Qiao An said each word quietly as she tried to walk in a straight line by following the continuous single white path running along the left side of her apartment area with two bags of groceries, one on each hand.

Her best friend, Lei Xiao, will get married in three months from now and Su Na, her other best friend, told her last night that she has been seeing someone for two months now. Another best friend of hers, Yee Ling was out there travelling around the world without any care, volunteering in a third world country under some NGOs Qiao An was not familiar with.

It seemed as if she was the only one alone now.

"Well…Well… Well… Someone sounds desperate" A deep familiar male voice came out of nowhere. Qiao An was so surprised that she dropped the grocery from her left hand.

Qiao An didn't mean to let anyone hear her thought. She was supposed to say it inside her heart. Now that someone heard her, he'll think that she was desperate or something.

Footsteps approached Qiao An from her back. She turned around to see Shen Jun Shan in his sports attire.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Shen Jun Shan stopped at Qiao An's left side and picked up the groceries before handing it over to Qiao An. "I heard everything".

Shen Jun Shan continued walking towards the stairs, and when he didn't hear the footsteps of a certain someone behind him, he turned around. It was evident that Shen Jun Shan was in a good mood. He threw his sweetest smile towards the confused Qiao An.

"We need to settle this quickly. Come".
