59 Chapter Fifty-seven

I refused to listen to the small mocking voice in my head telling me that our purpose of coming here was already a failure. We've been searching the room for only just fifteen minutes so there was still hope.

While searching, I was being careful not to put things out of place so that when Connor comes in, he wouldn't notice that someone went through his things. I closed the fourth and last drawer in his storage closet built into a wall with a sigh and turned to see if Samson was having any little progress. 

I was not expecting what met my eyes.
