable going  I heard He will be coming too?"

Eve felt numb all over her body like as if she had been dipped in ice water. She tried to speak but not a word came out of her mouth .Seeing her tremble Nolan grabbed her and hold her tight.  "Eve sorry .... I am so sorry ...I shouldn't have asked about him....."he patted on her shoulder and comforted her until she fell asleep on his shoulder. He carried her to her bed and laid her slowly and covered her with blanket and kissed her forehead and whispered " I hope he will understand you one day, my little pig, I wish everything between you two could be solved I can't see you weak like this .... I miss my playful little pig who never felt scared about meeting people 😟😟..... sleep well ... He arranged her blanket and covered her and adjusted her room's temperature before going out he turned to see his little sister sleeping soundly which made him smile ....
