63 Chapter 63: Meant to be

Thank god that it was Friday. Qiao An did not have to go to work the next day.

Since Qiao An did not have to work, she left her car in the parking lot and went to her brother's house with Jin's car.

Jin helped Qiao An brought her things into his house. The bungalow was too big for one person. Qiao An wondered if Jin felt lonely there.

"This is my room. Over there is your room." Jin stopped in front of his room and pointed to Qiao An's room at the end of the hallway.

There was one room in the middle of Qiao An's room and Jin's room. It was not as if Qiao An wanted to question the placement of a room; she was just curious as to who did the room belonged to.

Did Jin save that room for someone? Like girlfriend? Qiao An felt giddy, and Jin saw that.

"That is the kittens' room".

Jin opened the door, and the kittens pounced on Jin's leg. Jin played with the kittens, and Qiao An crouched down.

"I thought you left them to my mom." Qiao An gave the kittens belly rub, and the kittens were more than happy to offer their round tummy.

"Of course, I can't let them go. Amy would want to play with them too." Jin tried to rub Snowy's belly, but Snowy bit his hand before running away.

It made sense now. Why Jin wanted to take care of the cat, it had something to do with Amy Shen. Qiao An grinned. Things would be very interested from now on.

Jin's phone rang, and both of them knew who called based on the ringtone. The head of the Tang Family, currently Jin's father and Qiao An's stepfather, really love the song 'Fly Me to the Moon' by Frank Sinatra.

Both Qiao An and Jin used the ringtone for their parents. The phone rang, and it seemed as if Jin had no intention to pick up his phone.

"Are you in trouble?" Qiao An asked.

Jin shrugged and answered the phone. Qiao An could not hear the rest of the conversation, but she knew that JIn was scolded by his father. Qiao An stayed in the room while looking at Jin. After a few minutes of good scolding, Jin hung up the phone.

"It's about Shirley. I saw her in the restaurant while I was eating dinner with Amy a few hours ago. Dad asked me to meet her later. She is in City L for a week." Jin started explaining without anyone asking him.

"I know. I saw her this morning." Qiao An stood up and headed outside.

"What do you mean you saw her? How do you even know each other?" Jin followed Qiao An outside.

Qiao An ignored him and walked towards her room. Feeling neglected, Jin changed his topic.

"How come Shen Jun Shan knows what's going on with you earlier than me? I am your brother; you should tell me if anything happened to you first." Jin tailed behind Qiao An.

Qiao An stopped abruptly in front of her room. "Because he's my boyfriend."

She folded her arm as if challenging Jin to say something about it. Her face was stoic.

"The heck he is…" Jin folded his arm too, mimicking Qiao An. When Qiao An did not continue the conversation, something clicked in Jin's mind. "THE HECK HE IS!" Jin was furious. "You are kidding me."

Qiao An opened the door, entered her room, and shut the door to Jin's face. From inside the room, she shouted. "You are not my mother. Stop overreacting."

Jin went to his room furiously. That Shen Jun Shan. Damn him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A beautiful young lady was lying on bed. She was watching an old gaming video on her phone. Sometimes, a smile would form on her beautiful face.

"Shirley, sometimes when I look at you, I feel like an old lady." The older lady sighed on her own bed.

"What are you talking about Sis Ting. You are still young. 38-year-old is still young." Shirley took off her eyes from her phone and squeezed the hand of Sis Ting, who was on the next bed.

The company prepared separate hotel rooms for all five of them who were involved in observing and making the evaluation of the schools in City L. Shirley felt that it was wasting resources and requested a double bed so that she could share the room with her colleague.

"What are you watching?" Sis Ting tried to peek from her bed but all she could see was some people playing video games.

"This?" Shirley moved to the next bed and lay down beside Sis Ting. "This is an old gaming competition video. Did you see the man I talked with at the restaurant just now?"

"That handsome man with his girlfriend?" Sis Ting guessed.

Shirley frowned. "Yes, him. But that is not his girlfriend. Because I am." Shirley showed the video to Sis Ting and pointed towards the man who was seated in the middle. "This is Tang Jin. Back in his university day, he was in e-sport for a short time. I fell in love with him at that time."

Sis Ting could not comprehend what Shirley was talking about. Her face was full of confusion.

"He went missing from the scene just like that. I tried hard to find out about him, but it was hard since he did not disclose his real name. I mean, how could I find someone who is known as JN? I forgot all about him until when I came back the last few months, my father asked me to have blind date with some rich guys."

Shirley turned to face Sis Ting.

"I saw his pictures amongst the rest, and I knew I have to take this chance. I am finally meeting my idol. I make some research about his family. My father and his father were old friends. Jin has a soft spot for his sister. And I think we are meant to be. God is helping me to be with him. I even met his sister today. That is so unexpected. Thank god I did research and knew how she looks like."

Sis Ting had her full attention to Shirley. "You mean, the teacher in YY High School?"

Shirley nodded. She closed her eyes and had a blissful expression on her face. "I can feel it. Tang Jin and I are meant to be together."
