"I hope we can spend more time together again, not just today." Shirley Wang ate her food elegantly.

Qiao An had to give her that. As expected from someone born in a wealthy family. Qiao An observed Shirley Wang see if she could find any flaws in her.

Girls usually did that. Some girls could not stand the fact that someone is perfect. That's why they could not help but trying to find a flaw to make themselves feel better.

Even though it was pretty evident that Shirley was crushing on Jin, Shirley did her best not to make Qiao An felt out of place. She engaged Qiao An in a topic that all three of them could talk with.

Qiao An sneaked a glance at Jin, and she could see from Jin's face that he was quite comfortable having a conversation with Jin.

"I don't want to do things on your back. The truth is, I ask my father to set up blind dates for us." Shirley Wang stopped eating. "Right after I return home, my father persuaded me to go on a blind date, and he even had all the pictures of the eligible candidates."

Qiao An knew where this would go. Most probably, Shirley Wang would say that she saw Jin's picture and felt that he is good looking. Therefore, she chose him for her blind date. Qiao An stopped eating and started listening to confirm her theory.

"I never thought that I am going to see you again. Without wasting time, I told my father that I would go out and meet you. I am sorry if I was too pushy." Shirley Wang tucked her had behind her ear. 'I told my father, I won't go out with anyone but you.

When she said the last line, Shirley Wang was looking at Jin.

This would be the first time Qiao An saw someone fell in love right in front of her eyes. The gaze from Shirley Wang towards JIn seemed to create a barrier that enclosed them in a space belonged only to them – and Qiao An was an outsider in it.

She could not dictate how her brother should live his life, the same way how Qiao An felt that Jin should not control her love life. But if she were to offer her opinion, Qiao An personally preferred that Jin fall in love with someone she was closed with.

Someone that she could talk comfortably as they were going to be a family anyway.

Shirley Wang is a good person, so far, on Qiao An's first-day impression of the rich girl. But a human can change, and they could pretend like how Jin's previous ex-girlfriend who went crazy and scratched her car.

And one's heart is like a mirror – always changing according to what it reflects and could easily be clouded.

On Jin's face, however, Qiao An could not find any trace of affection towards Shirley Wang. It could either be because he had zero interest in Shirley Wang, or he masked his feeling securely.

"Have we met before?" Jin stopped eating too.

Shirley Wang told both of the step-siblings about how she came to know Jin. It was such a new thing for Qiao An because she never knew that from a few months of gaming, her brother had such a devoted fan turned blind date candidate.

The breakfast went smoothly, and both Jin and Qiao An went back to Jin's house at ten.

The first thing that Shen Jun Shan did when he woke up would be to check his phone.

No text from Qiao An.

He smiled and sent a good morning text to Qiao An. After that, he contacted his friend, who was supposed to install the CCTV that day.

The CCTV that Shen Jun Shan installed was a mini CCTV or what people called 'spy camera.' The size was small, and basically, you can just put it anywhere, and people will not see it unless they pay attention to their surroundings.

When Shen Jun Shan was done with the CCTV, he returned to his house. Amy Shen had just waking up. Usually, during the weekend, if she did not have anything planned for the next day, Amy Shen liked to binge-watching drama in her room until three in the morning.

"Are you going out with An An later?" Amy Shen went to the kitchen to get her coffee.

"Yes. Do you want to join us?" Shen Jun Shan looked at his sister. "I feel bad letting you eat dinner alone. I'm sure An An won't mind if you join us."

"No, thanks. I can eat with a friend. Don't worry about me. You should use this time to get close to her." Amy Shen sipped her coffee. "You know, people said when you fall in love, you have some sort of itch to do all sorts of things."

Shen Jun Shan did not react to that.

"Last time… I don't wish to witness such a thing. Think about single people like me, would you?" Amy Shen grabbed her chest as if her heart was hurting.

A text from Qiao An came around eleven. Shen Jun Shan only said good morning, but the text from Qiao An was quite long. She was explaining that she had breakfast with her brother and her brother's blind date.

Then Qiao An also wrote that they should eat dinner together because she had a cold war with her brother, and she did not want to eat a meal with her brother for the time being.

Shen Jun Shan informed his sister that he would be having dinner with Qiao An. He did ask Amy Shen to come with them, but Amy Shen refused. So, to atone for his absence in dinner with his sister, Shen Jun Shan went to buy groceries for Amy Shen in case Amy Shen wanted to eat dinner at home.

As he went to the parking lot, Shen Jun Shan saw a familiar face walking towards the parking lot. The man approached the parking lot, and Shen Jun Shan knew why the face was familiar.

Back in her university day, Shen Jun Shan always see the man in the cafeteria near their hostel. The man was in the same year as him. He did not know the name of the man, but apparently, the man was quite popular around the block.
